I tried 3 ppl before finding her and I'm SO incredibly grateful. Not only is she talented and actually listens, but she is also kind and fun which makes spending a couple hours in that chair fly by. She is reasonable in her pricing as well, which makes it possible for me to afford to maintain my hair vs skip meals to afford getting my hair done and waiting 6 months to a year to do so again.. which makes it seem pointless at times. The amazing, talented, sweet Ashley not only gave me exactly what I wanted - her consultation was full of knowledge, patience, and explanations - which made me so comfortable and all nervousness left my body. I had one of the worst salon experiences I've ever had here…read more They contacted me out of the blue after 3 years with a promotion for a blow-dry, wash, and $25 haircut. I told them I no longer live in Santa Clarita, but I was willing to make the drive and even planned my day around it. For context, I take very good care of my hair; I recently have done keratin treatments, color, and consistent maintenance. My hair was long, healthy, and recently styled (even during Coachella), so I came in expecting a simple refresh. When I arrived at my scheduled appointment time, they were still washing each other's hair, and I had to wait. There was no respect for my time, especially considering I drove out of my way to be there. Another issue: I wanted to keep my personal belongings (my jacket and bag) with me during the appointment, but they kept insisting on putting them on a rack, which made me uncomfortable. The biggest problem was the haircut itself. I specifically asked for NO shaggy layers, and they completely ignored that. They cut off a significant amount of length and left my hair looking uneven and unfinished. It was honestly butchered. Communication was also very difficult--most of the staff barely spoke English and primarily spoke Russian, which made it hard to clearly explain what I wanted. I showed photos and emphasized just face framing layers. And in english many times not to touch the back. When I told her to stop cutting she insisted and kept going I begged her to stop. To make matters worse, I left my jacket behind. I offered to pay for priority shipping, but instead of simply helping resolve the issue, they insisted on coming to my home, which felt inappropriate. When I spoke to the "manager" Nadia there was no apology. She told me I "shouldn't have taken the promo," claimed she wasn't aware of what happened, and said she needed to "investigate" by looking at their cameras, even after I showed her photos of my hair beforehand. The manager made things worse and allowed stylists wash blow dry own hair while I have an appointment and waiting. No listed licenses on the salon. If these were done to the ladies at this salon cut your own hair really short without permission and staff shampooing at your appointment time, and asked to stop but won't. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I left upset, with my hair ruined and no accountability from the salon. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
