Worst contractor I have ever dealt with. My roof leaked after 5 years of installation and the owner, Ezra, took no responsibility for the hiring of the roofing company. Don't waste your time or money with this contractor because he does not stand behind his work. He is not trustworthy and the workers he hire are substandard to say the least. I had my roof inspected after it leaked and was told that it was put up improperly. He also has had other complaints against him. My suggestion is to please check out your contractor before you hire one. Save yourself some time and money and don't hire this contractor. read more

I spent close to 20K on a new roof and within 3 years it has given out. Did I alert the company? Yes. Has anything been done about it? No. Do I have mold now? Yes. Do I have water damage now? Yup, so much water damage. Is my roof COLLAPSING and is drywall falling in? Yes. I've called. I've emailed. I've sent photos in email and in text. I've asked for Landmark Construction Crew to make it right. The last email I got is attached in the photo gallery below. Still nothing. And guess what? IT'S THE RAINY SEASON IN LA. SO MORE RAIN. I was having issues in my house with the draft due to my windows leaking and bad insulation not to mention my bills were high I was referred by a close friend who used them and highly recommended them. They have done a full energy audit to assess our issues and after the completion of their audit they have replaced our windows, replaced the old insulation , removed my asbestos ducts and installed new energy efficient ducts , and we are so pleased with them that we did our solar system with them and after all was completed they did a final test out energy audit and the results we amazing difference from before. My air conditioning went out a few weeks ago and I'm very grateful that I called Landmark Energy Upgrades to fix it! In the middle of a heatwave, my air conditioning unit broke down and would only blow out hot air. We originally called another company, who told us that the heating unit was not compatible with the AC unit and that the entire AC unit needed to be replaced. Even with all of the discounts that they were offering, we were still looking at having to spend around $4500. We decided to get a second opinion, so I called Landmark to come take a look at it. Charlie and David came out and they were very polite and professional, and after inspecting the issue, they informed me that the unit was just low on coolant. I would give Landmark Energy and our project manager, Yaron, a 10+. We hired Landmark to put a new roof on our home and detached garage, insulation, new windows, and a few other home improvements. Yaron came to our house, listened to our objectives about what we wanted to accomplish, lower energy bills! From the beginning of the job, until the end, Yaron was in constant contact with me daily about ETA of various crews, status of work being done. He stopped by a lot during the entire process to make sure everything was running smoothly. We are beyond thrilled with the work done. In just under two and a half weeks, all of the work was done. At the end of each day, the respective crew would clean up, no messes were left behind. I was very apprehensive about the new roof going on because it involved removing our solar panels and having the panels reinstalled. The day after we passed inspection, Yaron had those panels back on roof, working perfectly. I was stunned at how fast and smooth everything went. I would highly recommend Yaron and Landmark. I'm going to miss having Yaron stop by to say hi. He is just a wonderful human being and loves what he does. read more

We employed Landmark Construction Crew to make our home more Energy Efficient. We had new loft insulation, crawl space insulation, new windows in the whole house, doors weather sealed and all outlets sealed. We also used Landmark to replace all of our grass with artificial turf in our front yard and around the swimming pool in the backyard, utilising the LADWP rebate program. Ezra and Charles employed good contractors to complete these improvements and we are very satisfied with all of the work carried out by the contractors they employed. We have used the HERO home improvement payment plan (via property tax bills) to pay for these services and Ezra and Charles were familiar with this plan and guided us through the application process. The charges by Landmark Construction Crew for each element of our home improvements have been competitive to other local providers. As with any construction we had a few bumps along the way, which were resolved to our satisfaction by Landmark Construction Crew. read more

I actually previously wrote an extremely negative review of Landmark Construction Crew / Ezra Laniado and I ended up taking down the review in an effort to make piece with him. After the review, Landmark finished up some remaining items and I paid the balance owed. After the agreement, we each signed that we have no legal recourse to each other. Now, about 16 months after we moved in, we have a leak in the roof. This was a new roof and put on by Landmark. When asking Laniado to repair the leak in the roof, he refused. You would think if a leak shows up 16 months after job completion, they would fix it... I would not recommend Ezra or his company to anyone based on everything we had to go through with him. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - poor response, overall quality sucks, poor with responding & addressing warranty items, a lot of lies to get the work, etc. Reason - a few years ago, we paid over $40,000 to Landmark Construction to do work at my home, consisting of attic insulation, entire front yard redone with drought tolerant landscape (including synthetic turf), replaced walkways and porch with brick pavers, etc. Overall they did a good job, but they started getting really sloppy at the end of the job and was slow to complete the job. The sloppiness of their work showed up just a few months after they finally finished as we had lots of weeds that started to grow through the turf and Landmark was not willing to take responsibility. The project manager, Abraham, kept making excuses and stringing us along (more delays). After several attempts to get them to come out to address this issue, they finally came out to check it out and still did little to resolve the issue. Abraham was very rude, disrespectful, argumentative, and just a downright horrible person (little does he know, I recorded some of his phone calls talking so much crap). We also had a landscape consultant and another contractor inspect this problem and they both noted that Landmark did not take the necessary steps to prevent weed growth, especially for it to occur so soon after the turf installation. In addition, we are only within 2-3 years of the completion of all this work and our porch pavers are starting to fall off, we are finding that they never cemented some of the pavers around the landscape area and they are coming out, the energy efficient life paint, is peeling in some areas, weeds are still growing through the turf, & was promised the new gate paint would not rust, but it rusted after one year. I've tried contacting Landmark and they say they are not responsible, but asked me to send pictures and have not returned any of our calls (3 weeks ago). Do not hire Landmark Construction and if you do, good luck. They take your money, but do not want to take responsibility for the integrity of their work product and are very unprofessional. Once they are paid, you are on your own and the warranty they provide do not matter. read more

