    My Jeep

DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE! I took my 2021 (2.5yr old) Jeep Wrangler Sport into the service department because I had been experiencing the engine fan revving, which led to the overheating light coming on twice. They came back after a very short period of time and said I need to replace my entire engine and it would cost me $16,000. That's right sixteen thousand dollars. They said my radiator and condenser was clogged with mud which caused my engine long blocks to overheat and warp. They said because I had been Off-roading the warranty was voided and I would have to pay out of pocket. Mind you I hadn't touched an Offroad trail in over a year and this problem just started. On top of that I am super meticulous about keeping my baby clean. They didn't look at the thermostat or water pump. They didn't suggest replacing the radiator first. They went straight to engine replacement. I then asked for photos of the clog. They basically lifted the hood and snapped 2 pictures of my engine bay, which I will admit has dirty water residue from Off-roading on it. NOT thick mud. They never took off my grill to look at the radiator. They didn't take anything apart to look into the engine to see the long blocks. I pushed back and said I'm not replacing the engine and asked why we wouldn't just replace the radiator first. The tech said let me ask the mechanic and call you back. I NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN. Side note, I did notice before I took it in that the 2nd coolant reservoir was empty but I didn't touch it because I wasn't sure what to do with it. I didn't tell them that. When I picked up my Jeep later that day, I noticed they filled that reservoir. I haven't had an issue with the fan or overheating since and it's been 2 weeks. No one from the service dept was there to talk with me when I went to pick it up. These people tried to charge me $16k to fix a coolant issue. Luckily I was smarter than that. But I still had to pay $200 for the dam diagnostic which was a rip-off. They still have yet to contact me and ask about my experience or my vehicle. Tony Hooper at Calavan was cute but only helped to give unsatisfactory service and try and scam me. I will never go there again and will tell my 900+ Jeep Wrangler/Gladiator community to never go there as well. Moral of the story, do your research and don't trust the dealership.

This is the disclaimer that Calavan Jeep snuck onto my service receipt. Shenanigans!

If dgaf had a twin it's this place. Before they became Calavan Jeep, customer service meant more to the team here than now. And I haven't just had 1 bad experience that left me with this impression. It's been a slow decline of decent level service over the past 36 months. I took my Jeep in for an oil change on a Saturday morning 6 weeks ago and while changing my oil the mechanic cracked a component that houses my oil which resulted in me having an oil leak. No one from the service department informed me of any issues occurring and I discovered my oil leaking on my own from the huge spot in my driveway. What they did do though was place a disclaimer on the back page of my receipt (shown below) stating that the dealership isn't responsible for any cracks, etc. or anything aside from the requested service. This statement has never appeared on any of my other service receipts and I've been loyal to this dealership for 5 years plus. I'm a realist and I understand that mistakes are inevitable but my patience is nil when deception comes into play. I keep my maintenance up on my truck so that I remain independent because I'm a disabled woman. I made several attempts at trying to get a service advisor on the phone to discuss this matter and got nowhere until I filed a grievance with corporate. The service manager, Mr. Whitehead, upon greeting me opened the dialogue by asking me, "What happened to me, and what do they call it, Muscular Dystrophy?" He was referring to the way that I walk while using crutches, which honestly has no bearing whatsoever with the matter at hand. His question caught me off guard and I simply told him I'm grateful to be alive after being in a bad wreck years ago. He went on to let me know that the disclaimer printed on my service receipt, is also on all service write up receipts that they do, and that this wasn't an isolated case and concluded by telling me he had several other vehicles in his shop that now have a crack resulting in an oil leak as mine does. This type of thing happens all the time and Jeep won't fix it at no charge to me, and that this is a common issue that comes with older vehicles. The next day he called me with a quote of an amount in excess of $1600 and that was after he'd taken $200 off the original estimate. This is a stressful situation for me now and I still have an oil leak that must be resolved soon. But why would I entrust Calavan Jeep to do the repair, when they weren't honest with me prior and allowed me to leave after paying for an oil change, and my truck is leaking oil? All trust is lost.

I had to use the emergency brake to stop on the side of the road. The mechanic it was towed to said the brake line was completely rusted out and needed to be replaced. The manager at JT Chevrolet told me I bought the car 'as is' and they had no obligation to repair it. They called me back a little while later saying if I could get it towed there, they'd fix it as a gesture of goodwill. Fine, the brakes are still very soft, but I'm at least able to stop. Last month while changing the battery, I found that instead of a metal super connector, there was a literal piece of lamp cord that had been stripped on both ends. Additionally, I had to replace two tires due to slow leaks, the washer fluid reservoir is completely cracked, the belt was cracked and worn, and I had to replace the headlights. There is a oil pressure error on it now and it leaks slowly. I've probably spent more on it than its worth at this point. I would never recommend buying a used vehicle here. They clearly just washed it and threw it on the lot without opening the hood or checking under it, at all. These are things that even a Jiffy Lube would notice but apparently their service department cannot. If I could go back to October, I'd buy somewhere else. I just don't feel safe in the vehicle, but also don't feel comfortable selling it to someone else, because unlike John Thornton Chevrolet, I have principles.

