Top tier experience I will definitely go back to Jeni and highly recommended her to others. I found her through Yelp & with so many good reviews I had to book her. First time getting a tan i texted her to inquire and she responded quickly. She has her professional responses & then her personalized responses. Required deposit through Venmo & then paid the day of service, pretty easy& simple. Jeni is everything i expect of customer service. She made everything prior to the appointment as knowledgeable as possible. Follow up texts & emails. She worked with me on rescheduling as I had an important date & she wanted my tan as fresh as can be. Her tanning setup is very private & she made me feel comfortable. She made sure what tone i wanted & talked me through the whole experience. I wish I had more pictures but ill upload one i have. I was recommended by a friend to try out Cali Mist Spray tan. Jeni was great and made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. She gave me detailed instructions prior to my session which was super helpful. I got a dark spray tan and washed off a few hours later. Jeni sent me a text message reminder on when to wipe my face prior to washing my body as well as another text message to remind me when to shower. She even did a check back a day after my tan to make sure I was happy. Anytime I messaged her with any questions she was super helpful and prompt. I had the pleasure of booking two appointments with Jeni. Once was for my bridal shower. And the next time was for my actual wedding. The last time I had a spray tan done was 13 years ago for my sister's wedding. Luckily I had done a trial a few weeks before. But I ended up coming out completely orange. So I was traumatized by that and I never got a spray tanned ever again. My sister referred me to her and told me that she gets uses her all the time. She had told me that it has come a long way since the last time I got it done. I trusted her and booked my appointment. She was very friendly and got back to me promptly. She gave me very detailed prep instructions, for my appointment. After my appointment, she gave me follow-up care instructions and checked in with me to remind me when I should wipe off the bronzer from my face and went to shower it off. The tan came out beautiful and I was so happy with it. It restored my face with spray tanning lol. I will definitely be coming back to her in the future. Thank you, Jeni! read more

Jeni is THE BEST! I've been to her 3 times now, and each time it jusy feels like I'm seeing a friend! She is so welcoming and professional throughout the whole reservation. She even sends specific confirmation texts before your appointment so you know exactly what to do, and what not to do. After you get sprayed, she tells you when to shower which is great, but then also sends texts reminders too!!!! She texts when to wipe face, when to shower, how does it look, texts back right away with options, gets you all squared away for the night, and then even the next day sends a final check in to ask how everything is looking. I had never recieved a spray tan before and I was a bit nervous that I would turn out orange. Flashback to Bride Wars Anne Hathaway. When I messaged Jeni that I was looking to even out my permanent farmers tan, she suggested I do a trial run before my wedding day. Jeni answered all of my questions before my appointment and she was so thoughtful after the appointment. She made sure to text me an hour after my appointment to remind me to wipe my face, and two hours later to remind me to hop in the shower. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She takes so much pride in her work with a close attention to detail. My wedding photos turned out beautiful thanks to Jeni. No farmers tan in sight. Absolutely love Jeni! Have gone to her twice, once for my bridal shower and the other for my wedding. She really sets you up for success so that you're tan can last long. The second time I went I forgot to take off my deodorant but she made sure that my mistake didn't ruin my tan. Also her recommendation for a tanning lotion helped my tan last a long time. I love a good vibe... and let me tell you, Jeni is a great vibe! It's important that you get that from someone you'll be naked in front of... am I right?! lol anyway! I found Jeni on Yelp after searching for a spray tan tech. I had originally booked with her for a date back in April but things changed and I had to cancel. I clearly understood her policy and knew my deposit wouldn't be refunded, which I was fine with! Well fast forward to May when I reached out to her again to book. I expected to pay a new deposit, but she was super kind and allowed me to use my previous deposit. Loved this because it showed understanding and a willingness to make her clients happy. Getting to her private home was a quick and easy drive, parking was super easy, and the tanning area was private. She was quick and gave all the good tips. I followed her directions exactly as she said, and I woke up to a pretty tan. I'm really happy with the results and would definitely recommend her! First time getting a spray tan and had no idea what to expect. Jeni is very responsive and thorough with instructions. It's kind of awkward being in your birthday suit with your bum in a stranger's face but she makes you feel so comfortable. She sends you home with very specific care instructions and even texts you a reminder when you rinse. Super sweet and I couldn't be happier with my tan. It lasted through my week in Cabo and definitely made me feel confident. Fun fact, tan fat is better than white fat. Don't come at me, it's science. Will definitely see Jeni again! read more

I had a wedding to attend and found the perfect dress & shoes, but was missing a tan. I looked up mobile tanning places on yelp and found Cali Mist! The first thing that sparked my attention was all the great reviews!!! The next was the detail of pre and post tan care on their website! The last thing that I loved was they had to different tans specific for your skin tone. I have yet to see this. I immediately contacted the company. Jeni was able to work with my schedule and book an appt for me in such short notice. When she arrived she had all the items ready. I felt so comfortable with her tanning me ( even tho I was nakie) By the next day I woke up like a bronze goddess!!! No orange, brown or streaks. Love Cali Mist Spray Tan! I've used this tanning service probably a dozen times and every time I'm extremely happy with the results. Jen is so friendly and professional, she does such a great job at making you feel comfortable and confident and is always available if you have any questions or concerns. She provides excellent customer service. I love to use her spray tanning services prior to going on vacations or before a photo shoot. The spray tan always makes me feel bronzed and beautiful. I have very sensitive skin with a lot of allergies so I stay away from products that have harsh chemicals or fragrances. I've had no issues what so ever with the product she uses and it always comes out even, never splotchy and always looks very natural. Also, I like that it just simply lightens and fades in time and doesn't peel or get blotchy looking like other brands may tend to do. As far as lasting, with proper care tan can last from 1-2 weeks before gradually fading I've noticed. She sprays by hand so every tan is customized to that person and their needs. The product dries quickly, her spray tan technique is 100 times better then going to a spray tan machine at a tanning salon. Never does tan come out looking fake or orange. I recommend anyone who's looking for a natural looking tan and who wants to feel confident and beautiful. You'll be more then satisfied with her services and love the final outcome! read more

