The Blind Rabbit is one of the coolest speakeasies I've ever been too. I've had some of the most delicious drinks of my life here -- Each cocktail is hand-crafted with care and expertise. The food is also fantastic. If you love seafood, I highly recommend the scallops The bar is EXTREMELY small, with less than like ten tables plus a few more seats at the bar. Went there with my daughter on a Thursday night, and overall it was just okay. The ambiance is definitely unique and has a cool speakeasy vibe, but the space is extremely small and surprisingly loud -- even without music playing. Because it's so cramped, every conversation echoes throughout the room, which made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience. The drinks were expensive and very small, and honestly didn't feel worth the price. The food was the same way. We ordered the scallops and the cheeseburger -- $36 for three scallops with rice and $26 for a mediocre burger and fries felt really overpriced for the quality and portion sizes. Found this place while searching for local cocktail bars close to the Anaheim Convention Center. It's located on the lower level of the Anaheim Packing District, which is made up of multiple businesses spread across a few different buildings. The Blind Rabbit is in building B (I think... 2 story building right off the main road). A reservation is highly recommended, as this spot can only hold about 30 people. As I went alone, my reservation was for a bar seat, which was cool as I was able to watch the bartenders make lots of very cool shaken and stirred drinks. This place serves absinthe drinks plus absinthe served the traditional way (cold water on sugar cube into the alcohol). I did not try that, but was tempted. My pineapple old fashioned (Retired Old Man was what Sergio (bartender) told me) was very tasty. The Tamerand Marg with mezcal that I tried next was just okay (should have stuck with the whiskey!). The ambience is great, but it is quite dark inside. Use the light under the bar top to read the menu. There is food available. I tried the crabcake and thoroughly enjoyed it! If you go looking for the entrance, look for the "boxes" stacked against the wall and the black bunny handle (next to a hostess station that may/may not be staffed). We have been to the Blind Rabbit many times. They just released their new spring menu, so it was time to return again. We usually eat before visiting, but many of the new food items looked very good, so we had dinner also. They are usually very busy, so be sure to book a reservation on their website. We started out with the empanadas (Shrimp, Mozzarella, Parsley, Chili Flakes, Chef's Bomb Salsa, $18) to get something in our stomachs early. There are two good sized empanadas, perfect for sharing, stuffed full with cheese and plenty of shrimp, with a crisp crust. The salsa definitely has a kick and brings some heat. They were excellent and filling. My first cocktail was the "La Peligrosa" - Vodka Banger (White Hjerte Vodka, Capaletti, Green Chartreuse, Papaya, Pineapple, Lemon, $19). It was balanced and not boozy, with light fruit and a hint of chartreuse which I love. Her first cocktail was the "Oaxacan Trading Co." - Mango Jet Pilot (Oaxaxa Rum, Trinidadian Rum, Lime, Grapefruit, Cinnamon, Mango, Meletti Float, $19). The rums are at the perfect level, and there is some funk. It is nice and juicy, and the grapefruit, mango, and cinnamon are all there. This was our favorite drink of the night. I was going to have steak for dinner, so I ordered the "Viejito En Vacaciones" - Pineapple Old-Fashioned (Sagamore Rye, Pineapple, Toasted Almond, Tiki Bitters, $18). It was smooth and had some light spices. Her second was the "Hole Mole" - Agave Sour (Magenta Blanco, Divin Espadin, Mole, Chile, Lime, Chocolate Bitters, $20). I have never had mole so I wasn't sure what to expect. It was balanced and had some good complexity. It had a light heat and some chocolate notes, very enjoyable. For my entrée, I had the Prime Filet Mignon (Blueberry Red Wine Reduction, Potato Pave, Mushroom Cream, Egg Truffle, $58). Wow, what a presentation! This dish looks like something you'd pay a fortune for at a fancy French restaurant. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare plus, just as ordered. The filet has to be at least six ounces, if not more, and is cut in half and served in two pieces. The mushroom cream was good (there's some mushrooms on the plate also), but I really loved the blueberry red wine reduction. I've never had a poached egg with a filet for dinner before, but it totally worked, and the truffle oil added another layer of flavor. The potato pave (squares) were so good, nice thin slices of potato pressed together with a crispy exterior. This was an excellent entrée. She just wanted a few more appetizers for her main, so we ordered the Papas Bravas (Baby Dutch Creamers, Chorizo Seco, Brava Sauce, Aioli, Parsley Oil, $18). The plate was barely warm when it arrived, so we asked our server if she could