They were quick to give a quote and completed the entire project faster than projected. They worked on my project every day Monday - Saturday for 8 hours a day. They paid great attention to detail. They accidentally broke one of the existing water hose line and fixed it without me having to say anything. They noticed a couple of things that could be improved throughout the yard (replacing gutter drainage, replacing old city sewer/water containers) and provided reasonable quotes to fix all them. At the end of the job, they left the site nice and clean. I would recommend using them for any landscaping work.

Hire Rafael if you want perfection and to work with a great guy…read more Rafael and his team did an incredible job on my brick stairs in the front of my house. Several steps had buckled due to tree roots and fixing it was an involved job. Not only did my steps need to be demo'd, but the original bricks needed to be preserved since they're no longer made in that size. The next step required large tree roots to be dug up and cut out. Finally the bricks had to be cleaned of the old mortar before being used to rebuild the steps. A lot of masons couldn't handle this because they either didn't have the skill for the demo or didn't want to bother with the detail required to preserve the bricks. Rafael was not only willing, but he also had the skill and attention to detail needed to do this job and at a competitive price. During the project he worked with me and was extremely accommodating with my feedback and requests. Not once did he ever give me an attitude or show any signs of being annoyed with my requests. I would have understood if he had though because I was being very particular about how the steps were done. He told me he understood because I'd be going up and down these steps every day and anything that felt off or wasn't done to my satisfaction would be a constant reminder and a daily source of frustration. When they were done, the steps are amazing and perfect. It would be difficult to tell that they weren't originally done with the house. I'm very happy with how they turned out every time I walk on them. Rafael and his team also did an amazing job cleaning up which included a power wash of the steps; an unexpected but welcome surprise. I'd hire Rafael and his team again without hesitation. VH Home Renovation is AWESOME!…read more My husband and I recently purchased a home in Redwood City that needed remodeling and updating. We interviewed numerous contractors, but in the end decided to go with Victor with VH Renovation because he really took the time to understand what we wanted to do, and how we wanted to get there. We were looking for a contractor who we could partner with, which is what we found in Victor. Our first project we wanted to tackle was a kitchen remodel. Victor and the VH crew took down a load bearing wall that was separating our kitchen from our living/dining space, and replaced it with a flush beam to create a seamless open concept kitchen/living/dining space. He took the whole kitchen down to the studs, rearranged the foot print, added an island, replaced the old windows, put in recessed lighting, re-wired the majority of the main living area, and added plumbing. Victor is a true craftsman, the trim job he did around the new windows is so beautiful that I don't want to cover it with window treatments. Every time I look around the space he remodeled for us, it amazes me that it's 1) really my house, and 2) that Victor was able to take the ideas I had and make them a reality. If you are looking for a contractor who will partner with you, really listen to what you want, and help you get there cost-effectively and efficiently, then I would highly recommend you go with VH Home Renovation.
