The easiest seafood boil I've eaten thus far! I visited this spot with some friends for lunch on a Sunday and our experience here was pretty good. To share, we had the following dishes: - Seafood Combo #2: For the combos, you get to choose the components. We got the crawfish, shrimp, mussels, and lobster tail. All the seafood was delicious. The shells were easy to break and the seafood was nicely cooked and juicy. We got it in the House Special All in One sauce at medium heat and it was perfect! Super garlicky and flavorful with a good punch of heat. - Garlic Bread: Crispy and buttery. Went great with the seafood boil. - Cajun Garlic Noodles: We got this with shrimp. This was also flavorful and garlicky. The prices were pretty good for a seafood boil! A bib, gloves, cleaning wipes, and a roll of paper towels were provided which was nice. They also gave us a small ice cream with a flavor to choose (chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla) at the end. This was a nice addition since it cooled down the spiciness we had with the food. The interior was nicely decorated and fun. The service here was great and our server was super nice and attentive. Overall, a good spot for seafood boil in the area!
Seafood boils always feel like such a treat, but finding one that actually feels worth the price can be hard... and this happy hour deal honestly surprised me. We ordered the Captain's Catch happy hour special along with Cajun fries, extra green mussels, corn, potatoes, and a Dr. Pepper. The Captain's Catch comes with a snow crab cluster, shrimp, black mussels, clams, and your choice of rice or noodles. At only $33, it felt like a really solid value for the amount of seafood we got, especially since everything came out hot, flavorful, and satisfying. One of my favorite additions ended up being the extra green mussels. They were super meaty and packed with flavor. Definitely squeeze lemon over everything because it made all the buttery, seasoned seafood taste even better. We also added corn and potatoes (only $4.50 extra), and personally... team potatoes over corn. The Cajun fries were also a great side to split. A random thing I appreciated was actually the gloves Usually seafood boil gloves end up oily after a while, but these held up surprisingly well and none of the sauce seeped through. Service was attentive, the restaurant was clean, and overall we felt really taken care of. This ended up being such a solid happy hour deal and I'd definitely come back again.
I loved coming to kick n boil. Seafood boils are such a fun way to eat and it definitely reminds me of summer. It was nice and spacious on a Friday afternoon. I was even able to catch their happy hour! They have happy hour Monday-Thursday from 3-10pm and on Fridays, it's from 12-6pm so it's pretty flexible. On the happy hour menu, they have "Captains Catch" which consists of 1 cluster of either snow or Dungeness crab, 1/2 pound head-on shrimp, 1/2 pound black mussels and 1/2 pound clams. They also have a "shrimp lovers" which is 2 pounds of the head-on shrimp. You can make either of the happy hour specials into a combo for $4.50 which adds corn, potato, sausage and either ramen or rice so it's plenty of food! I got the captains catch with the combo since I wanted to try a little of everything. I also ordered the Cajun fries to share with friends. They each ordered their own "make your own" which is a standard ordering system for seafood boil locations. You also pick which sauce flavor and spiciness level. I chose the house special all in one which is their house special sauce with lemon pepper and garlic butter and I went with medium. It was plenty of food for all of us and I thought the heat level was perfect. The flavor and spice didn't overpower the seafood and the egg, potato, corn and ramen was able to sop up all the juicy goodness. I especially loved the snow crab and was impressed with how much crab meat I got out of one cluster. The decoration in the store is also very cute and nautical themed. I loved some of the puns/sayings they had. Service was great - servers came to check up on us. Food was good and there was plenty of free parking in the plaza. I'd be happy to come back again with friends for another seafood boil!
If you're looking for a new seafood boil spot with delicious flavor and fun interior, this is the spot for you! They have great deals for happy hour and I got The Captain's Catch which comes with 1 Cluster Snow/ Dungeness Crab, 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb mussels and 1/2 lb clams, all for only $33!! I added crawfish to the Captain's Catch and chose the House Special All in One and it was sooo juicy and I love how garlicky everything was. The seafood was all fresh and perfectly saucy. Love how they give free ice cream at the end too! The service was really good and even though there was only one person working, she did a great job checking up on us and refilling our drinks.
So much space, great customer service, the decor/art on the walls through out was awesome! But the food was to die for. I'm a snob so I like my shrimp peeled but my sister mom and father got theirs the more "traditionally way for the full experience and they absolutely loved it as well. Pricing is reasonable overall great location and enjoyable dinner experience.

We had such a great experience at Kickin' Boil Crab in Santa Ana! We tried the Captain's Catch Happy Hour Special, and it was a fantastic deal. The snow crab legs were a really substantial size and there was more than enough food for two people. The shrimp were also a great size and very satisfying. I highly recommend the raw oysters as well, they were super fresh! Overall, the quality of the seafood for the price was excellent. It's definitely the kind of place where you feel like you're getting a lot for what you pay, and I already want to come back and try more of the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we genuinely felt cared for during our visit. The strawberry lemonade was also delicious and went really well with the meal. I also loved the fun wall art and casual atmosphere. It's a great spot to hang out with friends. Our group has been friends since high school, and we were able to sit, chat, and catch up comfortably without feeling rushed. Definitely looking forward to coming back and exploring the rest of the menu!