Got an Approval thru the Hero Program which is a company who facilitates Pace Loans for energy efficient upgrades for homes. Called Landmark and set an appointment for a week in advance to get an estimate to get my house painted, Windows replaced, and to get drought proof landscaping. They called 2-3 times to confirm and then on the 2nd call she told me that they may need to reschedule. I told her (Jessica) that I couldn't reschedule due to work and that's why I chose Monday because it's my only day off this week. She says okay and tells me someone will be there between 9-10am. Monday comes and at 9:45a. Jessica calls and tells me the 14 freeway is closed so they can't come. I checked Apple maps and Waze while on the phone and the freeway is not closed. I let her kno that I'd find another contractor and she immediately says okay and hangs up. I knew this was going to happen yesterday when she told me she didn't wanna send her guy to Palmdale then back to the Valley and back to Palmdale again. We spent several weeks to look for a contractor that can remodel our kitchen and wood floor. After talking to several contractors, handymen and kitchen companies to help us with our remodeling and to replace all the flooring in our house and to remodel the dining area and the small patio that is connected to the dining area doors, we decided to go with Landmark construction energy crew. Charlie took a lot of extra time during the meetings that he had at my house in order to understand what we were looking for and helped us to design the perfect kitchen, the patio and the dining area for us. I wasn't sure about going with real wood, engineered wood or large tiles that looked like wood for our flooring and Charlie talked us about it and he brought some samples to us just to see how they look and how will they fit in the house, costs and time involved with both options (at the end we decided on engineered wood and we love that decision). The work was completed ahead of schedule due to the fact that Charlie involved more workers at our house and each of them worked on something else simultaneously and Charlie was on top of them supervising all of the workers while they were working on our kitchen, dining area and patio to keep the project moving forward - Wood floor, appliances, electrical, plumbing, concrete, drywall and painting. All of the work was top quality and the price was very competitive. Best of all, it was very clear that Charlie wanted to make sure we were happy and was willing to go above and beyond to make sure he delivered. He knows what he's doing, is an extremely nice guy, and works harder than anyone. I've had my fair share of contractors who promise everything and don't deliver or have a million reasons why the original budget turns out to be just a starting point. I was very wary at first. Of course, there were some unexpected issues with our house, it was built in 1922. However, Yron did everything he could to keep these issues within budget. He made sure we were happy at every turn. They even sent a trash cleanup crew on Saturday morning because they didn't want to leave the demo trash within view of the street over the weekend. I saw an add for landmark construction crew regarding energy upgrades to my home. And I gave it a shot. A young man by the name of Abraham arrived on time just like they promised. He greeted me with a company business card his badge and pointed to his van to assure he was from landmark construction crew. Automatically on first impression i realized this is a company i am willing to work with. My husband and I sat down with Abraham for about 45 min discussing upgrades to our home. We ended up agreeing to replace our old single pane Windows to the new double pane Windows with A special argon has that helps keep all unwanted heat outside. He showed us a sample window and we automatically loved it. We have a total of 14 Windows and 2 sliding glass doors in our home. Landmark construction crew was not the first contractor in our home we have had plenty on others company's come on but Abraham at landmark truly stood out above the rest. You can Tell he is very passionate in his work. We agreed to get the work done with landmark. We got approved for an amazing program they offered and before you know it we have all our Windows installed in one day. The crew arrived on time to our house the day of install. And completed it In a very professional matter. When they were done they did a full clean up around the whole home. We love our Windows and couldn't be happier. I am so happy and thankful that I chose Landmark to do the work on my home. They installed a Cool Roof, painted the exterior in Cool Wall/Tex-cote, installed new AC & heating, installed a tankless water heater, and replaced all plumbing with copper pipes. As a single mom it is difficult for me to negotiate with contractors, that is not a skill set I possess, but Ezra and Charles were very friendly and worked with me to ensure high quality work and added a few extras for me since they knew I did not have a husband (or significant other) that could do small construction work for me. I want to thank Landmark Construction for doing a great job on our room addition and home remodel! We pretty much did an entire home remodel with Landmark. It was the biggest project we've ever done and although it was stressful at first, as the project started to progress, we really felt better with Ezra managing the project. Ezra was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable and honest! In the end we got a beautiful new kitchen, new bathrooms, we did a full plumbing repipe, got a new roof, new windows, new doors, new flooring, and a finish paint job that doesn't overlook any detail at all. Really fantastic. They have this special technique to find the imperfections in the drywall and smooth them out before they paint which is really cool. I highly recommend Landmark construction energy crew. We live in a waterfront home and we have had several drafty & leaky windows, some of them single glass and the rest are double glass, (26 windows). And a lot of them were odd shapes, not just rectangles and squares. Five of the windows had to be new construction (not just replacement) to bring them up to work. We called Landmark construction energy crew and Ezra and Charlie came over to our house and gave us an estimate for the complete work. Both of them were very informative, honest and made us feel relaxed and confident about this work and about hiring them for that. Ezra assured us that this was a big job and that it will take close to 3 weeks to complete the replacement of them, but they could do it. And they did. Overall it took them about a month to order and manufacture all the windows. The installation crew, including Jason, Jose, and Roberto, did a beautiful job. It took five days, but the house was always left clean after the work day was done. The installation was beautifully done. What a pleasant experience. And we love our new windows. My experience with this company has not been positive. We had new windows installed, insulation added to our crawl space, and weather-proofing done as part of an energy efficiency upgrade. We have had subsequent issues with the work (particularly the sealants and insulation) and have had to pay to have other, more experienced contractors resolve these issues. Communication has also been challenging and I found their rates to be high for the quality of the work done. We have also discovered that our application for the Energy Upgrade California incentive was not filed correctly or on time. read more

