These guys are awesome. Wouldn't go to any other tinting place. They do extremely high quality work (best tinting jobs I've seen), for about the same price as everyone else, and they actually care about you and your car and do the best job they can. Gerald is the man. I've had two cars tinted by him (he's the owner and main installer) and could not possibly be more happy with the job he did. He explains everything clearly, makes sure you know exactly what you want beforehand and shows you examples. And it's not like he's more expensive than other places. He's a great guy, and will work around your schedule. The tints he's done on both of my cars are literally perfect--as good as they get. Can't imagine going anywhere else. After they did my first car, I bought new car speakers but was afraid to put them in myself. I called up Gerald (since tinting windows involves some of the same steps as installing speakers) and he offered to install the speakers for me. I brought my car in the next day, he had some free time, showed me how to do it and basically installed them for me, all for free, simply out of good will. After considering a few tint places, I decided on Cali Tint, and I'm happy I did. Gerald personally worked on my GS300. I got their Wincos tint 20% and after almost a month it looks great. They took great care of my car. It took them a while to finish my car because I had them remove the existing tint. I had to pick up my car the next day, but it was well worth the wait. They were a little more pricey because of the brand of tint I wanted, but I was more than willing to pay for a job well done. There are very few places that work with Wincos tint, and Cali Tint is one of the few in the Bay Area. I highly recommend them, no matter what tint you want. read more

I found Cali Tint through Yelp when I was researching local places. I like to do my research and actually had a list of about 5 places I contacted, some based on referrals from friends. I did my research in the evening and called all of the locations at about 9pm to leave messages. I was actually surprised when Aldo picked up! (Of the other messages I left - 3 never bothered to even respond and call me back.) Aldo explained the process and invited me down to visit the shop where I was able to see the material and the cars they were working on. My 2014 Mustang looks great and although it has only been a few months, I'm sure I can depend on them should I need any follow up. I have to give Gerald and his partner at Cali Tint five stars, they are great. I'm extremely picky, indecisive, and ask a ton of questions. Gerald was very informative, took extra time to walk me through my options and why one type of film was better than another. They are perfectionists, they stand behind their work, and they want you to be pleased. I feel they genuinely take pride in their work and it shows. Brought in my 2014 Audi Q7, already had factor tint on back. Walked me through options even did a sample on back and front window to show me what it will look like. Noticed front tint has a blue tone. Gerald took it upon himself to contact the manufacturer. They ended up swapping out that film and gave him all new. Car looks awesome, very pleased. Additionally, I then brought my husband's 2013 BMW 740i in for tint 3 weeks later. I know it's a difficult car to tint. They took their time, and paid attention to detail. Don't rush your tint job. I can tell you this place rocks for window tinting! Gerald (the owner/lead installer) is very patient and professional. He takes time to explain all of his products, shows pictures of his finished projects (in this case cars) and is very critical of his own work. When I didn't see any imperfections with his job he still spent an extra few minutes making sure it matched his standards. Arrive at 2:50pm and noted that the one stall shop had a BMW backed in and someone was underneath the rear of this vehicle. Gerald asked if I was the one who called previously and had me fill out the work order info. I completed this and left my key and proceeded to IHOP, for a late lunch. Got back about 3:45pm and noted my vehicle was still parked in the lot. When I walked up, I noticed the same BMW, with two workers underneath the rear. I announced that I would have to leave now and I was informed to come back the next morning; for the three hour(s) job.
