The plant selections were well thought out and low water, low maintenance, won't deteriorate our hillside, and the deer and rabbits so far are not eating the plants...yippee! I won't tell you they were inexpensive- It was not an easy decision to hire them. However, I feel like we got a great value for the level of service they provide- which i'd refer to as absolutely spectacular. Besides the results, several aspects of HOW they work impressed us: First, although this was a fairly complex, multi-month project with a few unexpected wrinkles (thrown in by us), they completed it on time and on budget. The one and only change order was small and was well communicated in advance. We chose to proceed and it was all crystal clear. Second, their workers are top-notch. They were professional, organized, and detail-oriented craftsman. Every single one. Walls are straight and level with deep foundations and proper reinforcement; walkways are level; every detail is perfect, including the underground details that no one is ever going to see. They show up on time, work hard and leave it clean, *safe* and organized at the end of the day, every day, which we appreciated because we have young kids. Third, this is no fly-by-night organization like some in the landscaping world. Karen and Omar have long-term employees who have insurance and benefits, take their breaks etc. They do things right and aren't going to open you up to a lawsuit if someone gets hurt. They listened to our feedback and adapted the plan in ways that made a big difference, working with materials from our house that made the new space feel like it has always been this way. Just like some other reviews, our experienced with Dominic ended badly. They do not care about your…read morefish. In fact it sounded like they wanted me to kill them and start anew. This is the only company that sent a formal "maintenance off boarding ." My fish were dying with string algae in their mouth. After a call, they somewhat cleaned the pond. Dominic kept ranting that my 3 fish were too big for the pond. The pond went back to string algae and moss everywhere with extremely low water levels. Even when I called them the tech would not add the water. Dominic called me to add the water myself. I questioned that isn't it bad for the fish and shouldn't they do it? He profusely assured me it doesn't affect the fish and for me to fill it. Now I am with another company that says the autofill was disengaged, the pump (Dominic installed) was too weak, the pond was extremely dirty, needs bacteria and is over chlorinated and I should NOT fill the water myself. Our pool was suppose to be completed in 6 months. We are now in our 10th month because they work for a few weeks then don't show up for a month. When they return they send one guy each day to work on a huge $500,000 project. ELD is completely unreliable. They won't give you a schedule or they will tell you verbally their plans and never follow them. They make a lot of mistakes that constantly have to be fixed. If they do concrete work, it will crack immediately. They insist that concrete always cracks upon pouring it, however, good well prepared concrete does not crack upon pouring. We have cracking in all of our coping around our new pool and it's a month old. ELD only likes to work on the parts of the project in which they make a lot of money on. They don't work on the other areas. Each time you give them a payment, expect them to not show up for a month. They go to another project and work on it for a month and leave you stranded with construction. We have never spent so much money and been treated so horribly.

Once I got here they told me they only sell to contractors but sold me what I needed anyway. They had some sprinkler wire on sale which is what I needed and was less than the price at Lowes, also I purchased an anti-siphon sprinkler valve for $11. I told one of the workers what I needed and he went and got all of it for me. I saw they also sell the grass turf, seemed like they supply that in large quantities. Not sure if I'd come back just because they're so far out of the way. But otherwise it was a good experience.

Our needs included a complete upgrade which called for a redesign of a large section of the property, a new pool, fabricated rock feature with waterfall as well as a natural looking 10 foot tall hedge to hide a security fence. Of primary importance to me was that Garett was easy to work with. Very relaxed and completely knowledgeable in the various kinds of plants and trees to put in the yard. And he is a great pool designer as well. After we approved his designs, he took out a can of spray paint and personally "hand drew" the curved outline of the future large pool in the yard. He also designed a slide for the children to slide down through the rocks and a nice grotto that a person could swim into - it was like a cave. Oh, he even designed a beautiful stacked rock BBQ area by the pool. In the end, that section of the property was complete transformed and the owners were completely amazed and pleased at the upgrade. One of the most important factors in choosing Garett was that we wanted the yard to look natural. He promised it would and in the end it certainly did.
