I have had the most amazing experience with this grooming service. The owner is especially kind, thorough and professional. I would never consider another groomer and recommend this to all looking for a pleasant grooming experience for their pet. I cannot say enough - 5 stars for this owner! Need to mention that the pricing is exceptionally reasonable.

I have been taking my fur babies to Shay for a few years now. They are always so happy to go and that is the most important sign of a good groomer and a good person for that matter. She is loving, patient and does a wonderful job. I recommend her to everybody.

Omg. Banafsheh (the owner) always does SUCH an amazing job with both of our dogs. We have a giant golden doodle and a medium sized Tibetan terrier that we've been taking to her for a few years now. She makes them look like squee puffy kawaii marshmallow bears and I love them so much. Banafsheh is so kind and always does a lovely job, and her prices are incredibly reasonable.

I trusted the reviews online, went in and this is what I got. I know my dog gets uneasy at times but I would think if this is your job you should know how to work with uneasy pets. I've never had any issues at the other groomers I've taken him at - aside from their availability. She gave me an estimated 57 dollar quote on the phone and then ended up charging me 70 when I went to go pick him up. I would think that if they charged me extra they should have at least made him look good instead it looks like they cut him with children's scissors.

Took my 11year old English Bulldog here for the first time today and we loved it! Super friendly and fast and helpful. They listened to my concerns with Brownie as she's older and it all went great. Will totally be bringing here from now on so long as we live in San Marcos!

This is a long overdue review...My co-worker had recommended PPP to me years ago after I had a bad experience at another grooming place. David was always very pleasant when I'd drop off my pup. I will say that my dog didn't have the cleanest cuts after visits, but I was just happy I'd found a place where she was comfortable enough to be groomed. David retired a few years ago and Banafsheh took over. The service is still wonderful. She takes her time with my pup and always looks good after a fresh cut. When she's ready to be picked up, Banafsheh always calls and says "Your baby is ready!" and always comments how sweet she was during her visit. Your fur babies will be taken care of here and you won't be disappointed!

I have been taking Layla to Shay since we adopted her which was in 2022. Shay has always been so accommodating with her scheduling, pricing and of course being so sweet to Layla. Layla always looks great when I go to pick her up :) We can usually pick Layla up about 2.5 - 3 hours after I've dropped her off so she doesn't have to stay too long which I like. Layla is a nervous dog but Shay is so kind and gentle with her, I know she is in good hands. read more

Petite Pet Parlour located in a stand alone building on San Marcos Boulevard does not look like the flashy pet store operations, but overcomes commercial flash with down home personal, and professionl pet grooming to the highest of standards, at a more reasonable price. read more

This young woman does an excellent job on my bearded collie, at a reasonable cost. I'm only in the area a short time when I'm visiting in the US, and she makes it easy for me to fit my dog's grooming into my tight schedule. Always a pleasant experience at Petite Pet Parlor - try it! read more

The owner is very friendly and it was easy to make appointment for my little poodle. I'm very picky about my poodles cuts and had specific requests. I was impressed at the quality of her work and her attention to details especially how well she cleaned doggy's toes. His face was cut even and perfect. Her prices are reasonable. We always take our pup to Petite Pet Parlour. Consistently great service. Shea is very kind, patient, and gentle. She uses quality products that keep the dogs looking and smelling great far longer than when we try to do it ourselves. Shea is flexible with drop off and pickup. I took my dog here a few months ago and wasn't thrilled with what I paid for. I paid for a bath and cut...she charged around $60 and he definitely did not get a bath. I did call in the morning of and she got me in within 2 hours...but I will definitely not be going back. My family lives in this area and they couldn't believe my dog didn't get a bath. She didn't ask for vet papers and from what I saw there were no other dogs there being groomed. Won't be going back. read more

Even though she's a dog groomer, she is happy to clip my cats nails. She's so calm & gentle and charges way less than the Oceanside Cat Hospital where I used to take her. You've probably passed it a bunch of times while driving down San Marcos Blvd and didn't realize it. I'm really pleased with the service I get there. Shea is great! read more

I have a total of 6 dogs of varrying sizes and temperments and they've all had visits at Petite for one reason or another. My two chihuahua's and they both don't deal well with strangers. My boy has a huge issue with men and doesn't like other dogs and my girl just has trust issues all over the place. I've been bringing my crew here for just over 4 years for nail clips only and Dave has been gentle and understanding every time. He didn't even freak out when my boy peed all over him while getting his nails done. This is a very tiny place and it's a one man show so make an appointment. It's also a little stuffy in there, something that works for my bald always freezing pups but wouldn't work for my 125lb hairy as heck mixed breed dog. His prices are pretty average, if not just a little less than most places and I never feel like he's jacking up the price on anything. read more

