I went to this place when looking for Applebees at Main Place Mall. They have a good happy hour and the food was great! The service was good, but the ambiance was not exactly what I would normally go for. Mexican seafood and the music matched. But all around, a nice place to eat and have a few drinks. Felt like this place was a hidden gem because we were literally the only customers in the entire restaurant. Behind the bowling alley and across from Applebees is where Cali LICIOUS is located in Main Place Mall. The flavor from the sauce we had the mixo de todo blend medium heat and it was PERFECT! The inside of the restaurant has an ocean theme decor with tables and booths. Our server was amazing with her recommendations and explanations of the sauces. Great alternative to the boiling crab without the 2 hour wait! We came as a big group and were seated immediately. Good selection of seafood so we ordered the huge mixed bag (with Dungeness crab, potatoes eggs and sausage) seasoned with spicy mix de todo to split along with several kids meals, appetizers, and drinks. All the seafood was very fresh and the seasoning was legit spicy. We also got an additional side of extra spicy but couldn't tell the difference in heat, which was fine by us as the normal spicy makes you sweat. The apps were so-so, kind of what you'd find at the Applebees across from the restaurant. The kids meals were a decent size and they seemed to enjoy their food. The gripes, the booze is expensive here and not strong. For a place with brews in their name, all the beer come bottle only. The IPAs are $9 for each standard size bottle... the space dust seemed okay but the lagunitas was old and flat. We ordered the oyster shots and I'm pretty sure it didn't have any alcohol in it. Same with the michelada, seems they used half a bottle of beer. Also, they forgot to bring out our oysters and there were only 2 or 3 TINY pieces of "sausage" (more like a couple of thin slices of an Oscar Meyer hotdog) in our ultimate feast bag.(menu said 6) Overall, a great kid friendly place for seafood but not for alcohol. I came here with my husband and toddler after playing at Candeeland. We had a wonderful time here. The restaurant is very family friendly and the service was amazing!
