I didn't realize AAA had an auto repair spot until my neighbor told me and took me there to do repairs on my Subaru. They did a diagnostic test per my request and emailed me a detailed report, along with pictures of their findings. I ended up getting my wheel bearings replaced, along with a wheel alignment which took care of the main concern of a humming noise. My vehicle is 13 years old, and this was the first major issue I've had. The rest of the items weren't pressing and I will do them later as money permits me. I will definitely use them again. In fact, they are within a 2.5 walking distance from me. They offered me a ride to and fro, but with the weather being nice, I opted to walk. Lastly, the customer service was top notched, and the prices were lower than 2 other places I went to. Check them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had--and I genuinely believe something shady is going on at this shop. It all started with the tow truck driver, who strongly insisted I bring my car here rather than the shop on Bruceville that I had used last year without issue. That already raised red flags, and looking back, I believe I was steered here intentionally. From the moment my car was dropped off, communication was abysmal. I had to call every time to get an update--no one reached out to keep me informed. Then, when Tenaya finally called at 11:25 AM to let me know my car was ready, I told her I'd be heading over shortly. At 12:05 PM, while I was already in the Uber, she texted to say the shop was closed for lunch from 12-1 PM. No warning of that earlier. I responded to her text right away saying I was already on my way. No reply. When I arrived, I was left waiting outside in the heat along with another customer (also arriving by Uber) who had the exact same issue--called after 11 AM, told their car was ready, and no mention of a lunch closure. Tenaya finally let us in at 12:45 PM, offered no greeting, and only responded when I voiced my frustration. Her apology was robotic, lacking any sincerity or accountability. When I explained my frustration about the poor communication, her response was: "I already apologized. I don't know what else you want. If you're looking for a discount, I can't do that." -- WOW. No, I wasn't looking for a discount. I was expecting basic, decent customer service--and I didn't even get that. To make matters worse, I was charged for a diagnostic and battery replacement, and I was never offered alternatives by the tow truck driver, who seemed insistent on funneling me here. It feels like a setup, and I have since filed a complaint with AAA. I don't trust this place, and based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone from taking their vehicle here. I took in my car to get service at AAA. I've been a AAA member for a long time and when I went in there, it was the engine light that just came on and he told me he would give me an estimate. How much would it be it started at 1050 I believe give or take And it climbed all the way up to $1339.53 in the beginning all he told me in needed spark plugs, one boot and escalated to replacing all the boots without my consent and he called me the next day he said it needed a coil and I told him is there anyway you can give me a better deal. He said I'm not the one who makes the prices, but I think I was way overly charged because I shopped around and I thought AAA as being a member will have your back, but that was not the case like I said I would never return to this the shop because they're really not upfront with you about it and also the staff is a little cranky if you're thinking of fixing your car anywhere think twice about this place they're not legit with their prices and also they left my car looking like shit grease all over on the inside. I've had my car service here before and out of all repair shops member or not, I've been nothing but satisfied with the experience. Not only do they not hassle you for the cost, but they very kind and respectful people who just want to help see your car running again. I'm a senior citizen, my positive battery cable was corroded plus terminal connection needed replacement. I'm a new member and was recommended by the Toll truck driver to take my 2013, Sportage Kia, to AAA Repair shop. I did but. I was blown away when I was told that my Positive Battery Cable needed to be replaced alone with the Terminal, It was going to cost $1,005.67 I was devastated. I told them that I needed to get another quote. I did had my car toll to Midas Automotive and they gave me a quote of $258.75 and of course I let them replace the battery cable and the terminal. Only took 2 hours. I'm happy my car is running great. I feel like I would've been taken advantage of if I didn't have sense enough to get a second quote. I don't trust AAA Auto repair shop. Took car in for struts. They left 3 nuts loose. The front end alignment had to be done twice as they left the steering wheel off center then after hearing a bad rattle in the back I took it back and they had not tightened the bracket down to the torsion bar. My tail light was out and I have a luxury car so repairs can be expensive but AAA made replacing the light a great experience! Eli, the customer care professional, was very friendly and accommodating. Their price points for parts and labor was fair and they did the job quickly and well! Never come to this shop. The workers have an attitude, they insanely overcharge, and they lack