Highly recommend. I was very pleased with their service! The Diagnostic seemed pricey at first (around $175.00), but so glad I did it! They were very thorough. Even listing that the *Windshield nozzle was broken off. Haha. That proved to me that they were good at what they do and looking at everything. After going to Firestone 3 times, with no solution to a intermittent brake light on the dash coming on and then the ESP light, they solved it. Turns out the level was sticking on the brake fluid and I needed a flush. But, they found a bigger problem with bad shocks. I also had almost no oil! WTH? I had just had a complete service 5 months before. Keep in mind that I had been back to Firestone 2 times after. I don't work, so not alot of driving except to pick up donations for Animal Rescue. All local. And local errands. Sharpe was very honest, even with the repair quote. Instead of saying you need to fix it all, they advised what should be done now. They provided a very detailed Diagnostic and actually gave it to me with all the comments. I asked about the next item, brakes, and they gave me a full quote and breakdown. *By the way, ordered 2 new Windshield fluid nozzles. They said pop by will install them. No Charge. May not seem like a big deal to some. But, it was to me and they pulled a mechanic out to do it. Thank you! read more

Sharpe Automotive for the second time has done a wonderful job on our older vehicles. Previously we had been in with a 2000 Excursion that was having a problem staying running on the freeway. We had it towed to them from another repair shop who couldn't figure out the problem whatsoever and they quickly figured it out. Now just recently we took our F350 Dually to have it gone through to run better and not jeopardize the engine. They went through and explained everything in detail then performed all the work and the truck is running better than it has in years. Went in for a check engine light on a 2006 Tacoma. After being told it would take a couple hours to check but then it actually taking all day while I wandered around Santee with no truck, they came back with an estimate for a catalytic convertor for a total of $3300. I went home to think about that exorbitant price tag as it seems like a dealership price. While at home I found an old invoice from this same shop showing that I had actually already had the catalytic convertor replaced 20,000 miles ago. No one mentioned this when going in for the new estimate. They touted OEM parts, as if the original cat was still in the truck but it was actually the aftermarket part that they had welded in, not that long ago. They explained that cats can go bad if the truck is burning oil. There is nothing wrong with the truck other than this. No reason for this to fail so soon, other than a sh** part that they bought and or a sh** weld job. Was given no help, no discounts, no I'm sorrys as they do not stand by their work. They literally said that they do not warranty anything anymore. I mean, they chose the sh** part, there should be some guarantee that I wouldnt need a new cat every 20,000 miles. I know they dont last as long as OEM but come on and then them trying to argue that this is normal is insulting. Another item to note is that I was only charged $200 for labor for welding in the aftermarket cat but the new labor estimate is $700 and all you have to do is unscrew 4 bolts for the OEM cat (which as a women I guess I'm not supposed to know). As a military veteran and a female, I can not stress enough to not trust this shop. When we went there the first time, the owner was super nice as we were referred there by a fellow AMA D38 desert racer. We had an AC unit put in and we got a discount and they even gave my bf a Sharpe shirt. It was a nice, friendly, down to earth shop. Now its sterile, impersonal, and untrustworthy. With hundreds of shops to chose from, best to pass on this one. read more

This place is honest and reputable. That is hard to find these days without them wanting to sell you things you don't need. I took my sons truck in for a brake check (light wouldn't go off) and they thoroughly checked everything to make sure it was safe. It needed an instrument panel due to a malfunction but was honest and told me if I said yes they would talk me out of it. It wasn't worth the money for something as costly as it was and I appreciate their honesty. I just felt better knowing the brakes were good and functioning correctly. Customer service was great and they were in time with their appointment and when it would be ready. I will definitely recommend this place and bring all my vehicles there. I traveled from Oklahoma on my way to La Paz. In San Diego I noticed my wheel seal leaking on my low mileage still under warranty Ford Truck. The dealership was two weeks out from making the repair. By chance I walked into Dean's shop around 10 am. He replaced both wheel seals and replaced the oil soaked brake pads and had me out the door on my way to Mexico by 3 pm.
