I know when it comes to our pets, kids, and food, we always go to reviews. I'm leaving this review for others to know what our experience has been in hopes if you chose this business for your pets you do not have the same experience as we did. We chose this place due to good reviews, we chose this place for our 8 month old miniature schnauzer. Our first time experience was amazing. They cleaned and cut his hair perfectly. The staff was extremely nice and welcoming. We scheduled our second visit being told our next visit would be discounted. Our next visit came around, we walked in, weren't greeted, I just figured everyone was busy, no big deal, then when our pups scheduled groomer walked up ready to take our pup back she started pulling the leash (dragging our pup) and eventually picked him, still not thinking much of it due to our first experience being great, I got a phone call that our pup was almost done, not much of a greeting or anything during the call, very blunt, still trying not to think much of it. When I arrived I stood at the front for about 6 minutes before anyone greeted me or checked in with me. They brought my pup out, I was charged, my price being more than it was the first time. My pup usually sits for me to take a picture when he gets a bath, but he was very depending to leave and get in the car. We got home and realized my pup was acting out in ways he doesn't. The evening came about and I notice nips along both the sides of his neck, patches of long hair throughout, and a bald spot on the side of his leg. We gave my pup a bath today and he looks so much better than when we picked him up from his haircut 4 days ago! I am extremely disappointed in this place that had such great reviews and did amazing the first time. It's already hard enough to trust people with your pets and for this to happen really doesn't help that trust. read more

This is the best groomer I have ever taken my dog Zoey to. They do not cage them while they are waiting to be picked up. They use organic products that made her fur so shiny and soft. Tracy took her time both on the phone and in person to consult with me about what she could do to make Olive gorgeous and now she is living her most beautiful life. When our sweet 14 year old cockapoo passed, Tracy gave us an orchid and Lori (who groomed him) shared a sweet moment and memory with us, filled with compassion and genuine care. With mine she only takes an hour and at Petsmart rook 4 hours keeping them in cages between services, I believe. Staff here is super friendly! You can tell they really care and are super knowledgeable about the animals. Nothing better then a groomer that loves their job. I brought my 105lbs Mastiff/Pit mix here for the first time since we moved into the area. He is a sweet boy and loves attention and was a big hairy dirt ball when I dropped him off after going to the beach. I made an appointment for the "Premier Wash" which includes a premium shampoo and conditioner best suited for your pet's skin and coat, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, nail dremeling, teeth brushing, enzymatic breath spray, hand blow-dry, and 15 minutes of brushing. I also noticed that Cali Pets is "cage free" which I can appreciate. The website says $35 and $10 off for a first time visit. Great deal right??! He looked and smelled sooo good when I picked him up! Although even after the bath and brushing he still had a lot of shedding. She mentioned to me she used an exfoliating glove and let him sit in conditioner for a few minutes and his hair follicles had opened up, he should stop shedding in about an hour. It was was fine with me, I know he has alooooot of hair. I appreciated that they went over him with a clean towel one more time to remove the loose hair before I left. I ended up paying $45 with the $10's off. When I asked why the price difference from online they mentioned it was because of his size and I had failed to see the "starting at" part of the price. I didn't mind...still an amazing deal for everything included. For all you pet lovers out there - highly highly highly recommend :) read more

This is a place where you drop your dog off for grooming and then pick him up when they are done. Highest quality care and products available. A bit more expensive for higher quality. I don't think I've ever met a nicer staff of human beings, I felt like my dogs would be in such great care (they are my kids whom which I love so much and their safety is always first), and my CavaDoodle gets some kinks from her curls and they handled her hair so beautifully. Looking for a groomer for your pet is always hit and miss. We have two pure breed Bichon puppies. Yesterday, was the initial full grooming (several hours) for our 5 month old puppy Cooper. Tracy was wonderful. Not only did she do a fantastic job grooming Cooper, but she spent close to 30 minutes just getting to know him and making him feel comfortable. This is a real customer review. I was so shocked the way I was treated by this groomer. I was referred here by a friend and have seen 2 different groomers at this place. Both groomers couldn't keep appointments and cancelled without even telling me. My poor dog's hair was cut so unevenly and, so messed up that I had to her take elsewhere to get cut shorter just to get it even. It was epensive too. More than I was told when I dropped her off. I told the front desk girl about the problems but she never got back to me. I asked to speak to the owner Tracy but she was scarry obnoxious and just didn't care what was happening. I thought this would be a good place for my dog but turns out the owner doesn't care and the groomers are not professional at all even though they say we have years of experience but I do a better job than they do with no experience. Awful mess and i cant go back . My friend and I are going elsewhere now . No problem there at my new place. Don't risk it. read more

Due to my customer service I am rating one star. This is my second time bringing my dog here and I can say I won't be returning. brought my dog for a haircut and when I booked over the phone I was told $60. I arrived for his haircut and was 5 minutes and most places want you to arrive early... however she told me I had to wait to 2:30 and wasn't so friendly. Anyways he goes through his haircut and it's time for me to pay she tells me it's going to be $80. I told her I was told $60 on the phone and she looks at my booking notes and confirms I was told that by an employee. She says she can't honor it... I explained that I started under the understanding that it would be $60 and did not plan to pay so much. She just says sorry and that she can't charge anything else. If a company has communicated to a customer a price and has it documented they should honor the price and the loss should be eaten by the company as the fall was on their end. To be honest I wouldn't had even walked in the door if it was going to cost that much for a puppies haircut. Just blew my mind that they wouldn't honor the price. By far the best groomer we have ever had. We have always had long hair dogs and have been to multiple groomers over the last 20 years. We are so happy that we came upon Cali Pets. My dog absolutely hates going to the groomers, but he needs to about every 6 weeks. We've tried every groomer in a 20 mile radius and Mara is the only one that he feels comfortable with.
