Picture perfect dessert table! Loved everything!!
    Celine D.

We got a mixed dessert table for our wedding, and it was absolutely PERFECT! The pricing was so reasonable, she worked with our budget and our vision to create something incredible. Everyone loved the desserts, we got so many compliments on it! Everything was beyond perfect, and we would use them again in a heartbeat for any event.

not best photo of it, but pirate cake with black and burgandy flowers and black feathers, made to our specific order, awesome.

Best Cupcakes, best wedding cakes (my wife and I have now used Cake Goodness for both). It's pricey but worth it (this is not a Portos or Costco cake, their cakes are works of art). My (then fiance') and I went to several places and we had an exact idea of what we wanted. Everyone we talked to either said "no, you can't really do that" or frowned and explained that it was going to be a problem. The only one willing to put in a bid took nearly a week to give us a price and said "not really 100% sure I can guarantee how this is going to turn out." We finally went in to Cake Goodness. The lady who runs the place sat down with us and just kept telling us how she would accomplish it. She then pulled out a sketch pad and sketched what we wanted and adjusted the sketch based on our comments. She then gave us a price. She then made the cake and it was an amazing PIRATE SHIP CAKE. This cake was black and white with a pirate ship sketched onto the side of its four tiers, with black and burgandy feathers and flowers. It was WICKED. Our florist also made a comment that she would like to know who the cake artisan was as she was very impressed with how professional and easy she was to work with when they were setting up the cake and flowers together. You will pay a bit more, you will get way way more. If it has to be amazing, then Cake Goodness. If it just has to be a generic wedding cake, not the place for that.

I loved the cake that Melinda made for my daughter. My daughter and her friends were amazed by it, and most importantly it tasted great. She delivered on time and I didnt have to worry about it. I will be ordering from her again.

Melinda and her crew made our wedding cake and dessert table absolutely stunning. Not only was everything so pretty but it tasted even better!!! Win win! All of our guest wanted seconds for cake!!

Melinda and her talented staff created the most beautiful cakes and dessert bar for my wedding. I can't tell you how many people from my wedding still rave about the desserts. Melinda met with my fiancé and I and created the perfect cake and concept for our dessert bar. Her team delivered and set up our table and it was beyond gorgeous. They are detailed oriented and talented!

On sweeter side bc bigger chunks of sugar. Churro was also crunchier than expected, even through the center. I prefer churros to be a little doughy and soft in the center for contrasting textures - matcha horchata $5.10: reasonably priced, but too sweet for mine and SO's taste and the horchata really overpowered the matcha. Good for fresh churros at a decent cost, but not for me

Now I have yet to visit the shop, but my sister who is a big fan of this bakery has sent me pictures of the shop and the aethetics closely ties in with the packaging I have pictured. It is sweet, cute, bright and whimsical. The Loaf Bakery is produced by Okayama Kobo, a bakery chain founded by Tsunetaka Kawakami, that is open in Anaheim, DTLA, Honolulu and Laguna Niguel. The Loaf has the same quality of baked good, made with flour from Hokkaido, Japan, having no additives or preservatives. It is recommended that you eat it the day of since it has a shelf life of a couple of days. Talk about freshness! I recently visited my sister and her family and she had a box to share with me. We had the following: Red Bean Salt & Butter Roll: Simple and delicious. Highly recommend, especially to those who like red bean filling. Not to sweet (a high compliment given by Asians when talking about desserts.) Chocolate Emoji: Soft bun with custard inside Amande: Croissant with a cookie topping, topped with chocolate chips. Textures are crispy but not as flaky where it would be a mess. Matcha Azuki An Pan: Earthy tea taste with sweet read bean filling. Overall, I love what I have tried. I would love to visit the spot for their savory pastries and coffee.

So, we tried a bunch of items, and the only reason I'm giving this place 3.5 stars is because I think around here it's probably the best you're going to get. The custard buns were 3 stars. Didn't really like the bun very much. Custard was average. Yuzu tart wasn't very good. The pastry wasn't very flaky and the yuzu was meh. Didn't like this pastry at all. The best thing our group had was the strawberry croissants. That was 4 stars. Fresh strawberries and the cream was good and the croissant was flaky and buttery unlike the tart. I also had the matcha tiramisu, not pictured because I ate it but then threw it away. It came in a little plastic cup. Overly sweet and just not very good. That was 2 stars.

In the earlier years, they had ube lattes and blended coffee drinks but I am happy to see an expansion of their menu offering coolers, espresso drinks, iced coffees and halo halo. I came here on Mother's Day to get my mom some ube crack cheesecake instead of flowers. Good ube taste and not too sweet. Skyflakes crust are made from crackers popular from the Philippines give it a slightly salty, buttery crust. This location reminds me a lot like the Northridge location where it is located in a shopping mini mall. It has tons of parking which is the exact opposite of Northridge's location. Service was efficient and the people behind the counter were attentive. I had my dogs in the car so I ordered from the parking lot on their site using the Toast platform and waited until I can walk in to pick it up. It was convenient but I didn't get a chance to really pick up the vibe of the place. There are a good amount of tables available and I noticed more people were coming by to pick up orders. For me, I would come here mainly for their drinks. These coolers are much more delicious than a certain popular chain. This particular visit, I had ordered the Jasmine Calamansi, and it was so needed in this 91degree heat! Normally, I would order an iced sea salt coffee or an ube latte. The desserts here are fun as they use Filipino ingredients to give a new take on familiar tastes. For example, Milo is a chocolate powder drink that is used for the Milo cupcakes. Skyflakes is a brand of crackers that they use in the crust of the cheesecake. Other flavors they feature are ube, calamansi, turon My persona favorites are the ube flan, ube and turon pop tarts, crinkle cookies and the ube tres leches. Special note: halo halo here is made with a different interpretation and I personally love it. Growing up, I am not a huge fan of halo halo. My family put way too much of the jellies and canned fruit. I like Cafe 86 because it's way less, less milk and I like the frosted flakes for texture. I like the upside down halo halo because they used ube ice cream as a base and in size mini.