heat it up, which she was happy to do. Once heated properly, it was way better and the potatoes and chorizo were both good. The sauce had a little heat to it. We also ordered the hummus (Garbanzo, Pickled Vegetables, Paprika, Toasted Pepitas, $20). This was another visually impressive and exotic looking dish. It's served with warm toasted pitas, and the hummus is flavorful. The pickled vegetables were a nice addition, and I particularly enjoyed the onions and jalapenos. For my last cocktail, I had the Nina Fresa - Strawberries & Cream Milk Punch (Mijenta Blanco, Strawberry, Lime, Milk Punch, $20). It wasn't mentioned in the description, so I was pleasantly surprised when it was served with a nice, thick foam on top. I was even more surprised to find that the foam had a great coconut flavor to it. It paired well with the strawberry flavor of the milk punch, and the lime was quite noticeable. It had a mellow sweetness, and was a good finisher after the more classic cocktails earlier. She finished with the Te Quiero - Tamarind Margarita (Divino Mezcal, Xila, Fernet Vallet, Tamarind, Honey, $19). This had a great flavor profile with a light smokiness. The host Anna was very friendly and seated us immediately. Our server was Georgina who we've had several times. She is always very friendly and provides great service, and this visit was no exception. She mentioned that the kitchen was a running a bit slow that night, and kindly offered us shots of our choice on the house. We asked her to surprise us, and she brought out what I believe were daiquiri shots which were delicious. Our bartenders were Adrian and Ruben, and they made great drinks. I absolutely love this simple little secluded speakeasy within the Anaheim Packing House. The Blind Rabbit was our first speakeasy and for that it will forever hold a nostalgia in my heart but it also serves up some great cocktails, some tasty food and the service has always been tremendous. The Blind Rabbit is very small inside so reservations are always recommended and they typically adhere to a fairly strict dress code (this is currently not being enforced for the time being) and you get a 90 minute limit once inside. We have been here a half dozen times and it never disappoints. The cocktails and food options do change and keeps things fresh as well which is nice although I do wish my Islands in the Heavens drink was still on the menu. There were 2 bartenders and a server for the tables. We sat at the bar. One of bartenders seemed to be newer but everyone was very nice. The drinks we ordered were yummy. We also ordered the crab cake, shrimp ceviche, and empanadas. We enjoyed everything we ordered. Unlike other places, there didn't seem to be a time limit or since it was a Tuesday evening, they weren't too busy. Again, the ambience and music were great. Such a cool location! Emma (I believe that was her name) was efficient checking us in and leading is to our table. The waitress was also great and there was already water waiting for us. Since the water was sitting out, it wasn't as cold as I would have liked. But that didn't bother me too much since I ordered a Niña Fresa drink! I'd also had the Crab Cake, Creme Brûlée and the Banana Bread Pudding. I enjoyed each item, and my party really enjoyed the bread pudding specifically! Parking can get hard since the lot is small. The bar is located inside the Packing District. It's best to make reservations 'cause the bar can get packed, and then you'd have to wait awhile. I had really loved the food menu on my previous visit, but I didn't realize the menu rotates. This time I ordered the duck confit truffle mac and cheese along with a tequila sour. I've gotten mixed reviews for this place and I just wanted to check it out for this place. My honest review is, that it's actually pretty great!! The check in area is on the first floor next to the swings (if you know the double swings at the sitting area) and the host tells you if you can sit right away or if it's reservations only. I went on a weekday night without reservations and the speakeasy bar had some walk-in tables available. The inside isn't too big, usually small table or bar style. We tried a burger and some really good cocktails. Definitely recommend this place. This place is quite dark though, and I couldn't really see much of the colors that looked really pretty. I've always wanted to try The Blind Rabbit. Last month, I heard through the grapevine that they were doing a Harry Potter theme, which finally pushed me to book a reservation. Our reservation was at 9:15 pm on a Saturday night, so we had dinner beforehand in the Anaheim Packing House. At 9:15, we walked over to the hostess stand to check in, but we were told that the kitchen was running behind. We would have to wait for a text to call us back. Around 20 minutes after our reservation time, we were finally allowed inside.  