I stopped by Caliber Collision at 9131 Elkmont Way in Elk Grove around August 2024. I went there looking for an estimate to have front right fender damage to my 2005 Toyota Tundra fixed. Julio came out to take pictures of the vehicle and to begin the estimate. I went there on Wednesday, Julio told me he would have an estimate for me by Friday. Julio did not have an estimate for me by Friday. I called on Monday to talk to Julio. He advised he'd have the estimate for me by Tuesday morning. No estimate from Julio by Tuesday morning either. I called Julio again on Tuesday and he finally emailed me an estimate while I was on the phone with him. I asked him if it was possible to have all the parts ordered and arrive before bringing my truck in to begin repairs. He advised he would have to ask his manager and would call me back by the end of the day. Julio never called me back. I took my truck to 2 other top rated collision repair shops, both of the other repair shops gave me estimates while I was there and quickly. Julio NEVER called me back when he said he would, 5 or 6 times. It makes one wonder if all of their employees fail to do what they say they will. I took my truck to another top rated repair facility. Caliber Collision lost out on a $4,000 repair job due to Julio not doing what he said he would do. That was my experience. read more

One delay after another after another after another. They originally told me 7-10 days. Since I was going out of the country for 10 days, that would work out. 23 days later, they were finally finished!! When I originally dropped off the car, they said that they would waive my deductible. When I picked it up, they demanded that I pay the $1,000.00 deductible!! They said that they NEVER waive the deductible and that it's against the law. That was another lie. A friend of mine recommended them because they waive the deductible. When I told him what they said, he said that he won't recommend them anymore. I called my insurance company and they said that I have a deductible waiver on my policy and that they'll reimburse me and will remove Caliber from their list of collision repair companies. read more

mr/ms business employee, this should be enough for you to identify me and my visit to your shop. offline replies are not required; please feel free to respond here. first, i've carried auto insurance my entire (long) life and never filed a claim until now, so i went into this process assuming a mutual level of trust between me and my insurance company, and the people at the repair shops that represent them. i came away from the whole experience with a profound sense that my trust had been misplaced, and was not reciprocated. my appointment was at 8:00 am on october 1 at caliber collision elkmont -xd in elk grove. 'maria,' the geico lady didn't keep the appointment. 'don-not-the-geico-guy' looked the car over and took a few photos and recorded the mileage. said he didn't handle geico claims and would give the photos to maria and she would get back to me. then he bs'd me for about 20 minutes with nonsense statements like: 'i don't know if this is glass damage (covered under comprehensive) or collision damage from an accident.' 'i don't know if this part is available.' (they are readily available online) 'i've been in this business 50 years and i've never seen this kind of damage.' (it's common) for the record, the damage was the separation of the bond between the glass targa top from the frame that it sits in. it was caused by what i believe to be a section of buckled pavement on a rural road. it bottomed the suspension on the left side (witness a scrape mark on the fender well). this torqued the body enough to break the bond on the targa top (witness a letter from the manufacturer of the replacement top stating this is a common occurrence) and resulted in a blast of air coming into the car where the seal had separated. if don-not-the-geico-guy has really been in this business 50 years he'd be more knowledgeable about the dynamics of this type of impact and a little more open to the possibility that i have a valid claim. so don-not-the-geico-guy sent us home. clearly he didn't believe me. read more

I will continue to come back to Caliber Collision to get any damages repaired. My car was hit while sitting in a parking spot and I had to come to Caliber to get a estimate for the other persons insurance. When I was greeted by John I was immediately blown away by the customer service that I had received. He was very friendly and an awesome person to work with. I ended dropping my vehicle off to get my damages repaired at caliber a couple weeks later and John introduced me to Brooke whom took over my claim and made me feel very comfortable that my vehicle was going to be back to normal. When I came back to pick it up a week later I was really happy with the work, not only did they repair my vehicle back to normal but they went above and beyond with a complete detail it inside and out. I got my car back with extra damage and malfunctioning ECU that literally shut my car down as I was driving. Staff are unprofessional, rude and childish. After repairing my vehicle AGAIN to fix their own damages they asked me to sign off on said repairs. They attempted to bill my insurance company again for this as part of the original claim. I will be visiting my dealer for an inspection and informing my insurance company of their practices. They don't seem to think their customers are educated or capable of critical thought. Very simple review, we told them when we came in prior to work beginning that a 3rd party was going to pay for the work and damage being repaired on our auto, in fact, we told them that 3 times and confirmed it would be ok. They said yes, no problem. Well..... our car was ready today and guess what, no 3rd party payments. What? I asked to speak to a manager, who said the same thing. I asked why they told me they would accept payment from the person who caused the damage in the first place, and they said that we should not have been told that. I said great, how do I get my car now that you've said you would accept it, now you get to hold me hostage until we get a check, await clearing, and then pay you directly, another week without a car? What a jerk move from a manager of all people. Someone at corporate please demote this guy, causing you problems. Sad to lie and prey on people that way. We would have never left our car if we knew this in advance and you know it, that is why we confirmed with your office on 3 occasions. We could have, and would have, made arrangements to obtain payment in advance from the 3rd party prior to even having the work done if that was the case. *** UPDATE: Yes, believe this, we actually had the 3rd party paying offer to bring CASH up to the shop for payment, and they refused! Who refuses CASH? Maybe they want to pay for a rental until they decide to accept payment. read more

