It starts with the customer service of Gladis--not only the first person you meet when you walk into the business, but the keystone of how that place seems to be running. She takes care of the customers when they come in,maintenance the snack and coffee table,pops the popcorn and makes sure that anyone who comes in that door is taken care of. A proper concierge for sure. Next was Joseph, my service rep, was kind and professional the whole experience and actually listened when I talked, which is really hard to do, when I went to other collision centers for my kids' cars, it seemed as if all they were trying to do was get their check as quickly as possible. It did not seem that way with Joseph. He seemed genuine and wanted to do the best job that he could do. My vehicle was taken in and scheduled to be in for repair approximately seven days but was finished earlier because of the exceptional service Caliber Collision offers--Joseph texted me every step of the process, letting me know if there were going to be any delays, as well as any updates, broken or missing parts, or any unexpected costs that may have come up. Once I received my vehicle, Joseph wasn't there, and Gladis was able to get the Manager, to deliver the vehicle while Gladis checked me out. The manager listened very carefully to any concerns I had and made sure that I was taken care of. The customer service and the final product at Caliber Collision seem to be something that this company takes pride in to ensure you have the best experience before your car is repaired and after it is repaired, as they gave me a lifetime warranty on the work that was done in their shop. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars--no complaints--and would highly recommend this company to anybody looking to get their car repaired not only in Bakersfield but nationwide. It seems like the ratings for these places are all the same--pretty high--but research everything as i did and just like anything else, not all Caliber Collisions will be created equal, you may not have a "Gladis" or "Joseph" at your location but I sure hope you do.. read more

I brought my car here after an accident for repairs. While the work was completed, I noticed issues shortly after picking it up. A trim piece near the front fog light area fell off, which makes me question how secure the repairs were. In addition, the back right door still doesn't look properly aligned. The panel lines and fit don't match the rest of the car, and it's noticeable when you look down the side. I expected the vehicle to be restored to its pre-accident condition, both in safety and appearance. Unfortunately, the quality of the finishing work did not meet that expectation. I recommend thoroughly inspecting your vehicle before leaving and addressing any concerns immediately. I hope the shop will stand behind their work and make this right. read more

I went in for an estimate on a broken fuel door. Toyota was going to charge 200 just for an estimate, so I was already pleased when I was offered a free estimate. My 4 year old and I were greeted by very friendly staff when we walked in. We were offered coffee, water and popcorn. My daughter was very excited about the free popcorn. The staff chatted with my daughter and I while we waited briefly. The tech came back to have me take a look at what they found and I was amazed to discover that they had fixed my fuel door for me free of charge. I went to caliber collision on Tuesday of this week Mat 2023 to get a estimate on some damage on my truck. The lady that I had to wait to come out and give the estimate was more worried about her Botox and her personal looks then the customer, she finally comes out, look at my truck. Took some photos and said they would be sending me an estimate to my phone later today. " never happened "....... Day Number two I called them saying I didn't receive an estimate, told them who did the estimate and still no estimate. They can keep there piss poor service and fake people. read more

On January 21, 2025 I was driving down the grapevine, and a speeding truck in front of me ran over a pipe which flew up to my front window causing a crack. The next day I took it to Caliber Collision. I spoke with Kyle and he was very professional with my wife and I. My wife gave him her keys, and stated that a small knife was attached to the key ring. Our experience with Caliber up to then was awesome. They kept us in the loop throughout the entire repair. During pickup we met Cesar, he went over all the repairs that were fixed, and was very helpful. However, we got home we noticed that the knife that was attached to the key ring was missing. I contacted Cesar about the missing knife on January 31,2025 . He stated that he would look for it and contact me. It's February 10th now, and still no word what happened to it! Somewhere, between the glass repair,and paint it went missing. The knife was purchased from Urban EDC Supply located in San Francisco. So, it wasn't a cheap knife. This was my only complaint about Caliber Collision. The knife was given from a relative. So it had sentimental value and now it's gone! read more

After waiting for close to a month for our car to be out, we noticed the passenger side bumper clip was out but since we needed the car we pushed it in and went our way. Days pass and the bumper stays popping out, we eventually took it in just for them to say "you broke it" dont let the good reviews fool you they will cut corners just to get the most out of your insurance and leave you hanging, well your bumper hanging. Pre "body work" my car was hit on driver side, my passanger side of the bumper was completely fine but after they "fixed" everything the passanger side clips are now the messed up ones, makes sense? Took my car in after a chick side swiped me. Had previously gone to another location and had a good experience, unfortunately this location is terrible. The tech was hard to reach, and once the car was finally ready I found my dash cams unplugged and the cords pulled out of the ceiling. They offered no explanation and I had to insist they fix it since the cameras had been professionally installed. Wonder what shadiness they did in my car that they wanted no one to see. I hate to write this bad review because I have had a good experience with this shop in the past but unfortunately the most recent experience was not satisfactory. Austin was the one assigned to me car he told us the car was ready last Friday we said we were unable to pick it up due to being out of town and we could come Monday.. only to be told Monday that he had not realized they didn't re tint the window yet.. fast forward to picking the car up and realize they ripped my leather on my driver front seat which he checks the intake pictures and admits that he was not aware of the damage to the seat and that they would fix it for us also tried to blame the weather for the back window being broken.... Now they are refusing to fix it and say it's considered normal wear and tear and that I can pay to fix it myself because "maybe they can see wear on the intake picture"...Unprofessional at best to admit and offer to fix and then say never mind... what a joke read more

