Where do I even begin. If you want a cake, you NEED to come here. Alejandra is the most creative, inspiring cake artist I have ever met. Long story short: My friend was having her bachelorette in Miami. I was in charge of the cake. Being all the way in Fort Myers, I completely left it to the last minute. Luckily I found this bakery on yelp, and Alejandra gave me the most reasonable quote. I literally interrupted Alejandra at the dentist to beg her to help me with a cake for my husband's surprise 40th bday...the NEXT DAY. She was uber accommodating and listened to my design idea of adding a Spanish flag to my original design. Ok I found her online and called and left a message for our request - she called me back (while out of town) and I sent her several pictures of a Phoenix Bird that I wanted as the theme to my cake. She said NO Problem - we can do it when do you need it...... I said I need it Thursday and it was Monday afternoon when I was speaking with her. She said don't worry. When I tell you that the cake was delivery at the exact time requested and the detail of the Phoenix Bird on the cake was SO INCREDIBLY AMAZING - my mouth dropped when I saw the cake. She and her staff truly out-did themselves and came thru on a level that I was over the top. That's not the end of my story - I then had another request - I needed 2 dozen cupcakes for a birthday party with very detailed large customer sugar flowers on top. I mean very detailed and gorgeous. I sent Alejandra the picture and again she said no problem. I am thinking she will do something in frosting but it will be pretty and I trust their abilities...OMGGGGGGG - She did the Huge Custom Sugar Flowers in the pictures even more gorgeous than the pictures!!!!!! I decided to order my baby shower cake from this bakery because it had great yelp reviews but honestly it was a huge disappointment. My cake was beautiful but did not taste good my guests did not eat the cake, we just basically threw it away. I requested a vanilla buttercream cake (not wet cake) with fruit filling, guess what I got a wet cake which my family does not like at all. I sent multiple emails to confirm my order, so this should not have happened yet it did. I immediately contacted the owner via email and the response was that all the cakes are wet. I felt so deceived because if they do not have the knowledge on how to make the cake I wanted then just let the customer know. Her flavors taste good but my experience was poor. I ordered 40 cake pops for a small baptism and was charged $4.50 per pop. They were supposed to be blue and white with a cross on them and individually wrapped. She ended up only making white pops, did not wrap them so I couldn't give them out to the family to take home, and the cross was just a piped cross, not fondant topper. It looked home-made and unprofessional and I was extremely disappointed with her service and response to the situation. I had to pick up the pops an hour before the baptism because "she needed more time" and then she wanted me to send the pops back to her with an Uber driver to correct the issue while I was at the baptism. No refund offered, just a "credit for next time." I'm sure she does better work but she clearly rushed and didn't take this order seriously and I won't be using her services again nor would the family members that saw this. read more