Highly recommended !! Our house AC was running all the time, our electric bills were through the roof and yet we still were too hot at home. We called Landmark and they did a great job. First, they did a full energy audit of our home. They found that we had disconnected, torn air ducts and that there was a dead critter in one of them too. Nasty! That's why we had this bad smell emanating from our AC. They advised us on adding insulation and changing some windows too. They also did a health and safety inspection where they found that I had a gas leak in two places. They sealed those leaks for free. When they finished their work of changing the air ducts, adding insulation to our attic, changing windows, and performing a full home air seal, our house was much quieter. I noticed that the AC works less now and that our house stays comfortable. I am excited to see how much lower our next electric bill will be. SHADY, SKETCHY, and unresponsive. I don't give reviews lightly, but I called a few different phone numbers for Landmark and (2) of them were out of service and then the last one I called just rang and rang, so naturally I hung up the phone. I immediately received a call back from a different number (this is the number that called back 323.599.3109). A gentlemen said he just missed a call from this number, so I asked who this was because I had been calling a few different companies for quotes. He only responded with Landmark Construction. He wouldn't give me his name. He then told me he could provide a quote, but to please hang up and text him at this number (the number mentioned above) with all my info. He responded with a 1 word answer 1x then since I provided all my info (address etc) he has not responded and I have repeatedly asked for his name and confirmation etc. Needless to say I am not sure if this is an actual employee, or a scam, but either way I am very frustrated with Landmark Contruction, because if this is how they treat a "potential" customer...how do they treat their actual customers. read more

I don't usually write reviews but I had to show some love to Landmark. We've owned our home for a long time now; we've raised three children in it who are all now adults and living on their own. As our home got older, we noticed that it was no longer as efficient as it used to be, and the power bill had been slowly rising over the last few years especially. Landmark Construction Crew checked out my home for energy efficiency. They recommended that I replace the insulation my attic. The crew was thorough with the installation, but they covered the bathroom exhaust fan vents, and they never came back to complete a finishing touch despite my calls to remind them. They had indicated that I should see a significant savings on my electric bill as the A/C would run less often due to the new insulation. My average daily consumption of electricity in kilowatt-hours for September and October of this year was slightly higher than it was for the same period last year (even after accounting for the two extra days in this year's Sept-Oct period). I regret having spent my money on the upgrade. Maybe there will be some benefit during the winter months. read more

I was very excited to work with this contractor as they had great yelp reviews and excellent customer service until i actually needed something from them. The first in-house appointment went great and I was told that I would have a proposal within a couple days. 5 days go by and I call the sales rep. and he says he lost all the information off his computer and that I should have it by the following day. Okay accidents happen no big deal; wished he called me but i can overlook that. When I didn't receive the proposal two business days later I called the company directly and they nicely apologized and that they would call me back with an update. 4 days later and i haven't heard an update, so I call again and they tell me the sales rep. is no longer with the company and that someone will call me back in 30 minutes to schedule an appointment again to view the house. Well its been over a day and I have received no call back. If their sales force treats clients like this, how will they treat me once they have started with all the upgrades. read more

I want to thank all the crew and owners at Landmark for doing such an amazing job with my house. They worked extremely hard and as a result made my house so comfortable! They were able to replace all of my windows, install a brand new HVAC system and provide our home with new duct works. They also put high efficiency insulation in my home. We were so happy with the upgrades that we decided to get a new solar system installed by Landmark, which they did a fantastic job with. Again, the crew was so wonderful and professional, something that is rare to find in this business. Also, Ezra and Charles were extremely helpful and always made themselves available to us throughout the process.
