This review is specifically for the Floor & Decor in Leesburg, VA, and for both the design and management teams--especially Amy from the design team and Bryce, the store manager. My husband and I are renovating our guest and kids' bathrooms, and Amy was truly fantastic to work with. She was patient, thoughtful, and really creative, and she quickly understood what I was going for--something elevated but still within a budget. She had seen me working with other designers in the store before and clearly picked up on my style and preferences. Amy helped me find beautiful marble along with really complementary floor and niche tiles at great prices, and she even helped make some deals work. She genuinely has a great eye and comes up with tile combinations that feel intentional and a little different. Bryce was also great. After a frustrating earlier experience where a designer didn't send me my designs and then left the job--wasting time and setting things back--Bryce went out of his way to help turn that experience around. He was kind, responsive, and very focused on making sure I walked away feeling good about the store and my experience. He also helped make pricing work on some closeout tiles, which I really appreciated. I've spent at least six or seven hours in this store over the past few weeks, and everyone I interacted with was helpful and pleasant. If you're looking for strong design help, good pricing, and people who genuinely care about customer experience, this location is absolutely worth visiting. read more

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at F&D. The selection of flooring is really fantastic but what shoot out the most is the level of service from folks working there and particularly Bethany Sheridan. She helped us design every bathroom in our new house and we could not have done it without her. She had incredible ideas and has a great eye for design. She was so patient with us as we considered various options for flooring and helped us understand the pros/cons of each one so that we were comfortable making the final choices. Big box stores have a competitor around the corners. Floor and Decor in Leesburg is outstanding. I've redone a house in Fairfax and used the F&D in Alexandria. This Leesburg location is by far 100 times better in service. The displays are clean and prominent. You can get your step goals here if you are walking the aisles looking for the ideal floor, tile, vanity and backsplash. Staff is super friendly. Even in the early morning hours, a cashier is friendly and greets us. A special shout out to the designer, Amy. She has helped us twice in the past week. She has an eye for style and can help with the trends. She walked the aisles with us showing us the various tiles and decor. It's a simple process to get a quote on everything you want so you can walk away with a product quote. Highly recommend this location. Watch out HD and Lowe's. read more

Contrary to the glowing reviews of Amy (who was on vacation), our experience in the design center was disappointing. The employee we worked with was judgemental ("wow - what a small bathroom ... are you in a townhouse or fixer upper? .... no judgement!"), dismissive about what I did or did not want, and didn't even have a tape measure or offer to get up out of her chair. Thankfully, though, this led us to another wonderful designer at another store and we couldn't be happier. We've now expanded our project to two bathrooms and part of the kitchen instead of just the one "small" bath. One star. They had an employee in the design center. read more

From start to finish, the experience was professional, educational, and honestly, a lot more fun than expected--plus, it was long overdue (like, embarrassingly overdue). Had the flooring on the main level, stairs, and landing redone, saying goodbye to the chaotic mix of wood, carpet, and tile, and hello to the smooth, sophisticated charm of engineered cherry bamboo planks. Still getting used to the new look--sometimes I walk in and wonder if I'm in the right house. Was it cheap? Nope. Was it worth it? Also nope--just kidding! Totally worth it. I had a small tile project I wanted to use some handmade tiles I had but needed some regular tiles to go with and wandered into Floor & Decor in Leesburg feeling lost. After some unhelpful stops, I met Bethany in the design studio--what a gem! She took genuine interest in my project, walked me through what materials I needed, and even gave me a mini tile education. I had no idea we had a Floor & Decor so closeby! Finally! I was always driving to Woodbridge before. In general, I love how Floor & Decor has such an extensive collection of product and the store is always so organized. Went in today to browse some flooring for an upcoming project. An employee was going around asking people if they needed any assistance including myself. Much appreciated! A lot of samples were sold out, so I will have to order them online, unfortunately for $2 more each, but it's fine. The showroom of the whole place was overall huge, well stocked, and clean. Will be back once I make final decisions for my project. read more

