This is our second time here and it was so much fun for the kiddos the first time we made the drive to come out again especially since we had some coins left over since the kids were so successful. This time around was a bit more challenging for the kids and after using their coins they only won 4 toys total between 3 kids playing with 142 tokens. I was upset hearing the kids complaining about not winning and when we left they started crying so I went back in and after talking to the woman behind the desk she explained the games more in detail and explained how we could have a better experience next time and one of the employees grabbed some extra coins and gave some great tips and helped the kids each get one more stuffie on their own. I will recommend this place 1 million times over because they could've been defensive and turned me away and blamed the kids but they instead used it as an opportunity to create an experience for the girls and as a mother that's worth more than anything. I'd say this place is family friendly and worth a try thank you all for helping the girls again. read more

I've only written a few reviews. That's because I'm lazy and I don't review places unless they are extraordinarily good or bad. Cali Claw is great! There are a lot of claw machines out there that scam you for your hard earned money. But not the ones at Cali Claw. Don't get me wrong, you're not going to win every time, so don't expect to. There's luck and skill involved. But the chances of you leaving the place with a cute stuffy in your hand is way higher at Cali Claw than anywhere else. The owners are fantastic. They give you tips on how to win, they are kind, and sometimes they will even go as far as placing a prize on the edge of the chute just so you can easily win it. When I went, there was a kid with a garbage bag full of prizes. Not sure how much he spent, but I spent $25 and left with 5 medium sized prizes and a smile on my face. I took kids in their teens and they also had a great time. This is a gem of a place and the owners earn and deserve all the business they get. read more

Honestly I think those two one star reviews are just mad because they're unskilled/impatient. Been here a few times and didn't take anything home, but I'm definitely not crying about it. And just like everyone else mentioned, they helped rearrange prizes so I would actually be in a winning position. Ended up missing, but the kid after me got it and so did a few others, so I highly doubt this place is a scam. Would rather spend my money at a small mom and pop like this too instead of going to round 1 at 2 or 3 times the price. Also... these places are still here to make some kinda profit to stay in business. They can't just give out prizes, but the extra tokens give for a chance to win is more than I can ask for. What kind of lesson does it teach your kid if you give them something for losing? Safe to say I'll be back many more times so I can get enough prizes in the bank to trade for one of those giant plushies above the machines! read more

Wow. If you've ever wanted to watch your money disappear in real time, Cali claw machines delivers. The claw has the grip strength of a sleepy kitten and lets go of prizes faster than you or your child can say "rip-off." You could drop a brick into this thing and it still wouldn't make it to the prize chute. I'm convinced it's here solely to teach kids disappointment early in life. Went here for the first time with my daughter (7) and her three best friends. The place looks cool and you can see right off the bat that there is a good variety of prizes to go after. The prices are reasonable and the owner was super friendly and helpful. You can see he really wants you to win or at the very least not leave empty handed. He opened machines to re-position toys and coached them to give one of the girls who was having a hard time a better chance to win. Which she did end up winning. He also sells PopMart and other little collectibles. Will definitely be back and will consider having a kids bday party there. read more

If you like claw machines, this is the place to be. I used to go to Round1 for the claw machines but since trying this place, I haven't looked back! Caliclaw is my favorite place to go for claw machines now. The people who run the place are so awesome and nice. They're approachable and very available to help you out with anything without hovering which I greatly appreciate. They'll offer to rearrange the prizes in the machine so it's easier. You can also switch the prize you win for any prize from the same machine so you can always just aim for the easier one to win. Also also, you can bank/deposit your wins back to them and trade up for any of their bigger prizes on the shelves/on top of the machines either same day or at a later visit. On my third visit, I accumulated enough prizes and was able to trade up for one of the huge Sanrio Kuromi plushies that they had. Pic attached! 10/10 I'm forever trying to win the biggest prizes which is almost unfortunate for me because their smaller/mini claw machines have the cutest prizes actually. Bonus: they have cool token deals, so depending on how much you buy, you get extra. Everytime I buy them straight from someone working the front, they throw in some extra "warm-up" tokens. They also sell blind boxes! The first time I went, my cousin pulled exactly what she wanted from BOTH blind boxes that she bought. I can't recommend this place enough honestly. Fun family owned claw machine spot. Prizes were cute and trendy like Pokemon, Labubu, One Piece, Stitch and other cutesy plushies. With the mini machines you get 2 tries per token which I think is awesome especially for the little kids to win. Employees were very helpful with repositioning the prizes and would offer tips on how to win. They were actively trying to help us win a Stitch in 1 of the machines which was surprising, and we ended up winning it! Yay! After our winnings, it came out to about $10 a plushie which isn't too bad! I would recommend this place for a quick claw machine fix for date night, kids play date or just something to do. You can also trade your smaller plushies for a bigger one - and they offer a "bank" where you can trade it at the store and they create an account to "hold" it for you, a great idea instead of lugging all the "meh" plushies home. Another fun fact is that they do offer you tokens to play vs a virtual card to swipe (vs Round1) - and my kids loved putting the tokens in each machine. Highly recommend for friends and family to visit! They do have AC, but no restrooms - important factor when going with the kids. read more

Stumbled upon this place on yelp and so glad we did! As soon as we walked through the door, we noticed how clean it was and there was so many awesome prizes! The owners were so welcoming and very friendly. They told our kids that if they win a prize at a claw machine but there was a different one they wanted in the same machine, they would let you swap it out! You can also trade in your prizes for a bigger plush at the counter. My daughter is a huge Kuromi fan so it was awesome how they had a good amount of Kuromi prizes. Not surprisingly, I came onto Yelp to find perfect reviews and dozens of experiences just like ours! The owner was there with his family, and he was so amazingly helpful and kind with our kids. My youngest was getting frustrated with her attempts, and he helped with some extra free tries and rearranging the toys to help her out. Everyone is saying that they have weak claws, which IS true. But, the employees are aware of this and if they see you struggling, in our case, they helped, and gave us tips on how to get it, and when we couldn't, they gave us 5 free tries and even that twice! On top of that unheard of level of kindness, when me and my friend ran out of tokens, they refilled it with enough for us to divide it and have 9 tokens each, for no cost. TWICE. Weak claws, I was over it half way thru my tokens because the claws wouldn't pick things up, and if you finally got something to pick up, it shook horribly and would send the plush flying across the machine. Ended up with 2 prizes after spending $25. For reference, we go to claw daddy's in Fresno when we are at that mall, probably every visit. They want you to win, will arrange things to help you win. I will spend $10 there and leave with double what I got here. They even have a "pick an item desk" when you spend $10 which is why it's our minimum. But I always get enough to give each of my boys a prize when I get home, This place made me thing I would actually have to go by another plush elsewhere because I couldn't get 2 from $25. I would recommend adjusting the machine strength to allow for more wins because a winning rate lower than 25% is horrible and this place is isn't even giving a 10% chance. Good luck getting repeat customers. Because I know we will never return. read more