We ordered many appetizers including the cajun fries, sweet potatoes fries, onions rings and calamari - all pretty good! They have happy hour specials during the week, so we weren't able to take advantage of those deals. We shared the peeled shrimp with the all -in-one sauce and chose the medium heat level! It comes with their signature cajun sauce, lemon pepper, and garlic butter. We also added corn, sausage, and potatoes in our bag. It was delicious! We also ordered some garlic bread and fried tilapia, which came with seasoned fries. At the end of our meal, we were given complimentary ice cream! We chose the matcha and chocolate chip flavors. We ordered the 2 lbs Shrimp Lovers combo (head on shrimps) and loved that you can choose your sauce (house special, garlic, lemon, or "the house with everything") and spice level. I recommend upgrading to the combo for $5 more. It comes with corn, potatoes, sausage, plus your choice of ramen, noodles, or rice. It's a full meal enough for 2 people. The Crispy Shell Blue Crab was a standout. It's perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, served with seasoned Cajun fries. Lemon pepper wings: solid lemon pepper seasoning that wasn't overpowering. crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Nice little bonus: they offer a complimentary scoop of ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, chocolate chip, or matcha) Service was friendly and attentive, with staff checking in regularly without being intrusive. This is a cute place for seafood. I would recommend getting there early on weekends to beat the rush. Place is clean and the seafood themed murals on the walls are adorable! We got an order of calamari to start and combo 1 for 58.99 which is good for two. Calamari- Crisp breading with a chewy and juicy interior. Served piping hot. A tasty starter! Combo 1- You get to pick three seafood items and it comes with potatoes, sausage, and corn. We picked shrimp, crawfish, and mussels. They accidentally gave us clams by mistake and when we informed the server, they were very nice and apologized and gave us the mussels for free. The sauce can be customized for heat level and is very flavorful. You get a lot of garlic and seasoning with a hint of lemon at the end. The seafood is nice and fresh. Best part is, they give you ice cream at the end as a dessert and palate cleanser. Great experience overall!
Parking was easy in the large lot right outside and service was incredibly helpful in providing recommendations, keeping water filled, efficiency, and friendly. There was plenty of seating, seafood decor on the walls, and TV screens playing sports for a chill environment. They gave us tools for cracking shells, wet wipes, paper towels, condiments, gloves, and bibs. Captain's Catch: $33 for 2.5 lbs of seafood was an amazing deal and they provided the choice of snow crab or dungeness crab. The $4.50 addition of sides included corn, sausage, potatoes and the unique choice of ramen or rice. Crispy Shell Blue Crab: For $19.99, we got a good portion with a great crunch outside and soft inside, well-seasoned fries, and yummy garlicky house special sauce. Ice cream: To cap it all off, they offer a complimentary scoop of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or chocolate chip ice cream which was the best way to end the meal!

The food here at Kick & Boil, formerly known as Mlem Mlem, is delicious! We stopped by here on two occasions in the past month; once for dining in, and another for take-out. When dining in, we ordered a Create-Your-Own and a Mahi Mahi Basket for our mains, with a side of Garlic Noodles. When ordering take-out, we ordered a Create-Your-Own again, as well as Garlic Noodles, only this time we got the Tilapia Basket. The quality of each order was the same; eating at the restaurant or ordering to eat at home, there was no difference in portion size or flavor. When eating at the restaurant, our server was friendly and prompt. The food came out relatively fast, and the dining experience was nice; not too loud despite it being busy. The inside also has a nice "seafood boil" ambiance, as the walls are painted in a nicely decorated manner. My one piece of advice would be, as someone who eats spicy foods fairly often, is that if you order "hot", which is the next step up from "medium", understand that it is genuinely hot and spicy. read more

I got their chicken wings they were very crunchy and tasty, garlic noodles was delicious the extra meat was not needed, I think it's good on its own :) but it came with sausage and shrimp I got their half pound shrimp, crawfish, mussels , medium spicy and the waiter recommended their House Special -All In One sauce , something new to try if you're in the area! The place is decorated with seafood like you're under the sea which is the same like other seafood boil places but their unique cause the flavors they create is different :) overall delcious! read more