The inside of the speakeasy was stunning. Above, the ceiling was charged with the lightning of mystical storm clouds. And underneath, the soft, warm glow of the bar made me feel like I was standing outside an English pub on a rainy night. It was as if I was standing in Hogsmeade itself on a particularly magical night. Our server Georgina quickly made amends for our delayed seating time by delivering a tray of Cosmopolitan shots on the house. All was forgiven. The Cosmo shots, although strong, were refreshing and delicious - and for $0, they were great value.  My favorite drink of the night was the Lovegood Sour. I'm a sucker for tropical fruity flavors, and combining the pineapple with heavy spiced flavors such as the rye and cinnamon worked well and just made sense. But found these gems as I was cleaning up the photos from my phone, and given that the final season of Stranger Things is now streaming, I was hoping it would still be fun and relevant. I've come here several times over the years but I once came here with a friend during Halloween. The entire bar was decorated to resemble the Upside Down, complete with a Demogorgon coming through the wall. It was such a fun and creepy vibe that really set the mood. This was such a fun experience. The theme was the Grinch and it was perfect for December! Our bartender Adrian was super cool and helpful in deciding what to order. I asked for something not high in sugar and he recommended a guava drink that was AMAZING- wish I remembered the name of the drink! And the presentation was soooo cute! Drink was served in a cute little wooden box filled with ice and some baby's breath for decoration! The taste was 10/10! Adrian recommended their fried olives which were shockingly delicious. And I am not a fan of olives but you couldn't tell these were olives you were eating! 9/10 The artichoke and cheese dip with warm pita bread was amazing as well. I highly recommend the Blind Rabbit it was one of the coolest places I've been. It's slightly difficult to find but that's the fun! The atmosphere feels like peaky blinders and super cute with a piano playing and the drinks are really good and creative. I'd go here for any celebration. This was a pretty darn good spot! Really cool how you have to find the the location (speakeasy style). Sometimes there is a hostess outside the door, so it's easier to find. Food and service was just superb! I enjoyed the ambiance and theme of the place. It's so perfect for a date night. It's a small little nook, so large parties are probably not ideal, but I could be wrong. I hope to sit at the bar next time because the bartenders seemed so cool and chill to talk to. First, a general tip for those unfamiliar with Anaheim Packing District - take a rideshare or carpool if you can, otherwise be ready to commit to circling around the block many times trying to find parking, valet or otherwise. The Blind Rabbit is a hidden in plain sight speakeasy on the ground floor in front of the Roilling Boil, easy to miss if no one is standing at the host stand. Look for the colorful sake barrels which mask the cleverly camouflaged door. Ambience inside is everything you would want from a Prohibition style bar, dimly lit with mood music playing. Their featured cocktails all sounded promising, and I opted for The Long Night, their take on an Old Fashioned. Unfortunately was disappointed with the end product - although there was some novelty of being served in a hot chocolate mug with a gingerbread cookie on top, the bourbon pour was so sparse my friends asked if they forgot to make my drink. My duck confit macaroni and cheese was so-so. Sounded like a cool concept, but the milder cheese flavor only served to enhance the gamey taste from the duck. On the other hand, my fellow dining partners both ordered the Blind Rabbit Burger, and did seem to enjoy it. Just a final parting note, there is a 90 minute limit to the dining experience. First time going to the blind rabbit after hearing about it for so long. We got reservations for my birthday, which was a nice surprise! We got a couple plates to share, including the steak frites and crab cakes. Super delicious! We each had a drink or two, which is obviously where they excelled. The drinks we good but STRONG. We enjoyed the old timey vibe of the bar and the intimate setting. It was dimly light and had a good view of the bar so you could watch them make your drinks. They once had the most amazing dish that their own bartender sold me on which was scallops and risotto. Ever since that bartender brought me onto this, I have now been there multiple times showing multiple people just how amazing that specific dish is. However, I went a couple days ago and it's now gone. :( Why would you get rid of one of your number one dishes? Especially after your staff sold me on this?! We've been frequent customers of The Blind Rabbit for years and have always chosen it for special occasions -- which is why last night was so disappointing and upsetting. From a service standpoint, the experience was off from the start. My wife's drink was made incorrectly, and the replacement (supposedly the same