The first time we visited Scooter's Jungle was for my son's friend's birthday party. I had never heard of Scooter's Jungle, and didn't know what to expect but was so impressed by the way the event was run that we hosted my son's birthday party at Scooter's Jungle a few months later. The reservation process was easy and the staff walked me through each step and checked in when they said they would to finalize details. Once we arrived, they helped to unload our car with the supplies and basically set up the party room themselves--which was awesome and looked great! The kiddos are given a quick breakdown of rules, and then we all went into the Village Arena. I really like that you get the play and dining areas to yourselves. They ran around like crazy for about an hour and half. There's a huge indoor slide which was fun not just for the kids, but also the adults! I wasn't sure if we should book the village or ultimate arena, but for kids ages 2-10, the village arena had more than enough bouncy houses and activities to keep everyone entertained. We had two staff members assigned to our group, I think their names were Eddie and Jacob? They were seriously fantastic. It was nice to have people step in to help with moving the party along, and also with set-up and clean-up. Their help made the party so much more enjoyable for me as well, since I could focus more of my energy on my son and our guests. The food was yummy, the staff was great, and the space is perfect for little ones. Oh, and there's quite a bit of flexibility on the food items you can bring in which can help to cut the overall cost down. If you're looking for a venue that has a private play and dining space, maintains a list of attendees and their respective gifts and cards, handles loading/unloading vehicles and set-up/clean-up, AND provides food options all under one roof--then Scooter's Jungle is the spot for your kiddos next birthday party extravaganza! read more

i went here for a birthday party my major complaint is that when we got escorted out of the play area and into the dining area i had forgotten a diaper bag and went back inside the play area we just exited and there was a new party already inside, there was no type of cleaning or wiping down of the play area thankfully my kids didn't catch anything but if they had i would have been even more upset, for this i give them 3 stars read more

Scooter's is such a good place to have an indoor playground type of birthday party. They do everything for you, including the neat service of tracking gifts for you. They keep a numbered list of guests who sign in and put that number sticker on the gift they bring. So smart! I'd say the target age is probably 3-6? I know they advertise for older and younger, but the best parties I've been to are 4-5 year olds because they can actually enjoy the big slide and use the play areas with minimal adult support. The parties are completely private, so no mixing with the public. They do pizza and cake service for you. They are friendly. The birthday kid gets a king's crown and special seat at the head of the table in their party room. The only "complaint" I'd have, if any, is that the kids have so much fun in the play area that sometimes it feels rushed once we get into the party room for cake. Also, the location is a bit random, they do have a parking lot, but spaces seem limited if you come during a hot hour. Despite that, it is very easy for the host. read more

