My family chose this shop without my approval, and told me to look at the website, which just made me even more uncomfortable for my windshield replacement. I drive a BMW and everything was fine and dandy until I noticed that my wipers were too far to the right. They were literally hitting the body of the vehicle and lifting. So I had my mother take the car back to fix the alignment of the wipers and originally was told "that's how it was when you brought it in". Please! Aside from my windshield my car was perfect. So I called personally and explained the issue. They tried to tell my mother that all they could do was raise my wipers. So that's what they did. I picked up the car today and seriously, I'm really disappointed. Product wise everything was fine with the windshield, but really?? Giving cheap explanations and excuses and not fixing their mistake is unacceptable. Going to BMW Murrieta to have that fixed because clearly their physically or mentally unable to correct a problem they caused. Should have taken car to BMW from the get go! DO NOT USE! read more

I came here to get my 2007 Mustang tinted in 2008. I paid around $250 and got 5% on the rear windows and 12% on the front two. About a year ago, my rear window began bubbling BADLY! It looks HORRIBLE!!!! even though my car is kept in a garage! I called to ask about the lifetime warranty that came with my purchase (that's why I chose darksyde in the first place) and I was told they could do nothing without a receipt. I don't remember being told I needed to keep the receipt, otherwise I would have put it somewhere safe. I understand a year long warranty requiring a receipt, but lifetime? I figured they would keep my name/ phone number/license plate number/VIN number or something in their computer system. Now I am stuck with a window that totally ruins what should be an awesome car. I've called other places for quotes and they want upwards of $100 just to fix it. I've also been told not to remove it myself because there's a chance I could damage the defroster. Great. I just wish it would have been made more clear that a receipt was needed for warranty, maybe print it in bold letters or on a colored piece of paper? Learn from my mistake and keep ALL your paperwork!!! read more

In the last year and a half I have had 2 vehicles tinted at Darksyde and had some headlight work done at Darksyde and trust me, this guy knows what he is doing. The jobs he did were quick and perfect. Also, i just showed up and got it done by that afternoon. Gerardo is super helpful and knows exactly what he is talking about when asking about different tint and lighting. I had previously had tint installed at another shop many years ago and the tint had issues from the start and they wouldnt help with it. Darksyde has a warranty so you never even worry about it. I live in Temecula and drive a 2009 Lexus IS250. I recently bought the vehicle and promised myself I wasn't going to go crazy with modifications and things like that but I definitely wanted to tint the windows. I googled places from San Diego to Carona then called for pricing. A firm believer of "you get what you pay for" I went into the Darksyde because they quoted me the best price by FAR to see if the place was legit or not. Although the shop is relatively small I talked to the owner who gave me his full attention and we discussed my windows for an indecisive 20 minutes or so until my wife and I finally made up our minds. That night they stayed an hour past closing to complete my windows and I was able to take the car back that night. Not able to be content with a stock vehicle I decided to upgrade my IS250 with HID headlights. After another informative discussion with multiple options I decided on the more expensive lights and was delighted when they again stayed open late to finish the job. I have been back again for installation on aftermarket taillights and the bottom line is everything i throw at him he completes with quality and customer service that far surpass both expectations and previous services from other shops. I've written 3 reviews in my 30 years and this is one of them. I wouldn't have taken the time to write this extensive review if I wasn't blown away by the service. I would not only recommend, but highly encourage anyone looking to get work done on a vehicle in the Temecula area to check out The Darksyde. Asked for my entire roof covered in black vinyl, they did not do the antenna nor the side bike rack rails. I told them, who gets a black vinyl roof but wants part of it to be a completely different color that looks awful. I would have never gone with them had I known this infi prior, no one advised me the antenna or side rails could not be done so I expected my entire roof black. They said they would try to fix the antenna but refused to do the side railings, I never received a call back letting me know when to come in for the antenna. Poor customer service and had 2 noticeable bubbles in the vinyl wrap. read more

Best tint shop around did two of my cars tint turned out great and haven't had any problems

Took my new Lexus GS350 F-Sport in for tint job. The work performed looked amazing, HOWEVER, the vehicle was full of grime and overspray from their squirt bottles. I thought nothing of it and went home to clean it myself. I always use a chamois to clean my car as the paint is obsidian black (very glossy). To my surprise i noticed a few scratches on the A-pillar and back quarter glass pillar area. I called Gerardo (owner) and he got defensive from day 1. I explained those scratches were not there and I would have known about them since i just bought the car! I know my car after cleaning it thoroughly for days of ownership. I take pride in my vehicles appearance. Gerardo blew me off for over 3 weeks and finally after our last conversation 5/15/18, he opts to tint my windshield for free? Really?? I said no thanks. He then offers to dip my rims and remove his cost. Really? I said no thanks. I demanded 3 estimates and take the average of the 3 as reimbursement for damage. He declined, so now... we are going down the civil resolution path. Gerardo... I will see you in court sir! People, DO NOT TAKE your vehicle here. They have NO, absolutely no quality control process. They do not check your vehicle for damages going in or out. They have no backend cameras in their garage?! They do not walk around your vehicle with you after the work is performed?! So, Gerardo... how the hell are you not taking responsibility for your LACK of Quality Control???? Again, i will see you in court. You will be reimbursing me on this one... you lose! read more