5 Stars to Petite Pet Parlor! The owner is great with dogs, so gentle and quick to gain their confidence. I have no problem leaving my shy Sophie for a bath, nail trim and glands expressed. My big, adorable but SMELLY Bassett Hound comes out smelling wonderful and stays smelling good for over a week! The prices are great! I can't say enough! Let me start of by saying that I'm not one to leave any kind of review unless I am truly compelled. For about a month now I have been trying to get an appointment at my usual grooming salon and not only have they been giving out booked appointments, they've insisted on charging a "holding fee" for securing the appointment. Point being, I lost a much needed appointment influencing my decision to look for another groomer. Today I chose to call petite parlour and the very friendly owner insisted I come in as soon as possible. I dropped off my pup and in a matter of a few hours he was done! I picked him up and he looked great! I'm use to paying $90+ for my small dog and let's just say the prices and service here are remarkable. If you're thinking of supporting a small business and are looking for a new groomer, come here! I've always been hesitant to change, but today's experience proved otherwise. This groomer is exactly what we've been looking for. The owner does fantastic work and has the GREATEST customer service I've ever experienced with a pet groomer. The owner does a great job with our Mini Schnauzer and amazed every time I come back to her up. I bring in a small werewolf and get back a sassy little princess! The owner always makes time to get us in and I really appreciate that. I'll definitely continue to take my business here. read more

On a referral from a friend who took her 2 dachshunds here, I made an appointment. The place is small and hidden. I brought my Toy Poodle in and she immediately ran to Shay, the owner. Shay is so loving and I felt comfortable before I shut the door behind me. My little Ella was so beautiful and clean when she was finished. What a relief to find such a wonderful groomer for my baby. The owner/groomer is just wonderful!! My 2 year old, one eyed, Yorkie-Poo is usually tentative around strangers but he went right into her arms as if she was his best friend. She has a warm, loving demeanor. You can tell that she truly loves animals. We go now about every 8 weeks and my little, Bear always looks precious!!!!! read more

Dave is one of the best groomers out there. We take our poodle about once every other month for a professional cut. Our other dog, a chihuahua/pug (chug) gets his nails cut. There is no way I can cut his nails without him biting me but as long as I hold him and Dave cuts with the dog facing away - he finished within 5 minutes. Very reasonable prices. read more

So, if you're anything like me... you just have to do your research, find a good match and hope for the best. That's what I did and how I found John Kedroff Signature Pet Grooming. And the outcome was much, much better than I expected. There are SOOO many wonderful things about the whole process at John Kedroff's Signature Grooming but my most favorite thing, is that he made leaving my pups at the groomers much less painful because: 1- I love that there is no hidden room or place to kennel your dogs up that can't be seen. Everything is in the open, you can see your dogs and what's happening. I really appreciate the transparency in that and how clean everything is. It's a welcoming comfy establishment. 2- John was very professional and kind. He took our pups back behind the little gate and showed them love. You can tell that John likes what he does. He asked us questions about what we wanted for our pups and we felt good about his ability to make it happen because of his confidence and input. In setting up the appointment, he was quick to respond, he is efficient and has vision when he sees your pup. I love that! 3- I am super grateful that that he limits the number of dogs he will take at a time so, his attention isn't divided and our dogs aren't overwhelmed with new "friends". 4- His pricing is very reasonable and the final product of his work is impeccable. John gave me an estimated timeframe for when our two pups would be done, couple hours and he was right-on-the-money. I dropped them off and I left went to shops nearby; I drove by periodically to see them through the window. And to my relief, they were happy and healthy. I got a text right when I pulled in (for the timeframe he gave me) and the text said that they were ready. I wasn't in a hurry but loved that they were ready when I got there. Meant to be. The result: FABULOUS! We wanted to get her cleaned up as soon as possible. I called Meadows Pet Care on Monday, and they were able to get us in Tuesday morning. When we arrived, she was greeted by their "Husky Expert". We discussed what the service was going to be in detail, and she gave me an approximate time when I could pick her up. Two-and-a-half hours later I found a very happy, clean, and deshedded Desi, ready to go home. It was clear that she was treated very nicely, and the woman did a great job with her. The price was fully in line with what I expected after talking with my daughter who has two Huskies she has taken to a few other places. This was good experience for me and my dog. We'll be back to Meadows Pet Care.

Thankfully, she was diagnosed with old dog vestibular syndrome and is doing well. I called ABC Veterinary and spoke with a gentleman at the front desk to explain everything that had happened. I specifically told him that I would still be bringing my dog to her scheduled appointment because I needed to speak with Dr. Meyer about her condition and how this would affect her upcoming surgery to remove a mass. The next day, my husband received a phone call asking whether we would be coming to the appointment because they had the impression that the owner of the dog was the one in the hospital. I don't understand how that message was communicated instead of the information I actually provided. When I arrived for the appointment, I was surprised to learn it had been scheduled as a technician visit for blood work only. I explained that I needed to speak with Dr. Meyer about my dog's care. I was then told that if I wanted to wait to see the doctor, I would have to pay an additional $75 because she didn't have time to see me right away. This was extremely frustrating. My dog had just spent the night in the emergency hospital, where she had already undergone blood work, X-rays, and an MRI. None of that information was discussed, and instead it felt like the only way I could have a conversation with the veterinarian about my dog's condition and planned surgery was by paying another fee. Good communication is essential, especially when a pet has experienced a medical emergency and is scheduled for surgery. Instead, I experienced poor communication, confusion, and a lack of concern for my dog's ongoing care. The focus seemed to be on additional charges rather than making sure everyone was informed and addressing my questions. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office. I would encourage anyone looking for veterinary care to choose a practice that prioritizes communication, compassion, and continuity of care for both pets and their owners.