drink) tasted noticeably different, as if prepared by a different bartender. I ordered a cocktail that was frankly undrinkable due to poor balance. The server was kind and replaced it with something from the online menu, but that drink wasn't even available on the physical menu we were given. My wife had looked up the menu ahead of time and was excited about it, so the inconsistency and quality issues were not what we've ever experienced here before. Unfortunately, the biggest issue had nothing to do with drinks. I am a full-time wheelchair user, and the ground-floor men's restroom is extremely difficult -- and frankly unsafe -- to access. The raised door threshold caused my wheelchair to get stuck while exiting the restroom. It took four able-bodied people to help me get out. During that process, the threshold bent my wheelchair wheel, making it unsafe and unusable. Because I rely on my wheelchair every day, I was forced to immediately purchase an emergency replacement at significant cost. I'm also scheduled for major surgery on March 3, so mobility isn't optional for me -- it's critical. The entire situation was painful, stressful, and deeply embarrassing. Based on my experience, the restroom access does not appear ADA-compliant, and the Anaheim Packing House overall is not wheelchair-friendly. This is something management should take very seriously, because no one should be injured or financially impacted just for trying to use the restroom. We expected a special night before surgery. Instead, we left disappointed, hurt, and with an unexpected expense. I sincerely hope this is addressed so no one else has to go through what I did read more

Drinks are themed after the Grinch Movie. You'll be crying when you see hair on your chest because those drinks are strong!! First, find the hostess bar and check in. We didn't have a reservation and they accommodated us. Bartender was a genius, knowledgeable and a master at his craft. The bar is beautiful. It's a very small place, dark, romantic, mysterious, yet... casual and comfortable. We had the artichoke dip that was delicious. We also ordered an Empress 75 aka French 75 but with Empress Gin- I don't know how they did it but it was light and refreshing and deceiving. "It Was Never a Phase Mom" Started off with a couple of the Bleeds No More shooters & they were a great way to start our night! Then we ordered our main cocktails from their themed menu, "Misery business" and "Follow You into the Dark". For food we started with one of our favorites, the ceviche! A great & refreshing starter. After much anticipation to visit The Blind Rabbit, our group left highly disappointed, primarily due to the bartender's demeanor and lack of attentiveness. From the moment we arrived, the service felt unwelcoming, and the negative attitude noticeably impacted the overall experience. We understood and respected the speakeasy's rules, including the no-flash-photography policy. However, another group of influencers was openly taking flash photos throughout the venue. When we politely mentioned that they might be violating the rules, they told us the hostess had actually encouraged them to do so. The inconsistency felt frustrating and unfair. The space itself is small, intimate, and beautifully designed, creating the kind of cozy atmosphere you would expect from a speakeasy. The food was flavorful, creative, and one of the highlights of the evening. The cocktails, however, fell short. While inventive, many drinks seemed overly complicated, masking the true character of key spirits like mezcal and bourbon instead of enhancing them. The espresso martini was the exception and was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, despite the ambiance and quality food, we will not be returning. The overall experience was overshadowed by the unwelcoming service from the bartender and the feeling that our group -- particularly as an older group -- was treated as more of an inconvenience than valued guests. read more

Been to going to El Conejo Ciego for years. If I'm not indulging an Old Man & The Sea then I'm partaking of some variety of absinthe cocktail or absinthe on its own. The good menu is limited and delicious. Try the duck confit mac & cheese. Thank me later. The mixologists are cool, the piano player even cooler. The bar is so cute inside. It's perfect for a date. It's a tiny, dark, cozy speakeasy bar hidden inside a decorated wall. The drinks are very good. Our hostess is also our server and she's great. No complain I can think of. read more

What a cute speakeasy hidden inside Anaheim Packing District. It is on the lower level. I loved the ambiance. Reservations recommended, it has very limited seating. You are only allowed 90 minutes and yes they do watch the time. They will let you know when you only have 30 minutes left. I ordered scallop risotto and shrimp ceviche. You HAVE to try the scallop risotto, it was so so so delicious!! The best risotto I've ever had. The cocktails were also very fun! read more
