But, the employees are aware of this and if they see you struggling, in our case, they helped, and gave us tips on how to get it, and when we couldn't, they gave us 5 free tries and even that twice! On top of that unheard of level of kindness, when me and my friend ran out of tokens, they refilled it with enough for us to divide it and have 9 tokens each, for no cost. TWICE. Weak claws, I was over it half way thru my tokens because the claws wouldn't pick things up, and if you finally got something to pick up, it shook horribly and would send the plush flying across the machine. Ended up with 2 prizes after spending $25. For reference, we go to claw daddy's in Fresno when we are at that mall, probably every visit. They want you to win, will arrange things to help you win. I will spend $10 there and leave with double what I got here. They even have a "pick an item desk" when you spend $10 which is why it's our minimum. But I always get enough to give each of my boys a prize when I get home, This place made me thing I would actually have to go by another plush elsewhere because I couldn't get 2 from $25. I would recommend adjusting the machine strength to allow for more wins because a winning rate lower than 25% is horrible and this place is isn't even giving a 10% chance. Scrolling on instagram and came across this place and was excited to see that we finally have a claw arcade out here in the East Bay. The arcade is super cute! And soo many great prizes to be won! As well as other merch to buy. The owner's are super sweet and to play is a good deal to me $1 a play for the larger claws and $1 for 2 plays on the smaller claws. Bonus points for the Kaws statue! We go to a lot of claw machines places and this is NOT the place to go. We like Starbunni in Danville way better. The machines at Cali Claw have loose claws and do not hold a grip. We purchased a groupon thinking it would be a good deal however we left with a measly keychain. It didn't matter if we were playing the small machines or big ones, both were not generous at all. I don't know what strategy people are talking about on these posts. There is none. They just want your money. Starbunni won't let you leave empty handed. They will give you a prize if you do not win anything The selection of prizes at Cali Claw are okay in comparison to Starbunni. I doubt we will be back. Not a good value. We checked out Cali Claw this week and had a blast! The owner is incredibly friendly and shared the story of how a family vacation and kids inspired him to open this claw machine spot. My girlfriend and I drove up from LA to visit some family and we looked for some clawcades nearby to fuel our claw machine addiction. We stumbled upon Cali Claw as it had one of the highest ratings I have ever seen for a clawcade-- and rightfully so. It was quite a drive away from where I was so, my girlfriend and I went inside with pretty high expectations. We were not disappointed. The prizes are super cute -- ranging from Labubu plushies to blue and grey Totoro (my favorite childhood movie!). They also have Sonny Angels you can win which is pretty neat. The owner is extremely generous as he puts all his customers first. He gave us extremely useful advice on what angles to look from while trying a claw machine, which actually helped us win so many prizes! He even opened the claw machines to readjust the plushes so we would be able to have a better shot on winning! The prices are extremely reasonable and the claw machines are not rigged like the other places I have been to. I had so much fun and made so many great memories with my girlfriend and we agreed to make a drive up from LA again to visit.