The good: This is a wildly amazing space to host a kid's birthday! I came for a birthday party and it was amazing! I was amazed that the entire play space was private for your own birthday party. The space was huge with vaulted ceilings and a separate dining area. I liked how the workers there helped serve the pizza and drinks. The birthday kid got to sit on a throne which was super cute (king of the jungle!). The room had a giant inflatable slide and two other large inflatable structures. There were also little cars on the ground, a shoe cubby, and a fun climbing structure that adults could also fit into. The staff were friendly. The bad: We came for open play (2 hour window where you can come without it being a private party) and they were full and at capacity within a few minutes of opening. The private play space could've been a bit brighter. The parking lot is small but they have an overflow parking lot adjacent to the building. The interesting: They have a gift check-in for parties where they have a cart to hold your gifts for you before entering the play space. They even checked in during the party after doing a head count and suggested adding more food, which was super helpful. A wonderful experience. Both children and adults in our party had a wonderful time. We booked the Ultimate Arena room and our group ranging from one year-old to 76 years-old all had something to do and enjoy. The whole facility from lobby, play equipment, and play room & meal room were clean and well maintained. The staff were all FANTASTIC! Friendly, efficient, and professional. They really did take care of everything from helping to load/unload the car with supplies and gifts, setting up the decorations with little to no directions needed from me (the host), and they were so great engaging with the adults and children. They set up the room better than I could have done myself, helped serve all the children food and drinks, were there to assist when needed and also gave us space to enjoy ourselves without feeling monitored. They also tag and itemize your gift bags/boxes so you know who the gift came from once it's time to open presents. I had an idea I wanted to host my LO's 5 year birthday party here but wanted to test it out first so we came during one of their open play nights. Pricing is great for one adult and one child at around $23 for two hours. Since it was just me and my LO with a bunch of strangers I played with her and got on all the jumpers and the jungle gym. The play started at the Village Arena which is friendlier for the younger crowd and then shortly after they opened up the Ultimate Arena. The Ultimate Arena is geared towards the older kids but still super fun for the 5 to 6 year old group. We especially loved the obstacle course. After one hour this mans was beat and ready to go home but my LO wanted to stay forever. So you guessed it, we booked for get birthday party on the spot Once booked i recommend using evite to send the invitations. The Scooter's Jungle evite isn't the most user friendly. Someone will call you a few days ahead of the party to go over all the details and add ons. You will get email reminders about a week prior so I just called them when it was convenient for me The day of the party. They make it so easy! The party package comes with 7 pizzas and 3 pitchers of refillable juice or soda. Mia was our assistant during the party and she came out with us to load everything onto a cart. I brought juice and snacks for the kids. I also bought sandwiches, veggie tray, and a fruit tray . I find cupcakes are just easier than bringing a cake. I also put together my own gift bags but you can add the Scooter's one to your package and they look cute as well. Mia was perfect. She checked in all the guests and their gifts. So polite and always checking in on us and having a pitcher of water with cups ready. The kids (and adults) get to play for 1 hr 45 minutes and then we head to pizza and cupcakes for the last 45 minutes. Then she helped Calvin set up the dining area and Calvin took over when we were all ushered in for the food. It was so easy! I don't have to worry about set up nor clean up. Calvin then helped load the kids and leftover food to my car. Scooter's Jungle is such a well oiled machine. Most importantly everyone had a blast. Some kids didn't want to leave for food and some kids wanted to return the next day. Gave my son a 10th birthday party here and it was perfect! The easiest celebration ever. Firstly, booking and follow up was simple and straight forward. The price was right too, especially considering what's included. You get a huge private arena that makes it comfy for any age (we literally had guest's from 6 months old to 88 years old). The fun was for all ages, including adults. It was freeing being able to explore without having to worry about strangers with the children. The hosts were the stars. They handled EVERYTHING. They set up the dining room with the decor I brought, which included placing cupcake toppers and building a tower. It was nice to enjoy the party instead of hosting and serving. I didn't need to do anything except have a great time. The pizza was way tastier than expected; it was good quality. Scooter jungle was safe! That I feel is most important to share, first and foremost. Unlike other party play areas of its kind, it's definitely fair to say Scooter Jungle is the better of them all! When you book a party, you're assigned to your own bounce room, for you and your guests! No need to mix and mingle with people you don't know, or have an overcrowded scenario that's extremely dangerous with all these little ones endlessly running and jumping around! The party we attended had an allotted time to play and jump, the room was clean, and I loved that they gave clear instructions to the kids before entering the room! Safety first for sure! After the time was up, we all went to the private dining area to sing Happy Birthday, share in some pizza and have cake. I live in central Los Angeles but went to two fourth birthday parties at Scooter's Jungle in El Segundo last month. Both were for kids with older siblings, and one was actually a joint party for a four-year-old and her big brother. Most of the indoor playground-type places we've been to seem made for the under-five crowd. Scooter's Jungle feels like it could be useful for like a 3rd grade party. The downside, if your four-year-old has a younger sibling, is that it's not that interesting for toddlers, but even our little one found stuff to do when he wasn't screaming in terror every time I tried to take him into an enormous bounce house. He enjoyed pretending to play ping pong and air hockey (and actually, so did his big brother), but there weren't any toys or like play kitchen/grocery store/fire stations. Instead, there were huge, impressive inflatable structures with things to climb and long, fun slides, which I personally experienced with my children taking turns in my lap. There was also a giant jungle gym with a super fast slide that my older kid absolutely loved. He went in there and I barely saw him for like fifteen minutes at a time. I enjoyed that one too when I went to see what he was doing. The floor scooters were another hit, and easier to access when he was feeling less adventurous. The staff was pleasant, and the party was well run, definitely easy for all the guests. There was ample lot parking and a fast check-in process where we unloaded gifts and got pointed to the correct party space (I think the venue can handle a couple at a time). The kids got a good couple hours of play time, at the end of which they were all corralled for a group picture--a nice service, and impressively executed. After that, we all moved to a separate room for pizza and cake. The food (which I think was provided by the venue, though I'm not sure) was not bad. I honestly like any kid party venue where you can lose track of your child and feel confident he isn't in physical danger. I imagine we'll be going to more parties at Scooter's Jungle in the coming years, and I'll always be happy to make the trip to El Segundo. read more

