But today, today I got to check out the café. I got an invite to have lunch with my MIL and her girl gang. Of course I couldn't say no. Unfortunately we came on a day that a lot of the staff wasn't in. So, a portion of the café was closed. I guess thier entrée selection at lunch is on point. And the day I decided to come was the day I couldn't check it out. It's all good! We made do with what was available. My MIL and her girlfriends headed towards the salad bar. I decided on a burger. The chef that was working was so kind! I got a double patty bunless burger with cheese. I asked for it to be freshly made and made well done. "Piece" of cake the chef said and started on my burger. I would have loved to add the lettuce, tomato and pickles but unfortunately I couldn't since it was available to everyone. But I'm always down for just the patties with extra cheese. While my burger was being made, I got to check out the venue downstairs. I love the dim lights that are hung in another part of the area. It's so romantic and cozy. There were a couple spots for food and I believe coffee. I didn't want to be gone too long but it's cool I got to peep it out. I'll have to see if it's coffee shop next time. An afternoon caffeinated beverage is always a good idea. I headed back and grabbed my burger. It looked fabulous! The gentleman that checked me out was kind and grabbed me a fresh set of plastic ware since I can't really use communal. I appreciate how kind they both were. My burger was extra cheesy and really well done. It was a little dry but ketchup, mustard and relish took care of that problem. I needed it well done so it wasn't on the chef. It just had to be cooked that way. And I ate the whole thing. Lunch was chill with my MIL and her friends. I did get to peep out all the huge Scentsy buddies on the way out. Who needs a bed when you can just rally a few of those buddies and pass out. I would in a heart beat! I just need 3 and my bed would be complete. I have yet to check out the lights during the holidays. That's on my to do list this Christmas. I look forward to experiencing it. This venue is so pretty, the landscaping here is always on point. The staff that helped me today was so kind. I look forward to coming back to have another burger and see what other goodies I can check out.

Every year in April, my family and I participate in the MS Walk at Kliener Park. The MS Society…read morehas been hosting the walk at this park for several years now. It's the perfect venue for the walk. There are some walkers who have Multiple sclerosis so the fact that the paths are so easy for their walkers, mobility carts and wheelchairs help them out a lot. Having a nicely paved path for them is so important. I appreciate that there's so many things to do and see at the park. The walking trail of course. The big playground for the kiddos. The big water fountain to sit and chill by. The wildlife having babies and seeing them hanging out at the park. It's hard not to get sidetracked during the walk to look at all the ducklings. Kliener Park is so beautiful and clean. There's always a grip of people here all the time. It's great! People are out, enjoying the sun and getting in some physical activity. I wish I lived closer to this park. I would love to ride my bike down here just to get some fresh air and sun. I do look forward to coming back soon. Hopefully before next year's walk.

If I had known about the bats, I would've visited sooner. This park has stocked ponds and fishing. I was there for almost 2 hours. All of these photos are taken in sequence with the intention of giving you a sense of what it's like to walk through the park and loop around to the sidewalk that runs down Maple, then re-enter the park and exit. What an great little park! A large expanse of field for all your recreational needs (there were kids playing soccer while we were there and still plenty of field to enjoy). They have a great play ground with equipment flanked by benches and surrounded by trees so you can easily sit and watch the kiddos at play in the shade. There is a nice covered picnic area (conveniently adjacent to the bathrooms) where you could enjoy a little alfresco picnic style dining (or even reserve for an outdoor party or gathering). They have a single basketball court. And, there's even a couple tennis courts for those who like to volley their way to a little game-set-match. The parking area is rather small, but the parking at the Table Rock trailhead is also quite close if overflow was needed. Overall a great park, with great amenities, in an awesome location. Get to it!

I decided to walk from the hospital down to 8th st. to grab a coffee. With it being so beautiful out, I took the opportunity to enjoy the morning. I grabbed my coffee and went to go peep out this park. The park is simple, small and beautiful. The grass is lush, the flowers are vibrant and the vibe is calm. I walked around to check everything out. For it being downtown and all the cars that are buzzing by, it truly was relaxing. I was able to chill at a picnic table for a bit. I sipped on my coffee and absorbed mother nature. The sun hitting just right. The light coming through the tree branches. And the wind gently hitting your face. It was truly a beautiful moment. With the Capital looking all majestic in the background, it's hard not to appreciate how stunning this park is. I adore living in our little city. And I adore how maintained and magical this small park is. I'm happy I got to stop and smell the roses at the park today. Life takes over sometimes but it's so important to stop once in a while to enjoy it. You might miss gorgeous opportunities like the one I had today.

He also served as US Secretary of the Interior from 1977 to 1981 under President Jimmy Carter. Andrus was known as a strong conservationist and held strong environmental views. During this second stint as governor, Andrus vigorously opposed federal efforts to store nuclear waste in Idaho. Other than the beautifully smooth concrete paths, lovely shade trees, and bright green grass, the park has a number of captions that detail the life and history of Governor Andrus. This is in downtown Eagle. There are fountains in the summer, a gazebo, some benches for seating…read moreand a small grassy area. It's a great spot to take a little break during the day, if you're out in downtown Eagle. They have a Saturday market from 9:30AM - 2PM. This year the market is open April 23 - October 15th. We've been to the market a few times over the last several years and have enjoyed it. There is nowhere near the selection as the downtown Boise market but for Eagle, it's a nice Saturday morning outing!