My wife's car was sent there for repairs and took 3months on top the fact that they disnt pay attention to the axel, the tire, a pullie on the motor and not doing a thorough job which could have resulted in a accident or worse. But today I am really angry for their payment service/ office manager. They made mistake regarding final payment and was going to me for collect. My car was broken into and the rear side passenger window was smashed. A friend recommended this Caliber Collision. The evaluation and estimate did not take long. Their estimate was cheaper than Safelite's estimate, so I decided to have them fix my window. The amount of time to fix and the cost were as promised. When I picked up my car, the window looked like brand new. I received professional and cordial service. I felt welcome by Arlynne at the front desk as soon as I walked in, and felt appreciated as a customer when I check out. I was told to take it to Caliber Collision to get repair from the other person's insurance after I was re ended. When I called to see when to take my car in, they did not give me the address. So I checked the internet for the address. I read the bad reviews on yelp. I told the front counter person when I arrived that she did not give me the address and she said it was her first week and forgot to ask me if I knew where they were. I appreciated her telling me she was new. I was given an estimate of how much had to be done by first inspection. I told them I knew that they would not know the extent until they took the rear bumper off. But even with the extra work they found after taking the bumper off they still got it done by the time they had said they would . It looks great now. I was also told that they gave a LIFETIME warranty on their work. That makes me feel very good. read more

Caliber is not a good shop. I just called USAA for them to get refund on the job you claimed you did. You are going to be inspected. People will find out you are a bad shop. I still have the car you messed up on. I will show them you painted over dirt and rock chip that got worse after painting over it. My daughter was rear ended last week. Damage to the left rear bumper and tail light, additionally, the rocker molding also fell off. Long story short, Geico was ok with repairing the bumper and tail light but balked at picking up the repair for the rocker molding. No amount of arguing shifted Geico's position, and they tried to imply that it was Caliber's work that informed their refusal. A long call with Maria Green the rep at Caliber yesterday, resulted in the rocker molding being taken care of by Caliber. Why you may ask? Because Caliber takes care of their customers, and Maria Green knows how to take customer support to the highest level, even after dealing on the phone with my cranky-old self. Wow! Excellent customer service! I was blown away with their customer service and professionalism at the Elk Grove location. I was a drive in with no appt as i had been referred to Caliber by Elk Grove Acura due to a minor issue with the body work of my car. I was greeted right away, explained my situation and immediately had a very courteous gentleman ( i wish i would have asked for his name. Ran over something on the freeway and was recommended this location from friends I wasn't sure on if I should go with insurance or how to handle this, I showed up and walked in not knowing this was a tow in center only but they listened to my story and said they could help me and take a look, long story short the damage to my Jeep was only cosmetic they came out and took only 5 minutes to wipe it off. They are ok....Work and paint was OK....Not a wow bc I had to point out a few things but nevertheless It is done now....... I have used Caliber Collision three times now for repairs on my '02 Tahoe, once at the Sacramento location and twice at Elk Grove. All three times were from accidents covered by the other drivers' insurance. Billing was handled smoothly and directly each time with no out-of-pocket expense to me. Customer Service has always been efficient and professional. I was contacted when needed, and when the job was finished. I got a rental car from Enterprise, who picked me up at Caliber Collision; and I was able to leave the car at Caliber when I picked up my vehicle. Caliber Collision's employee, (I don't remember her name), did a walk-around of the rental for me so I could just leave it there.
