Tomales Bay Kayak Trip Expertly guided by Leo and Brad Meet at 9AM, orientation prep, meet and greet. (small group. yay!) In the water by 10:30 Paddle around the bay on a tour tailored for the participants. See Hog Island, oyster beds, Cormorants, Pelicans, jelly fish, bat rays, star fish, seals, crabs, and other sea critters. Lunch (BYO) Paddle into some coves and a tiny sea cave in the white cliffs. Back by 4pm tired and happy. The guides were knowledgeable about the bay, the wildlife, environmental impact, nature, kayaking, and safety. We were in good hands. It was a much better trip than if we had just rented two kayaks and noodled around all day. They made it fun informative and friendly. While in between sights, we learned a lot of useful kayaking tips. The equipment isn't top notch, but is clean and in operable condition. The worst thing was the seat. My ass didn't deserve that kind of punishment. It has better karma than that. Lastly- I forgot my own advice and cut the cheese in my wetsuit again. Dammit!!!! As a reminder to all similarly minded people- 1. It's a time delay death bomb. 2. You only hurt yourself. 3. The wetsuit mutes the sound, but the kayak amplifies it by 10.

Staycation? Weekend warrior? This is the place to be today!

I learned to sail dingies then raced them, years ago. Greatly appreciate the classes and generous rentals.

My 12-year-old son and I had a fantastic private SUP (stand up paddleboard) lesson w/Kyle Winslow today.

You have the option of renting equipment there, or bringing your own and paying a small launch fee. I brought my own and the process was simple. Even though I've been paddle boarding before, our trip leader Lauren guided us through safety and paddle board tips. Getting on the water was simple and the views were gorgeous. Our group had an amazing time, I know I absolutely did. I can't believe Sea Trek is so close to me and I've never been here before. I had an amazing time and am already planning my next trip.

I just completed an introductory SUP class with Sylvia and it was so much fun. First off, getting…read moreto Sea Trek is easy. There is plenty of parking and signage in the lot directing you where to go. The Sea Trek office is clean, organized, and cute and Sylvia pointed out where everything was including the bathrooms, changing areas, and lockers. The class itself is about 2 hours long and started off with the basics before getting into the water. Then once we got in the water, Sylvia was great about suggesting where to paddle and guiding us on what to do when standing up on the board. The waters in the lagoon were very calm and easy enough for me to navigate. Everyone on the water was friendly and greeted us as we paddled by. Since there was only one other person in the class, Sylvia was able to keep it flexible and left it up to us to decide where we wanted to go and what we wanted to learn. I was glad that Sylvia spent time training us on what to do when falling off of the board as well. The course didn't feel like a standard class and instead was more like a paddle session with a fun friend who just happens to be an SUP expert. Steve was also helpful and answered all of my questions on future paddle sessions with my family. All in all, I really enjoyed my time here and I can't wait to go back!