Hands down the best to get a spray tan!!! I went back in May for my first time as a trial for my wedding & loved it so much that I immediately booked an appointment a couple days before my wedding. I have never been more happy with a spray tan in my life. I have always spray tanned in one of those Machines and it always turns out horrible so I thought I would try something new. I was nervous knowing that I have to get naked in front of a complete stranger but She made me feel so comfortable. I have NEVER met her before but it was like we were friends. Need a tan and don't know a thing about spray tan? COME SEE JENI - she will hook it up. She is sweet, knowledgeable, and not afraid to get in all the areas to make sure you're even all around and out looking bomb. I've been to many automated booth and always come out orange-looking or uneven. For my bach, I needed to find someone to get it done right, and Jeni delivered. She listened to what I wanted, advised on type of shade that's best for my skin tone (whaaaat - I didn't even know there was different type of tanning shade depending on your skin tone), and gave me tips and tricks on keeping my tan on. From texting her to booking my first appointment to the day after my appointment - she was there for me through all my questions what I needed to do- she reminded me to shower and checked in to see how my tan was. I'm a first timer and was nervous about doing this tan for a weekend trip to Vegas...but Jen made me feel comfortable. She gave me tips for pre and post tan which I followed. The process took maybe 30 minutes and she knew what color/shade to apply as soon as she saw me. I felt it was a good match and although it did not last a full week (my legs and arms still look tan but stomach area started to crack and chest area too) BUT it did its job for the weekend in Vegas so I was happy. This review is overdue! I've been spray tanning for over 10 years so I have had my fair share of the Jersey Shore orange spray tans and the amazing bronze just got back from Cabo spray tan. The color is amazing and it does not have a stinky odor! The color faded nicely and I have NEVER had a spray tan where my elbows, feet, hands, or knees were perfect. Jeni was definitely thorough in making sure my tan was perfect and would dry with no imperfections. She was professional and listened to what I wanted. I finally have some time after my bachelorette to leave a review for Jeni. Considering that I never met this woman before and this was my first ever spray tan and didn't know what to expect, jeni made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I never had such an even tan and although I'm normally pretty dark everyone was so impressed on how good my skin looked. Jeni is also very thorough and sent me a text to remind me to wash off my tan and tips on how to best keep my tan. She is telling me that they can't do anything on their end and that I need to reach out to Square. Square is telling me that they can't do anything on their end and that the business needs to initiate the refund. So, I reached out to Ronald again directly, and he did not respond. In addition, he got my Google review deleted and is trying to get this one deleted as well, but thankfully Yelp is a lot better about keeping honest reviews. I also forgot to note that the service was booked for two hours total, as a side by side massage. Elena tried to SCAM my sister and her partner by offering each a 1 hour service, one at a time (because of being understaffed), even though it is a two hour service. I paid $400 for the massages, so she's was trying to tell my sister that each service (which included a full massage and facial) of $200 was for one hour only, which is a lie. ORIGINAL POST: AVOID California Skin Care & Day Spa in Newark I prepaid for a service (it was a gift), received a confirmation reminder the day before, and made arrangements for my sister and her partner who are visiting from out of town. I even paid for an Uber to get them there. They arrived on time and the place was closed. No staff, no setup, nothing. They waited about 40 minutes, while I tried calling and messaging every available number. Eventually Ronald Aleteanu, one of the owners, responded on WhatsApp , but that did not change the situation and the service still was not provided. Between the Uber and waiting, this ended up wasting about 2 hours of their time (& money for the Uber), and they left with nothing. After all of that, Elena Aleteanu (who eventually came) claimed she had called and left a message (and at one point claimed that she talked to someone - a complete lie). I never received any call or voicemail, and I confirmed that the number I entered was correct. Their explanation just does not add up, especially since they had no problem sending a reminder the day before. What is most frustrating is that they still refused to issue a refund for a service they never provided. Instead, they only offered store credit, which is completely unreasonable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. I also posted this on NextDoor and numerous people replied noting that the same thing happened to them. So this is not an isolated incident. I've posted those screenshots here.

Today I had my third Tan done by Jeni and she is absolutely amazing. She's very professional friendly and puts me at ease because I am shy when it comes to undressing in front of anyone .I'm overweight but she makes me feel at ease .I'll post pictures later. My Tan is processing now. In the meantime I have some pictures from the past. I'm light skinned and always burn before any tan can start ! My legs are very white and my upper body tends to get a little darker. I love when she gives me a tan and I have an even color all over .She gives precise detailed instructions on how to prep ,what to do on your way there and what to do during the aftercare. My previous tans lasted approximately two weeks. I highly recommend her. I was in a wedding this past weekend (Saturday) and I realized my tan lines were pretty bad the day before I was heading to the wedding. I called Jeni and she took such great care of me. She has excellent customer service, follow up, and I would definitely recommend her if you want to get a spray tan. My tan looks (and looked) really natural. Jeni's so sweet! I got my first spray tan done by her at her apartment, and she made me feel very comfortable. At first the tan came out reeeeeally dark, and I was a bit scared, but once I took a shower later it developed into a nice glow on my skin. Angela and Nova were very knowledgeable and helped figure out the best treatment for my skin concerns Nova was my esthetician and it was the best! She has strong but delicate hands. The extractions she did was the most gentlest I've ever had. My skin was initially irritated and inflamed, but when I walked out , the redness and irritation were almost gone. I'd recommend this place and am planning on coming back for my next facial!
