Park in the pier parking lot, for a fee, and you will see stairs taking you up to the pier. There are great places to eat from fine dinning to cheap hot dogs. It is all great. They have a Bubba Gump's there which is great. They have rides for little to adults, that is an extra fee. Getting on the pier is free. The views are wonderful at sunset and the beach and then ocean is right under you. It is just fun. Kids love it. It has a great boardwalk and a ton of arcade games. I like it at sunset during the summer, but I like to avoid the heat. The service at the eateries or at the games is just so great. They are nice and will help you. They also have a small Santa Monica police place there, in case there is a problem or you lose your kid. It is great fun.

The last time I was here, construction was happening on the bridge that leads you down to the boardwalk. It's still blocked off so no cars are allowed down and only one side of the pathway is open. Anyways, not sure how long that would go on for. This past weekend, the boardwalk hosted the Thai fest by the Beach event on the pier. A nice weekend of amazing Thai food, vendors and of course entertainment. It was held on the side where the parking would normally be and next to the amusement park area. Slightly blocked off on the side of the rides but still accessible. The event was free and welcoming everyone. Mainly a lot of booths but majority of them were food and drinks. You're greeted with the sweet smell of fresh homemade Thai dishes. Pretty much each booth had a line. Some did move faster than others while some were a VERY long wait just to order and then more waiting for your item. Regardless wherever you went, the food was great. Some stalls did have your traditional Thai souvenirs, clothing and trinkets. While others were a mixture of everything. Not a lot as mainly they were food stalls. Right in the middle was the stage that hosted different performances with dancing, singing and so on. They did have tables set up just in-front of the stage area but very limited. Also the seating, there was a good amount in-front of the stage but limited as well. All in all, I would say the event was very successful. Food wise, we did get some of the skewers and boat noddles which were quite tasty. Skewers, 10.00 for 5piece of pork or chicken and the boat noodles came up to 18.00 a bowl. It was quite delicious. Besides the event, there were loads of things happening on the pier. Of course the amusement park area was very lively and busy. Both with visitors and people that came to attend the festival. And then you have the arcade area which was also very busy. The pier as it's a well known tourist spot does being in loads of visitors daily. Even if you come for a stroll along it and catch the waves and people watch, it's great. Theres a few snack booth but you have the main restaurant as you come in, Bubba Gump. If you haven't been, it's something that's a must in Santa Monica.

I had an amazing and professional experience on my first skydive! My tandem instructor, David…read moreWalker, and outdoor photographer, Andries, were both friendly, skilled, and great at what they do. David was especially reassuring throughout the entire process, knowing I was a little nervous. He gave detailed instructions and was clearly very knowledgeable. Parking is available on-site, but it can get full and cramped. I parked across the street, where there was plenty of space. If your check-in time is delayed, they'll email you. There's also a restroom to the left of the entrance. Once inside, head upstairs to sign the digital waiver, then check in with the staff. I recommend bringing a bottle of water and a small snack, especially on busy days when you may wait 2-3 hours after check-in before your flight. Your mouth can get very dry during the ride up, so gum or candy prior helps. Lockers are available once your name is called. Come with patience- you definitely want everyone involved in the parachute setup process to take their time for safety. There are usually 4-5 skydivers per group. Once your name is called, you'll get fitted with your harness and then take a short bus ride to the aircraft. The boarding process was efficient. I was first off the plane, which gave me less time to overthink! The initial freefall is incredibly fast, so remember to breathe and keep your eyes open to fully enjoy it. David was an awesome tandem instructor, and I felt safe the entire time. I also appreciated the longer airtime to enjoy the sunset. The photos turned out great too! I highly recommend Gojump for their professionalism and friendly team.

I'm sure they deal with a lot of new people a land they are doing an amazing job. I was very lucky to have Nico as my instructor and Nate as my videographer! They were sooo great ! I was starting to get nervous on the way up there and Nico was so great to reassure me and make sure I was safe. Everyone was so cool and super fun! I'm really happy I was able to experience this community, their humor is top tier which made this experience even better. Nate was my videographer and he was awesome and I'm really happy that he interviewed me and he was able to capture these moments even though I forgot to look up hahahha anyways this was such an amazing experience and having Nico and Nate made it even better. Parking is a pain but persistence paid off and I found a spot two blocks down. I took 2 kids (not mine) age 7 to this camp. The facility is huge with different rooms, activity areas, and even a kitchen to make lunch as a group. The day the kids went, it was lasagna rolls. Before choosing this place, I looked at other day/summer camps like Zooga or options like Pamper N Play. I asked some questions via email and they were pretty fast in responding and being very helpful. Upon arriving, there were a couple kids who were "regulars" and all seemed happy and excited to be there. The facility looks like a very equipped community center/rec room. Clean, well maintained, a huge plethora of toys to keep a kid very busy. During the day they leave the venue to go to the beach, a local park, zip lining, etc. Seems very well run, organized, and they start the day off by having a meeting as a group to talk about the day's schedule and activities. I came to pick up the kids 15 min early and they were having such a good time, I let them play until it was time to go because they did not want to leave. Worth trying out to see if your kid enjoys it!