When I noticed my dog Ruby acting strangely while eating and spitting out her food, I checked her…read moremouth and was surprised to find what appeared to be a fracture on one of her large back teeth. I immediately emailed the clinic with a few photos, and within 20 minutes I had both an email response and a phone call (just in case I missed the email), along with an appointment confirmed for 8am the very next morning with enough time reserved to perform an extraction if needed. The responsiveness alone was impressive. At drop-off, the surgery technician, Jorge, was incredible. He was knowledgeable, personable, and immediately put us at ease, especially since this was Ruby's first surgery requiring anesthesia. During our conversation and bringing up a certain topic, he mentioned he recently attended a dental conference which reassured us that the team is committed to continuing education and staying current with best practices. Dr. Gertz, whom Ruby has seen previously for routine care, was wonderful as always. She performed the initial exam, confirmed that the tooth appeared fractured, and explained that the team would call with a definitive diagnosis once dental X-rays had been completed. The treatment plan was straightforward - anesthesia, dental X-rays, bloodwork to ensure levels were appropriate before surgery, and a cleaning with extraction if necessary. A few hours after drop-off, we received a call confirming that the tooth was indeed fractured, although surprisingly still alive. Dr. Luna took the time to thoroughly explain the findings and our options. At no point did we feel pressured. She clearly outlined the pros and cons of proceeding versus monitoring the tooth and explained that leaving it untreated would likely lead to problems in the future. After discussing everything, we decided to move forward with the extraction since she was already under anesthesia. No more than a few minutes later, the team called again because they realized the cost of the updated treatment plan had not been reviewed. I actually hadn't noticed because I already trusted that the recommendation was medically appropriate and that the pricing would be fair (which it was). Still, I appreciated their transparency and professionalism in making sure every detail was discussed before proceeding. When we picked Ruby up around 2:00pm, Jorge spent considerable time reviewing her full-mouth dental X-rays with us and explaining exactly why the extraction was recommended. It was fascinating to learn more about canine dentistry, and we left feeling far more informed than when we arrived. He answered all of our questions patiently and thoroughly (even the ones that were already covered in the aftercare packet we had just been handed!). We also were given a full sized sample of a recommended oral rinse for regular maintenance. Ruby recovered exceptionally well from the surgery, which was a huge relief. She had previously undergone sedation prior to X-rays at another clinic years ago and did not have a great experience, so we were naturally nervous. This time, her recovery was smooth, the extraction site is healing beautifully, and she came home comfortable with appropriate pain medication. She has shown no signs of discomfort throughout the recovery process. I also want to recognize Lauren at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout the process. She worked with us to ensure detailed notes were included in Ruby's chart to help prevent potential insurance issues and even went a step further by following up with the doctor after we left to request additional documentation that could support a smoother claims process. That level of attention and advocacy is rare and deeply appreciated. Overall, this was an outstanding experience from start to finish. We even received a call a few days after her surgery to simply check in on her recovery. From the front office staff to the technicians and veterinarians, every person we interacted with was compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in Ruby's well-being. The communication was outstanding, the care was exceptional, and we never once felt rushed or pressured. Ruby is family to us, and the trust we place in those caring for her is not something we take lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the entire team and feel completely confident entrusting them with the health and care of both of our dogs. Bonus: they were giving out adorable supergirl bandanas they received as promo material!

SoCal Vet is the place to go for your pet's dental cleanings. My Pug just has the worst dental…read moreissues, bad breath, lots of visible tarter, etc. I worry about her health and if she's in pain, so I set out to get her evaluated. SoCal Vet quoted me 1/3 of the price of other Vets in my area- about $700 for a 20lb doggy with poor dental. The price included blood work, x-rays, anesthesia, meds, AND extractions. My pug needed quite a few teefs removed. They clipped her nails free of charge. The Gentlemen (forgive me, I forgot his name) who went over x-rays and cleaned her teeth is great at what he does! I have since taken her back for a dental check, and brought my other pug. Both were sedated and received the full dental treatment. The price has remained the same for each! Dr and Staff are sweet; they are busy, but very kind. Def recommend them.

I miss the personal touch of a small office where the staff is calm, they know all the animals and their parents, and return phone calls.

The next day I brought her in and held her to the very end. I miss her a lot, and the other dogs mourned her. But what happened before all of that was what I want you to know. The vet-tech came in with a little silver platter. On it with a tongue, depressor coated in cheese-wiz and three Hershey's kisses. She had not eaten in three days, however, she lifted her little head and enjoyed her final treats. Chocolate, you say? Something I would've never given her, however, I figured this was her Thelma and Louise moment. That act of kindness and a little bit of a chuckle still warms my heart.