The actual process and product we purchased were fine. Unfortunately, Floor and Decor does not offer their own installers. Instead, they refer you to a company called Installations Made Easy, which then finds an installer. We went through this process, and the installer turned out to do a complete garbage job with the installation. The locking mechanisms are separating, the floor is bubbling and lifting off the sub-floor. I have fought with the installer and Installations Made Easy for over a year now, and am taking them to court. When I asked Floor and Decor with their assistance with a company they exclusively recommend, they basically washed their hands of the situation saying it was a third party company and they couldn't do anything. You would think they had some push over lousy service provided by the only company they led me to for installation services, but they have basically said it was out of their hands. Yes, the store it pretty, and the sales people are nice, but when a company they exclusively recommend provides me with a garbage installer, all the glitz and glamor disappear. If you do not have a reliable installer lined up, do not rely on Floor and Decor to provide you with one. read more

Glad this store has finally opened! We had a great first experience purchasing material to refinish our 1,800 square foot basement and stairs. Store is well laid out, open and clean. You can tell they opened a few days ago because there were some small hiccups placing the large order. I attribute that to an expected learning curve. Customer service was outstanding! We were helped my multiple people who were all extremely helpful. A manager named Harrison provided all sorts of great insight to make us feel comfortable about our purchase. We learned a lot from him! James, Laurie and the store manager Jackie were all phenomenally attentive and helpful. They are fully stocked right now on hardwood floors, LVP, tile and marble...you name it. I doubt that will last given supply constraints. We had plenty of options and will definitely be returning. read more

It's great I have an alternative to big box home improvement stores. I had just got a quote from one for carpeting and was surprised at the high cost. We were in the area getting paint and decided to stop by this store to see if laminate was comparable. Amazingly it might be cheaper. We had many people ask if we needed help on a Saturday AM. We also stopped by the design center which was great to get ideas about new tile for our fireplace. The store/showroom is huge/clean and well organized. We found a ton of flooring for less than $2 per SF so we're very interested in getting a quote which requires us to get a free estimate through one of their two installation partners. Jackie the store manager helped us and she was extremely patient and informative about our options and assured us that we could do better than our carpet quote. We prefer laminate b/c carpet is just disgusting as being the one who uses our carpet cleaner. Will report back after getting a quote but so far very impressed with service, price, etc. read more

Husband and I had a great visit to Floor and Decor today. First off, we're glad they opened a location in Leesburg. We used to go to Alexandria, but this is much closer. Secondly, the store was clean and easy to navigate. We are preparing to start remodeling our bathrooms so this was a much needed trip. Their store had a lot of great selection of tiles for us to choose from. Customer service was the best! JJ was super helpful from the moment we got there to the moment we left. He answered all our questions and assisted us with figuring out what we need to complete our project. He helped us with figuring out what grout to use and what tile tools work best. In addition, he helped us load all of it in our car. Another plus is that the store allowed us to bring our dog. We called ahead prior to our trip and they said they allow them. Never use them for a large project. We decided to purchase flooring through here for our town house. The project got delayed and when we tried to return the new, unopened flooring boxes with the original receipt we were denied. Mind you the receipt stated after 90 days with the receipt you will receive store credit. They send you to a different customer support team that is completely unhelpful (only option is to mail in the dispute and after there was no response they said I could send my letter through email). Hope this is helpful for anyone starting a large project that might not finish quickly! Will never use again. read more

