After needing a repair on my car, and needing a CarMax warranty repair facility, I searched forever and found the best reviews with this place. They are rated almost 5 stars for a reason. From the minute I called - I spoke to Jacob and he was absolutely amazing and understood I was going to be bringing my car in for repairs and that it was being towed in by AAA. I have had an ongoing problem with my car overheating while idling. I booked an appointment for Jacob and his staff of mechanics to look at my car this Tuesday morning. I have been to so many mechanics, and have been ripped off and lied to. This is the first HONEST mechanic I have ever been to! I will never go anywhere else. I needed a place to check out my clutch, and report back to my extended warranty. So far Britany and Jacob have been such a big help and explained everything to me in simple terms. Instead of taking advantage of me because I am young, female and not too knowledgeable about cars, they told me exactly what's wrong and have done so much to help me fight to get it covered by my warranty. Jacob even offered to drive with me and coach me on driving my Dodge Dart (I guess they can be tricky and you need to know how to drive them). That is insane to me. The amount of help and kindness that comes from this place is amazing, and I am so grateful I finally found a mechanic I can trust. I also really appreciate all the updates Britany gives me. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN HONEST MECHANIC, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. My brake function light came on my Ford Fusion and needed someone to check it. I rolled over to Oil Changers and they recommended me visit these folks at Caliber Auto. I am so glad they did. Jacob and his people checked my car for any issues I might have with my brakes. The code that came up had to do with communication with the E-Brake so they tested that and cleared the code for me. They found nothing wrong and NEVER CHARGED me for their time. They spent a good half an hour with my car. Also, Jacob is a very pleasant gentleman who kept me informed about what was going on with my vehicle as they looked at it. THAT IS TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If my brake light comes back on again I'll be sure to come back to Caliber. I also will recommend them to anyone as well. I am super impressed and also grateful to them. I brought my Subaru by Caliber to diagnose what I thought was a transmission related problem. I could tell from the shop environment that the people that run it are good people. Not only did a mechanic drop what he was doing to go for a ride with me twice in the same morning, but also was very knowledgeable and instantly knew what the sound was that wasn't at all transmission related. The guys at CAR have kept my vehicle in the game and without any issues. They understand my concerns and work with me based on them (I want to drive this thing forever :) ). These guys are great. I had an issue with my truck being smogged and couldn't figure out what it needed or why it wasn't passing as there was no check engine lights on. Tommy took the time to actually explain to me what it needed and why instead of just saying "it failed, you need to get it fixed, I don't know what's wrong, have a mechanic look into it". Or, "well we can troubleshoot it here and charge you a fortune. Very nice people and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles. I definitely will be going back there even though it's relatively far from me, it doesn't matter. I had a few smog people fail me and just say "drive it, it hasn't cleared yet" extremely frustrating and these guys finally helped me get the freakin thing legally smogged. Awesome spot. Worth the drive if you're not that close to them.. I could have mine smogged "free" at another place as I had already paid them but chose to go here as the other pinheads were zero help. This establishment is amazing. Every staff member is helpful and professional, but they treat you like family at the same time. Jacob is very knowledgeable, as are the other mechanics. Sabrina is also knowledgeable and helpful. They do not over charge and properly diagnose your vehicle with recommendations and pictures. They do not try to charge you for work your car does not need and they are very honest. They will help in any way. I recently had a cracked head gasket and a shot transmission. They did not try to fix my car, they were honest and told be it would cost more to fix than my car was worth, but were willing to do whatever I wanted to do. This shop was a fantastic experience, my 2013 F-150's sunroof wouldn't close and after the dealer spent 2 full days trying to fix it with no avail just recommended replacing the entire thing. A day later I found these guys and was extremely impressed not only with the service but the overall cleanliness of the shop. I was there for 15min max and they had the sunroof closed and had a quote for the total repair that came in wayyyy lower than the dealer. I will definitely be back to get it repaired asap. Jacob and his crew did a wonderful job on our 2006 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner. The front office staff (I believe her name is Sabrina) makes you feel like you're family. The Toyota dealership suggested several maintenance/repair needs (front brakes, tail shaft seal, service rear brakes) that were cost prohibitive. Caliber Auto Repair preformed all these services plus changing the spark plugs and transmission fluid, using genuine OEM Toyota parts and fluids whenever possible, at way under half the cost quoted at the dealership. It's a good feeling knowing that your only being sold what is necessary. In other words, this is a VERY HONEST repair facility! From here on out, I will be having Caliber Auto handle all my vehicle maintenance and repair needs. read more
