He could see I was visibly upset and gave me some great advice, which was to list it on craigslist as a car that could be rebuilt, rather than sell it to a chop shop which wouldn't pay more than a few hundred. Rick even went so far as to check to see if someone he knew (who was looking for a fixer upper for his daughter) would be interested. You don't get that kind of service many places). In the end, I placed it on craigslist and had two interested buyers within an hour. Ultimately, I ended up trading it in for 2k at a dealership which I put towards a new car. Then they tell me it's a sensor and made me buy a new one. Didn't fix anything. I have a GPS on my truck that I can track with my phone, they then took my truck for quite a long joy ride because apparently they didn't believe the documented photos I showed them of how often it regenerates. They couldn't get it to kick in so they tell me nothing is wrong with it. This place is a joke! Bring your truck elsewhere. Not to mention just because I bring my truck to a shop does not mean I want to be on their mailing list. I have been trying for two years to get off it. They seem incapable of doing that.

So while I wasn't as involved w/ that process, it seemed like everything was handled very well and it all worked out positively for us. Recently though, I had an issue w/ my 2005 RX330 where the top moulding was coming loose. It started to become a constant issue every time I'd take it through a car wash. So I ordered the OEM parts for it thinking one of the auto repair shops I use in Bend or Corvallis would be able to take care of it. They both said that wasn't something they could help. The guys in Corvallis recommended Main Auto Body so I started with giving them a call to explain what I wanted help with. They said I could stop by anytime and they'd give me a free estimate. So i few days later I was able to stop by, they were very friendly at the front desk, had me pull in to the covered area and then w/in about a minute, someone came out to see what I needed. The guy who helped me was super helpful. Checked out what I had going on with the old moulding and saw how i just wanted to swap out the old moulding w/ the new moulding. Then basically just took care of me on the spot! Got some cleaner to make sure the adhesive would take good, and took the time to rotate the moulding both ways to make sure we'd get the best fit possible (turns out there was a better way to do this). And then about 20 minutes later, we were all done! Said there was no cost! I was thrilled w/ that :D But more than the fact that he got me taken care of at no cost to me, it was the fact that he took such care in the process. I could have seen paying more to have a mechanic do this and if they didn't know what they were doing, i could see them just making an assumption. But here he took them time to really make sure he was getting everything lined up right, pressed in correctly, triple-checked everything. So he gave me the kind of value I'd expect if I were paying for top quality service, but w/out even charging me for it. Made me look forward to the next time I might need to use them for some other service. Really appreciated how they took care of me and would certainly recommend anyone needing their services to at least start w/ a call and see if they can help.

Then about a minute later the mechanic brought out a tool and after about 3 mins he had it pulled out and back to normal! No charge. When I picked up my vehicle on Friday, there were very visible tape residue marks, peeling tape lines, and bubbling/peeling clear coat in two separate areas on my front driver-side door. I returned the following Monday to have the General Manager, Ruby, inspect the issue. Instead of addressing the damage professionally, she attempted to use Windex to rub off peeling paint, which was both inappropriate and alarming. She was dismissive and rude, repeatedly implying that the tape residue existed before I dropped the vehicle off--despite the fact that a Caliber employee completed a full walk-around inspection with me prior to intake and documented all existing damage. Ruby did not greet me directly and spoke through the front desk employee despite standing only a few feet away. I was then taken back out to my car, where I had to argue--again--about whether the vehicle needed to be repainted or polished. I was told the process would take 30 minutes and that I would get my car back the same day. Instead, I waited two hours only to be told that polishing did not work and that the vehicle did, in fact, need to be repainted. At that point, Caliber kept my vehicle with no rental provided, as my insurance claim had already been closed. I was told the car would be ready by Friday. Shockingly, the shop kept my car longer to fix their own workmanship error than they did to complete the original insurance repair. I now have my vehicle back and have noticed a slight vibration while driving, raising further concerns about the quality of work performed. At this point, I would rather pay another shop to inspect and correct any remaining issues than ever return to this location. In conclusion: Ruby was unprofessional, unhelpful, and dismissive. Her conduct was completely unacceptable for a manager. I have lost all confidence in this shop and will never return, nor would I recommend this location to anyone.