Huge shout out to Mike at this store! We were in trouble because we had purchased tile for a stackstone wall in our bathroom. Apparently there was not enough tile and it appeared as though a new lot had arrived in other stores. We went to four different stores before calling this location. Mike was super friendly and not only found us what we needed but had it waiting for us when we arrived. Can't tell you what a relief this was, you don't want to find it out in the middle of your project. My wife and I had a terrific experience shopping at Floor & Decor for our beach house bathroom remodels. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. On top of that, Cheryl, our designer, is an allstar. My wife is the options queen, and Cheryl worked patiently with us to explore seemingly every option in the store. We brought tons of tile home so we could mix and match and examine the many colors, styles and patterns in natural light. Cheryl knew her inventory well, and was able to guide us in narrowing down our choices. Another great thing to know is, Cheryl is facilitating the purchase remotely through the Naples Fl store. Floor and Decor recently opened a new branch in Leesburg, VA near where we live. They had a grand opening day planned back in the Fall 2021 and my wife and I went over looking to remodel two bathrooms. The store was not approved to open by the Fire Marshall on the day heavily advertised as they did not have all the requirements and inspections finished yet, but foolishly committed themselves to a big grand opening and advertising campaign regardless. We and many others were turned away after driving all the way over. Strike one. Several months later we went back over and after a few visits picked out some tile samples we liked. The store is basically set up self serve to buy whatever they have on the shelf, but how to order extra matching material wasn't clear, so we make a free appointment with a design consultant for the following Saturday. Upon returning to the store on Saturday it is busy. We arrive in the design center but it is unclear how or to whom to check in with. I have to politely interrupt a designer to inquire and she advises there is no process for checking in, but we are in fact assigned to her. She finishes helping the other folks and meets with us about 12 minutes late. No biggie. She assists us well with locating and making decisions on all the additional required elements needed for a full bath remodel and builds out an order for us in to the system. She did seem rushed. Unfortunately not all the tile we needed was in stock at the Leesburg store. We are told Floor and Decor does not do interstore transfers. The Alexandria store is supposed to have what we need in stock, but since its a busy Saturday, getting a visual confirmation from them would be very difficult as that is the busiest area store. We decided we will just make the hour ride over and pick up the extra three boxes we need to ensure we have everything in hand that day. Leesburg store says they will pull our order from inventory and can come back at 6pm to pick everything up, minus what we will fetch from Alexandria. We are taken to the register to pay. The online order built for us by the designer was wrong and we got charged double for a 31" sink vanity top. Fortunately my wife catches it at the register and we are issued a credit. If she hadn't carefully reviewed the receipt at that time we would have been overcharged and had to try to explain that another day. Strike two. We make the hour drive over to the Alexandria store and find the three boxes of tile we needed. We also needed some shower corner shelves and the store inventory showed plenty but only one was actually on the shelf. A store employee pulls two boxes from the back and we have what we need. We drive the hour back to Leesburg and its near the 6pm pick up time. We go to the store and check in by text as the signs direct. Speaking with a clerk at the loading dock he confirms our check in and says most, but not all of the order has been pulled. They cannot find some of the tile. The design consultant is summoned and says that all the penny floor tile we needed and had paid for must not have been pulled from the shelf quick enough and someone else had come in, picked it up, and bought it. The store inventory was now showing negative numbers. Her suggestion was that we could go back to Alexandria to pick up the tile as a "remote buy" or pick out something else, like it was no big deal. I explained we had just come from there after driving two hours and neither of those were good options. We settled on a refund of the penny tile at Leesburg and a remote buy of what we had picked out at Alexandria for 3/24. I was going to be in the vicinity that day and decided it was just best to get what we needed and be done despite the extra inconvenience. Strike three. We load up the picked materials from Leesburg and head home. Upon unloading we discover the staff had pulled the wrong grey top vanity. We quickly transfer that to another car and race back over before 7pm closing, arriving at 6:55pm. My wife calls on the way to inform one of the lead staff and verify that the color we needed was still there, as it was the last one on the shelf earlier. He pull it and meets us at the loading dock. We make the swap. Strike Four. This stores system seems to be very self-service whether picking merchandise from visible stock or self-ordering online. The lack of control of sold merchandise is inexcusable. The fact that interstore transfers are not possible even if only scheduled once a week is a huge burden on the customer trying to track down a few of this or that to match. Much of the store inventory seems depleted. It will be pretty hard to really have a wide choice of tiles to choose from for a bigger project unless you are willing to run all over the place gathering the few extra boxes you need. This is a fantastic Floor & Decor store with an impressive selection of tiles and knowledgeable/friendly staff. Stern assisted us with finding a floor tile that perfectly matched a shower tile we had already picked out. His close attention to detail, eye for design, and honesty about the durability of different tiles for our unique bathroom space helped us to finally feel confident about our bathroom renovations. Before coming to Floor & Decor's Leesburg location, we had been comparing tiles at countless different tile stores for over a year.
