My dog has been shaking his head for three days now since his wash, and when you look in his ears they don't appear to be cleaned at all. I have a 15 year old senior pup (Carly) who is partially blind, deaf and has dementia which makes her aggressive during grooms. It has been really hard finding a new groomer who will take her since we've moved here. Our priority was to find someone who is empathetic and is up front of what can be done and what was actually done. Most importantly, we wanted Carly to be as stress free as possible. Our last attempt in finding a new groomer left Carly so traumatized that we were nervous about this upcoming appointment. However, we were happy with Groom Room and their professionalism. I love this groomer. The women working there are always so great with my fur baby. I have a schnauzer mix so I typically get a version of a schnauzer cut, which they always make her look adorable. Similar to some other comments, there are usually some areas that don't quite get cut and left long but I'm not looking for show quality for these reasonable prices. I appreciate the quick turnaround time because my dog is a rescue and gets super anxious. I used to take her to Petco which was a half day turnaround minimum. I have used Groom Room's services for the past year and a half. The grooming services itself are good however nowhere near worth losing your pet for. I dropped my husky off for her appointment and as I reached my car, I see my dog running through the parking lot without her leash and the employee I handed my dog to, running after her. This business in located in a heavily trafficked area directly near a main road with their doors propped wide open. I was able to get my dog who was obviously anxious from the heavy traffic and almost getting run over after a 10 minute chase. I understand mistakes happen however you can never replace a dog. Therefore, it is a big responsibility that this business tremendously failed doing so in this situation. I am very grateful my dog is okay however I cannot guarantee that would've been the case if I didn't see her running through the parking lot. The mishandling of my beloved dog at this establishment is unacceptable and terrifying. After the chase, I was not spoken to at all regarding the situation. No apology or follow up from the establishment until I asked for the manager Julie at the time of pickup. I appreciate the delayed apology and free de-shed service however it will never alleviate the panic of seeing your dog almost get run over. This may have been a once in a lifetime occurrence however should have never happened in the first place. Beware. read more

She said you have a vendetta against me and made it personal. She then basically said that if I took my review down she would issue me a refund!!! WTH? Really? That is not okay and speaks volumes about this business and it's practices. She claimed I was out to ruin her, etc. I will always fight for animals. Bottom line, my dog was muzzled after i told them not to and if there were any issues I'd be at the Starbucks In the same complex. Also, my best friend called to cancel Her appointment. Not because of my review, but because Lindsay wasn't there anymore. She was talked down to by Jordan. Jordan asked my friend if I was the one that posted the really bad review, and then went on to shame her by saying "well, it's a shame you're not willing to give anyone else here a chance." Really? She liked Lindsay, and shouldn't have to justify her reason for cancelling to anyone!!! Jordan also told my friend, when she asked if Lindsay still worked there, that it didn't actually matter which Lindsay, since they were both gone. Karen was upset with me for not giving her the chance to coach her staff. Well, I felt she had ample time. She should have called me Back the same day. That's what you do with very unhappy clients. I left her messages every day she was open and had to continue calling her back. She had time to coach her staff. I Mean it was her staff that told Me she was off yesterday. As a business owner, I would have thought coaching her staff would have taken precedence over anything. But, hey what do I know. The resort I managed had a 98% return clientele, and in other jobs, I have received many awards for my customer service. But, again, what do I know! I'm Just the customer, sorry I am just the ex customer. I did file a charge back with my credit card company, as I have no intention of taking my review and the 2 updates down. I won't be bullied into it. That is not good practice at all. Karen, I am Not trying to ruin you, that was not My intention, but it seems to be yours. My advice would be to listen to People and not cut them off to try and justify what happened. Because to the unhappy customer, there isn't any justification. And yes, you were extremely apologetic, after I had to Keep Reaching out to you. Maybe this all could have been avoided if you had simply handled this immediately. Their coats were silky soft without any gross, sticky shampoo residue. They smelled as yummy as new-born babies. Their cuts were even from side to side and definitely breed-appropriate. Took our dog here 3-4 times and it's been mixed results. First time was good but recently the dog has come home with dirty ears and bleeding nails. The staff is friendly enough but disorganized at times. The wait time can vary too. This most recent visit was an hour and 20 minutes for a premiere wash, no cut required. Also, be aware there is no AC in this building and on a busy summer day it gets hot in there. I don't think I would really recommend this place, but I do like the adjoining pet food store. They have self wash that I will try out and just have someone else help with my dog's nails. read more

The staff here are so wonderful! I have a senior pup and a new puppy. In all my experiences here, my pups have never been nervous to go back with the groomers and they always come back looking relaxed and not anxious at all. The groomers and workers here care about the dogs and about treating them well. In the past, I've used a different groomer and I'll hear my senior pup yelp- the groomer will say, "they're just scared, don't worry." Well, I don't worry about my pups at the Groom Room bc I've never heard my girls yelp or cry out. I highly recommend this place!! We love Groom Room! I've brought my Penny in every few weeks since they've opened. Penny has been groomed by Julie and by Jordan on multiple occasions and each time, she's looked squeaky clean and well taken care of. They even place a bow in her hair or send her off with the cutest bandanas! Very disappointing visit this time. His first visit went amazing. I gave short preferences & Lindsay turned him out perfectly in less than 2 hours. This time, I gave specific instructions based on that visit for a schnauzer cut. Not one part of it was done. He has no beard left, barely a skirt and hacks all over including a chunk of hair left by the eye. He was there almost 4 hours. He was traumatized all evening.