Service Dept. lackluster,…read more Brought car in for recall service on a Friday. Fred advised vehicle would have to be driven to lessen fuel to complete repair (as opposed to siphoning existing fuel and replacing it). Then suggested he would have mechanics drive fuel down. As of following Wednesday, nothing had been done at all and they failed to even call. I had to call and then he insisted that I pick it up to drive down the fuel level before he could perform the recall that could repair fuel problem. Took the vehicle back on Monday. As of Thursday (today) still "haven't gotten to it." I sent an email previous Saturday asking for rental car and Fred admitted he received it and did not read it. I have been without my car for over a week collectively and the service is unacceptable. Fred is a salesman. He is great with pleasantries, smiles and suggestions for one to spend more money. Fred is not a serviceman. He does not follow through, act proactively, return calls as promised, under-promise, over-deliver, go the extra mile, exceed expectations, or show his true loyalty to the customer. What is paramount is not making the sale, no, the true top is customer retention. Nissan of Lithia Springs Service should focus on keeping the trust of customers for the life of their car and free water is not it. I would feel great if a dealership inspired by truth and safety would tell me "Sir, your car's in great shape" and call me with updates before I have to call them begging for an update.

I took my 2022 Nissan Altima in to get the rear passenger side seatbelt replaced. I had an appt at 9:15 and arrive on time. My car was taken back quickly however a 2 hour time frame turned into 5 1/2 and we left with no car and more repairs needed. Aftere waiting for 3 1/2 hours I inquired as to what the hold up was and was told 30 more minutes and then after an hour had passed, 30 more minutes. When they said it was finally finished we got in the car and pulled out only to notice that an airbag light was now on. We circled the parking lot and came back around to service where they said that they woud plug the car up to the computer and see what was wrong. Apparantly when the service man but in the seatbelt he damaged the airbag. They said they would need to order a new one and replace it again. They were going to let us leave with the car and I asked if it was safe and they said "umm well not really. No one should sit there." I have two children who ride in the backseat so I insisted on a rental car. I got this set up and they ordered the part and said it should be done the next day which was a Thursday. I could not get it on Thursday so they said over the weekend is fine. I spoke with Karissa on Friday and she said it was ready and that everything had been tested and working properly. I drove the 40 minutes to pick it up and when I got there the seatbelt was not retracting properly so, after I had been assured it was fixed, I had to leave the vehicle again. I was not happy and repeatedly, 4 times, left messages for Mr Curtis (who was filling in for Mr Warren the service manager while he was on vacation), Mr Warren, Karissa, and the general manager with ZERO return calls. On Monday II called in to check when I could pick up the car and was informed that they thought Karissa was off. I left a message with the receptionist for Mr Warren and left him a voicemail as well. He never returned my call. Finally on Tuesday Karissa called and said that the car was ready. We went to pick it up and everything worked properly. No reply from Mr Warren or Mr Curtis on our experience. It was horrible. I would never go there again nor recommend it to anyone

Update! Kevin contacted me, via text after reading the…read morereview, asking that I take the review down and allow him an opportunity to come back out and look at the vehicle, free of charge. Kevin shared that he was at risk of losing his job and was a lead tech, although listed as the owner. 'Management' also contacted and asked that I take the review down and offered to refund the labor. At this point (2 days later) I had already taken the vehicle to the Toyota dealer, as his 'management' advised the vehicle was complex and initially declined looking at the vehicle without another charge. Toyota Diagnosis: improper fitting and installed spark plugs. Cost: 98$ inspection- which was deducted from repair cost. Repair cost total, including one day vehicle rental, 468.79$. I reached back out to Kevin and 'Management', via text and email, three consecutive days- excluding Sunday, explaining the outcome and requesting a partial refund (spark plugs, diagnosis, and labor). I have not received a response and am now seeking civil action. Receipts attached. Again, the purpose of this review is to bring awareness.

2011 BMW 335i e93…read more Paid $1,300+ for a repair just for him to break my clip to the fuel rail, pop off the tips/tops to my brand new $1200 coil packs, left the ignition coils unplugged and said it wouldn't start. Kevin was supposed to replace my valve cover, MAF sensor, coolant hose, Fuel Sensor B, Air intake temp sensor, and Fuel regulator. This was all supposed to fix my minor misfire problem. I wasn't able to be there for the main repair bc i had work but he had called me and told me that he couldn't start the car but everything was good, and that it was bc the battery was dead/dying. Naturally i believed him bc my car had been sitting for a while, when i had went to check on the car the day after ready to jump it the car wouldn't turn over like it would before, i told him about this initially and he said that he would come back and check on his work. He never did. But upon further inspection i found several things wrong: The bottom 2 coil packs weren't in or seated properly (when taking them out the tips/tops weren't even connected) and the connector that goes to my fuel rail had been broken. These are just the things that I had noticed off rip, so only God knows how extensive the damage really is. After I noticed all of this I brought it to his attention by calling/texting him but he wouldn't respond- when usually he would answer almost right away. Today I tried contacting him again only to find out that my number had been blocked. This has ultimately been a waste of time and a huge waste of money whereas now i have to spend even more on a wiring harness or figure out how to or even IF i can solder a new connector on, buy new coil packs, etc. on top of already spending a good amount of money on a failed and botched repair. If you want my advice, the best choice is usually the hardest one.. don't look for mobile mechanics, or mechanics who don't own an actual shop or any "do-it-yourself"ers. Just take your car to an actual shop where you can get it properly and professionally looked at. You're gonna have to spend a lot of money anyways, so you might as we do it right the first time around rather than hop scotching to different mechanics and ppl. I just wish i would've known this sooner, don't be stubborn or a penny pincher, bc pennie's pinch back and when they do it's gonna hurt like ab.