I had a true 3- star experience. I'll explain why: The cons: I had called a couple of times to explain that I've never been to this venue and to walk me through what a birthday party is like, and I was given the impression that we have a fully private event from 3:15-5:45. That's actually not the case. You're expected to arrive at the venue at 3:15 even though they don't go over the safety rules until about 3:25 and then they actually let you into the play area at 3:30. You have NO ACCESS to the dining room until about 5 o'clock because they overlap parties, which was a huge problem for me. I bought a ton of decor to decorate, but you only have a very short time frame to decorate which is why you notice most of the parties posted look kind of janky. Also, you will get a gnarly rug burn sort of burn on your skin if you go down the big slide without long pants or long sleeve shirt, we all got burns on our bodies. That's not even the biggest problem. You're expected to serve and eat all of your food and do cake and give party favors in a very short 45 minute timeframe. I was literally just beginning to chew my food and they said we had to do the cake. I jokingly asked if I could have time to swallow before we do the cake. While you are in the dining room, you also have no access to the play area because another party enters the play area so you only have private playtime from 330 to 5 and then the dining room for exactly 45 minutes. The entire thing is extremely rushed. The Pros: The staff is super nice and really helpful while you are on site. You have about 2 to 3 people helping you set up and are extremely attentive. The play area is also super fun and the kids love it. Would I throw another party here? Probably not unless they change the policy and allow at least an hour and a half of dining and take. Kids eat really slow. A lot of my guests were complaining that their kids were crying because they were so hungry while they were in the play area. I would suggest turning the area that is directly across the giant slide where there is a jumper into a dining area that is accessible during the entire party. That would've made everything perfect or throwing one or two less parties per day, so there isn't such a tight schedule and just charge slightly more. read more

Amazing place and service for my kiddo's 5th birthday party! We booked "The Village" and it was plenty of space for 20 kids and 20 adults. It was our group's private party area which was great. The staff was well organized with time management and instructions. They continuously came in to check if we needed anything and to let me know timing for the food etc. I actually got to socialize and enjoy my son's party. In a word: EASY Online booking was easy (albeit plan early to book a Saturday afternoon!). Ordering food was easy - we did a mix of ordering pizza and bringing in food. They just call you a few days before your event. Day of the party, they help you roll in everything you bring. There are clear signs for your guests. No worry to set up or take down, they do it all for you. They even send you home with a guest list with #s tagged to the gifts. EASY! Just had our son's 7th birthday party at Scooter's. Had about 20 kids and 20 adults show up and we were in the Ultimate Room. We got the package that comes with 7 pizzas and pitchers of drinks. We added on 3 orders of wings, 15 balloons, 1 large age "7" balloon, and 5 table coverings. They let you bring in other stuff so we brought the cupcakes, sparkling water for adults, a fruit tray and veggie tray, and other food for adults. The total was $1176. If you are willing to pay that, you cant do much better. Scooters treats the guests amazing and runs like a fine tuned machine. 2.5 hours in and out (tack on 15 minutes at the beginning and end for the host family). The kids have a blast in the massive amusement area with slides, bounce houses with dodgeball, basketball amd volleyball. An obstacle course, air hockey table, ping pong table amd foosball table. They get about 90 minutes of playtime which is plenty. Just as the kids are running out of gas, Scooters will have the dining area fully set up so the kids can get started eating right away. They also serve the kids food and keep the schedule going. They clean up and will even box up leftovers and bring them to your car. The food is good enough (much like most kids bday party good). Hard to imagine a better operation. It's surely somewhat of a premium over having your own party. But the time it saves and the fun the kids have to us was well worth it. We tipped our two Scooters points of contact $40 a piece. Definitely book well in advance...the place is well known and fills up quickly. read more

Once my kids were inside and ready to have fun we were asked to leave because it was a private event. My kids were super sad. They didn't offer a voucher or anything for their mistake so that we could come back at a later time. Just rude silence as if it was our fault. Fantastic experience hosting my 6 year old daughter's birthday party at Scooter's. 100% recommend if you'd like a no-hassle, high-reward, crowd-pleasing party. They were extra communicative, easy to work with, punctual, and did everything at the party so I could mostly socialize or play. I showed up with cake, chips and a fruit tray and they did everything else including keeping track of all gifts - who gifted it, descriptor and label. Borderline genius idea. The birthday party is for 2.5 hours, with 1.5 hours of play in a large space with a huge climbing structure, multiple bounce houses, and a gigantic inflatable slide, then we all get ushered into a smaller room where food is served. We hosted a party here for my son's birthday. It is a fun place, kids love it, there is a lot to have fun with. Pluses: 1. I really liked how they pretty much take care of a lot of things (set up and clean up, help you carry things in, take care of the gifts, etc). 2. Big variety of entertainment for the kids. Minuses: 1. It is quite pricey compared to other places, especially when they start charging you for extra kids and adults. I am already paying close to $1k, just let me invite up to the limit and stop nickel and dime for extra people. 2. 45 mins for a pizza and a party if too short. We ordered pizza but the hostess lady was on her own schedule so she stopped serving pizza after 10 mins and just packed us 4 boxes of pizza to go while some guests came up to me asking if there was more pizza left. She couldn't wait for us to leave the party. 3. The big slide can create really bad skin burns. They did talk about it at the beginning but very briefly. We had several adults with burns and kids too. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed and warned about in a more profound way so that the host is aware and every parent is aware. It definitely created a lot of tears amount 5 year olds. Overall, the facility is nice and kids seem to enjoy it. The handling of the party feels like a money grab and less of a personalized approach. The whole party felt a little transactional, especially at the very end -in a party room with the food. read more