Kick & Boil Crab is a great spot in Santa Ana for a tasty seafood boil! The space is big, clean, fun, casual, and equipped with everything you need to enjoy your boil. Our service was super quick and efficient. We created our own boil with shrimp, snow crab legs, boiled eggs, and corn in their house special cajun sauce. The boil was delicious and I especially loved the flavor of the garlicky cajun sauce! It was the perfect portion for two people. I really appreciate that the server also treated us to a little bit of ice cream at the end of our meal which was also tasty. Saw this place on TikTok and needed to try! The happy hour special is lowk such a steal. We got that with an additional pound of crawfish and Cajun fries. The Cajun fries are some of the best I've ever had. Seriously so addicting. As for the seafood the crawfish were surprising huge despite being frozen! The server Adi was an old friend from way back when and I was so surprised to see her! She was very attentive and checked in on us a lot. The food was really good. I love the flavor of the house special all in one sauce. The shrimp were meaty and cooked perfectly. The potato and corn were also tasty. The corn was sweet so the sauce and garlic made it even better. I really liked the lemon pepper wings as well. It wasn't too salty which often happens with lemon pepper wings from other places. We stopped in for dinner the other night. There is plenty of parking available. The restaurant is small but they have fun artwork on the walls. We came in for their new crispy blue crab special. A generous portion of flavorful crispy blue crab and a nice side of fries. We also got one of their Happy Hour specials. The shrimp lovers special came with 2 pounds of head-on shrimp. We got the House Special All In One sauce in a mild spice level. We also added the potatoes, corn and sausage. You also get a choice between rice or ramen noodles. Get the ramen noodles. The ramen noodles absorbs all of that House Special All In One sauce. We also got a fountain drink for each of us. Two solid offerings at a great price. Service was warm and friendly. That house special sauce just hits! So much garlic and loaded with flavor. The shrimp were fresh and jumbo. I recommend getting some rice to scoop it on or bringing home the leftover sauce because it's so good. This place has easy parking, chill vibes, great food and service! Plenty of parking, though with the gym a few doors down, it can get very busy. When you walk in, you feel is very spacious and they have lots of fun artwork! They do have lots of TVs as well, some were playing those ASMR eating videos, only thing that's weird to me, but I can easily ignore it. Service was super friendly and they were very attentive to everyone in the restaurant. We got a Strawberry Lemonade and a Watermelon Lemonade to drink, those were light and a perfect pairing with the seafood boil itself. Started off with Lemon Pepper Wings, those were super crispy, super juicy, and all around amazing to start off with. We went with the Captain's Catch with Dungeness Crab and House All In One Sauce. The sauce was perfectly garlicky, and the crab had a great amount of meat. The shrimps were perfect, and I loved the clams and the mussels. Overall an amazing seafood boil! We opted to pay +$4.50 to add 2 potatoes, 2 corn, 2 sausage, and a choice of rice or ramen. I was honestly let down by the sauce and the crab, which was the main reason I chose to come here. We chose the mild house all in one sauce, and most of its flavor was just salty. My boyfriend didn't seem to notice so maybe it wasn't to my taste, but the saltiness was just so off-putting and unenjoyable, and I didn't really taste anything at all besides it. The crab was also extremely salty for some reason? The cluster they gave us was pretty big so I was pleasantly surprised, but the flavor was so salty and the meat was also a bit dry. I was also bothered by the fact that 99% of the mussel shells were all basically empty, and the meat was scattered around and had to be fished for among the garlic and sauce. How are we supposed to know we didn't just get empty shells? It's the first time I've had this issue with mussels at seafood boil, and the mussels here were also really small compared to ones I've had before. Lastly, it was a bit stingy to me how their normal combos all came with something like 4 corn, potatoes, sausage, and a choice of rice/ramen, but when we paid to make ours a combo it came with half that amount. Overall, even if $33 seems like a great happy hour deal, the flavor was just not there. With 2 people eating, we were both somewhat full which was great, and the happy hour does last a long time. Besides that, the service was great. Our server was nice and checked on us often, and she explained the menu when we had any questions. The inside of the restaurant is pretty clean and it wasn't too busy around 4-5pm. TLDR; Good happy hour deal but sauce was too salty and portioning was questionable. Had an awesome experience at Kick & Boil, I've always passed by and wanted to try! We were so lucky to get there at happy hour, we ordered the Captain's Catch which had: 1 Cluster Snow Crab 1/2Lb. Head-on Shrimps 1/2Lb. Black Mussels 1/2Lb. Clams The sauce makes or break seafood boil and honestly loved their options! We tried two and ended up going with the house special sauce. Wow.. they went above and beyond. The server was sweet and they did such an amazing job. There were no empty promises, they were so amazing. I went there and they were closed so they asked me to come back and they'd make it up to me and they truly did. Their food was also really tasty. Only thing is the sauce is very buttery, which was a lil much for me, but my husband loved it. I was obsessed with the amount of garlic!! The wings reminded us a bit of jollibee, so delicious. The lemonade was so refreshing and big! The coffee ice cream at the end was the cherry on top. The ambiance was nice it wasn't loud and we were able to talk peaceful. Fun decorations and paintings.
