Came in to grab a rental car covered by my insurance as I had gotten into a car accident recently…read more The branch itself is quite small with maybe 20 cars or less. Unfortunately, they only had SUVs for rental as I was picking up on the weekend. Still, I was able to secure a sedan later on once the weekend rentals started to trickle back in on Monday. Service was friendly and quick with no complaints. Some of the cars are a bit on the older side, but still run decent. Overall, worth a visit if you're in a bind and need a rental.

IF "BAD VIBES" HAD AN OFFICE…read more Just a review for the La Crescenta location. They really need to scrap the whole entire staff and start fresh. We walked in and there were 4 employees (i believe 2 appeared to be off from the context of the conversation that they continued to have as my daughter and I stood there being ignored). One woman was a manager, I believe. They did not acknowledge us and continued their conversation. Even once we finally began to speak, the girl still continued the conversation with the others in between the questions. We had a rental paid for through the insurance of the party that had totaled our corolla. During my initial conversion with Enterprise, I was asked if I was ok with the "mid-sized vehicle which would be similar to [our] car" or if I'd like to upgrade to something bigger for a charge. I said we wanted something similar to the corolla. Well, when we get there to pick up our rental, we were offered a bright blue, tiny, banged up Mitsubishi. I stated that this is not similar to a corolla which is what we were told. She said it was in the same class and we'd have to pay for an upgrade. I told her that I would make a phone call before signing for it and called Enterprise's main line. The woman on the phone agreed with me, put me on hold and then the young girl came back and offered a corolla that had been parked there prior to my arrival, claiming that they had just received it. So we agreed to the corolla. Now for the icing on the cake..... As the employee did the inspection with us, there was a young boy washing a car in front of our rental. Each time his fellow employee walked in front of our car, as a courtesy he would aim the water at the floor. Each time my daughter and I walked in front, we would not and would continue to wash the car, wetting us. The entire experience was one of those moments that you wish you could record because it is so odd and doesn't translate through words. When returning the rental, we made sure to bring it to another location that wasn't being ran by foos gone wild. I was not surprised to hear from my neighbors that they also had a bad experience with this office being dishonest and claiming damage to vehicles that were already damaged.

I wanted to believe that all the YELP reviews were wrong. Why did I think 100+ 1.5 star reviews…read morewere all wrong? Ugh. The check out wasn't bad. The lady wasn't friendly but customer service wasn't something she excelled in. She charged me $258 in "incidentals", when I inquired why so high, she said "You'll get it back when you return the car." Budget and Avis are the only 2 rentals places at Burbank that open at 5:30a. I came at 5am to get in line to return car. 6 cars in line. I'm 2nd. They took first car and fourth car. Did I mention I was 2nd? What the heck? I asked if there was a reason he took the car 2 cars behind me and he just looked at me. It was 5:25a. I asked him if he could inspect my car. He said inspections start at 5:30am. So I asked him what he did with the cars at 5:10am (cars 1 and 4) and he said "Check them in." I said "So basically, they're turned in?" and he said "Yes." So not sure what's the difference between "Turned in" and "Inspected" so I just left my keys on the dash and left and while I was walking to the airport it got notification that my car was turned in. While waiting for said guy to come back and turn in/inspect my car, the 3rd car guy and I were chatting and told me next time ask for a hybrid so I don't waste much gas (I was given a Jeep Compass). I give up.

The listed rate of the Mach-E was $140. - In the lot, I notice near the smaller EVs that there were two Mach-Es - After a haggle the agent relented and allowed me to drive the Mach-E, I had confirmed and paid for ahead of time for 7 days. - Found out it was very difficult to charge an EV in the areas near my hotel or near where my mom lived. Spent hours searching online, finding broken chargers, very long waiting lines or private chargers. - Called Budget to switch to a gas vehicle and was told no problem and no extra charge, return the EV and pick up a similar ICE SUV. - When I returned the Mach-E, the agent, Evelyn decided to rent me a small SUV listed for $70 on their website at that time. - I asked for a similar car with a similar rate. Evelyn refused and became dismissive. She offered me a Mazda CX5, again listed on their website at $70 not the $140 rate of the one I returned. - With no choice or options, I drove the Mazda for the next 5 days. It did not have navigation and made my drives with my mom around LA a lot more difficult and time consuming. - Once back home, I called Budget so-called "customer service". I first talked to Andrea, she refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor. After asking several questions she put me on hold for over 12 mins. She came back and claimed that the rates change often. When I told her that I showed Evelyn the rates using my laptop, she promptly hang-up on me in mid-sentence. - I called back and got agent Valencia. She said she could see that my earlier call was disconnected. She wanted to hear all of it from the start. Again, as I was explaining the rate difference, she also hang-up on me in mid-sentence. I should add that I am an AARP member and used the AARP link to reserve on Budget's website. It also says that I am eligible for a free upgrade. What I got was a down-grade and no charge adjustment.   As many before me have recommended, do not rentle. from Budget/Avis since they are shameless dishonest scammers. NB. Offered "Fastbreak" to skip the lines at pickup. They asked for all my info including DL and Credit Card. As soon as I entered the info, they charged me for the week's rental without asking. Also, non-refundable.

Learn some common decency and let the customer speak and decide before talking like that. In addition, the car has a stupid white sticker in the middle of the passenger side of the window. Not even lower right corner. Pretty sure this is illegal. This place needs to be reported. Sticker is glued shut and audacity for it to say do not remove. Bunch of dummies run this place- why would you put a sticker in the middle of the window obstructing the view for driving. You can literally see the view can hide an entire car. Someone needs to shut this place down.

When we arrived LAX, the Greenlight shuttle they mentioned in the email instructions does not exist. In the instruction, it says the bus comes every 20 minutes and we waited 45 minutes. Never came. I tried calling their number but to no avail. We gave up waiting and decided to Uber going to their office which was very expensive for a 2 mile ride. When we got to their office, after asking for my name, they said "You are late!" No "sorry" or "thank you", just unpleasant demeanor all over. They asked us a bunch of questions in a very rude tone and because I don't have the same patience level as the others who wrote reviews for them, I said "You know what? I get it that you're not happy to have us here, just cancel my rental please." They just rudely responded saying "You have to call Priceline for that, I cannot cancel it for you." I called Priceline and told them about the whole experience and they approved my cancelation, immediately. Stay away from this company. They should not be in business.