My step dad got into a car accident in November of 2021 and just the end of January 2023 he finally got his truck back. After over a year sitting at this shop. It was one things after another with what they needed to "fix" or they couldn't get the part. After a year of waiting for his truck to get back to him. After a day in a half of driving the check engine light comes on and he can't get it to pass smog. So had to take it back down. Then after all of this we notice the bumper isn't even put on right. It's super crooked. Also his hood won't shut correctly and he is worried it might pop back open when driving down the road. If this is a shop your car will go to after a car accident I really think you should run with your car or not expect it back in a year or longer. read more

To start, I've found reviews made by employees of this shop on Google and Yelp. Took my '14 Ford Focus to this business, based on their reviews, after backing into a pole. (Whoops.) I was able to make an appointment to take my car in on October 5 and after an initial inspection to the damages, I was told it should be completed by 10/28. Once my car was there a few days, I got a call from my estimator Austin A, who said additional damage was found with my suspension and wheel assembly and an additional 2 weeks were needed. I agreed and he kept some contact on a weekly basis but the delivery date of 11/11 got moved to the 14th, then the 15th, ultimately ready by the 16th. After getting my car home I inspected the repairs myself and found issues with the fitment of my lift gate, which was scratching the bumper, tail light, and support beam due to being so out of alignment. My brake light was installed incorrectly, without the lightbulb even being installed in the light housing, the light bulb was underneath the entire light fixture. Most importantly and disturbing was the fact that they had replaced the rear wheel with a wheel from a different year Focus; it was the wrong color, lug nuts didn't line up like the other 3 wheels, and the inside had been spray painted to match. Of course, the week after I picked it up was Thanksgiving and they had to order a new wheel so I wasn't able to take it in until 11/28. As of 11/30, a new hinge was required to fix my tailgate problem and was promised to be delivered the next day, 12/1. It's now 12/2 and I've been trying to get ahold of them for two days with no return call or text, or any info on when my car will be ready. The other managers Tyler, and Austin, have been absolutely no help. I will NOT be returning here for any future repairs and based on my experience I will be telling my friends and family to avoid the headache I'm currently going through with Caliber and go somewhere else. read more

My car is currently here waiting to be repaired. No one calls me with any updates on what is going on. The estimator handling my vehicle has never been available for me to speak to. My car has been here for a week and they haven't done anything. I've called almost everyday to find out what's going on with no real answers. I called today and was put on hold for an hour. I had to hang up and call back and speak to a manager just to find out that they ordered some parts and waiting for them still. I had previously gone to the schirra location and had a great experience. Schirra was backed up until the end of the month and I figured all calibers would be wrong. Boy howdy was I wrong. They took a month and a half to "complete" repairs on my car. And my car still isn't even fully repaired. My car went in with a 6-way power seat and now it's functioning as a 4-way power seat. After they broke parts on the seat that weren't even broken when it went in. If I could give zero stars, I would. They didn't even clean up the glass they claimed to have cleaned up. There was still broken glass all over the back seat of my car and over the mats in the back that I had to clean when I got the car back. This was honestly such a half assed job. I wish I could have gotten my $500 deductible back. The l my reason I went through them is because this is where my insurance took my car. I had to keep calling and calling sometimes up to give times a day to get through to anyone and get an honest and transparent answer. They treated me like I was just some dumb kid and were so apathetic each time I expressed my frustrations about the situation and kept dismissing my feelings about them breaking my seat when it wasn't even broken when it went in. And it still isn't fixed. Because I can't move the seat. I would take it back but unfortunately I don't even live in the area. My parents do. Which is why the car was there. I had to keep making arrangements to pick the car up each time they weren't communicative with me to drive from LA and then cancel the plans on three different occasions. And then I had to call the dealer to check to see if they placed the order for parts doe the car which they never did and they just told me were just back ordered and would take three months to come on. But the truth was that they simply never even put the order in with the dealer. Now o have to find a way to finish fixing the seat myself and shell out more time and money to drive comfortably in my own car. Worst service ever. read more

Although i settled on another shop, the customer service i received was extremely pleasant and i was treated like an actual human throughout the process! Robert, the gentleman that assisted me at the front, was very pleasant to deal with. I had let him know beforehand that I was only in for a quote because of my limited budget and it didn't impact the experience at all, I was treated the same as before. I was given some insight on how the process works with rough time frames and an estimate, which was very nice considering how other shops had treated me prior to coming here. They are still repairing my car so this review is not based on the workmanship. This is based on dealing with them and their lack of communication. The only reason I went here to begin with is because Allstate has partnered up with them. I will never again do business with these people if I can avoid it. It has now been over month since I was first in contact with them. It took over a week to get an appointment to get an estimate then approximately 2 more weeks for them to get the parts and get me scheduled for repairs. Through this process I called several times to talk the the gentleman I was dealing with and not one time did he return my call. Not once!!!!!! Every time I have to call back and call back again and again until I get him. My car was supposed to be done yesterday and it wasn't ready. Now it was suppose to be ready today. I wouldn't know it it is ready because again they will not call me back. Do not do business with these people! Having a accident and having to get your car fixed is stressful enough all by itself. Having to rely on a company that treats their customers the was Caliber Collision has with me is not worth it. Use a different auto body company, even if your insurance company takes a little longer to approve that. In the long run you will be much happier. I would like to add a quick update. The review I did about was on 2/5/20. My car was originally supposed to be done on the 4th. When I called for an update they told me that they were behind and it would be the 5th. When I called on the 5th they said it would be done on Friday 2/7. I talked to the general manager on the 5th and told him that I was not happy. He promised me that he would call me and keep me updated and I have not heard one word back from them. I guess if the management does not provide decent customer service and communication you can't expect any better from employees either. read more