basic communication. I was towed there due to an issue with my alternator (already knew it was going to be that). I was told I could wait while they see what's wrong and run the diagnostic. I tell the front desk lady (Tenaya) I'm going next door to get something to drink and if they could call me when the diagnostic is ready that'd be great. She had an attitude and said "it's not going to be ready today, probably won't get done until tomorrow so I would arrange a ride". But you told me you were going to run the diagnostic today?? Later when I was leaving she then said she can finish the diagnostic if I want. I thought you were going to do that initially ?? They were trying to charge $1400 with parts, labor, and diagnostic. They were also trying to convince me to get it done there and not go anywhere else after not wanting to get it done for that price. They did knock down the price some which I was grateful for. Still not happy with their attitudes. Fast forward to the next morning, they called and said the car was ready and told me I also had a radiator cap is and it was going to cost 789.54. That is absolutely absurd. I told them I don't want that service done and I would be on my way shortly. I come to the store and they are closed. I and another customer are here waiting until they open the store. We received a text AT 12:05PM saying they are closing the store from 12-1PM for their lunch. I totally understand them needed to take their lunch breaks. However, if the shop was going to be closed I needed to be notified prior. Both of us were already almost at the shop by the time we received that message and also had obligations we needed to attend to. When she (Tenaya) comes back she opens the door and doesn't say anything to either of us. When we expressed that they could've communicated to us better she said "I don't know what you want me to do other than say sorry. I can't give you compensation if you were looking for that of some sort" I never asked for that so to imply that is wild to me. Just take accountability. So anyway I was frustrated to say the least. I had a check engine light. I know enough about diagnostic scan. I took my vehicle there & the customer service saw the check engine light. I was supposed to get a call at the end of the day. But didn't. No big deal. They're probably busy. No call the next day. So I decided to come. Customer stated their scanner DID NOT PICK ANY CODE & the check engine light was gone (they must've erased it). I bought a $20 scanner & the cheap scanner picked up the code. I am sure that their scanner is probably $5000 or more scanner. Why did my $20 picked up the code but their professional expensive could not? They LOST MY TRUST. I Paid $142 OF NOTHING FOR SCANNING. Already know they're not going out of business anytime soon. Big million or billion dollars company, not sure if my review matters. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this location! I keep coming back due to the location being so close to where I live, but this would be the last time! Horrible customer service, very unreliable information on when or how long they can take care of you. It's the same exact issue every-time I'm here. "Oh, it'll only be 1-2 hours" call back to see if it's done and it's a "yep, it's next in line, we value your this and that and it's working very hard on it" then now it's damn near closing "It's right on schedule to be up next" WHAT? Total of 9 hours?!? To fix/change a flat? Unbelievable! I would be ok if they're more transparent on how long it'll take or what they estimate, if they tell me it'll take all day and they're not sure when they can get me in, I can agree or go elsewhere. But it's a crap ton of leading you on, over and over... excuse after excuse! Very unprofessional, anything to get the sales through I guess. Once you agree it's like they have your car as hostage... can't give it back to you with a flat and can't release it due to it not being safe! Please go elsewhere and save yourself the headache! They Left my vehicle unlocked after it got towed in said it wasn't there fault given that the tow truck left it unlocked they left it unlocked over the holidays when someone broke in and was sleeping / urinating in my car and taking apart my steering wheel colum which then the ignition was bad they did not assist at all and they told me to call roadside assistance if I need help they would not help very much except to charge me hundreds of dollars to fix stuff instead of take responsibility and fixing there mistake they made on top of all this the urine left mold in my carpet now I have to spend 100+ dollars to get it clean read more

My vehicle ran hot and I had it repaired at the AAA Elk Grove location. Unfortunately it turned into a most disappointing experience. I was notified that my vehicle was ready for picked up. While at the facility, I noticed the check engine light was "still" on. I brought it to their attention and was advised it had nothing to do with the "reason" the vehicle was initially brought into their facility and that I'd have to pay AAA a second diagnostic fee. ***Side note, taking it to a different repair shop would have required a diagnostic fee as well***. So why not advise of "ALL" information when AAA contacts their customers regarding the initial concern? If a second diagnostic fee is required by AAA, let the customer make that decision to pay or not pay at that time; AAA already "has" the vehicle in their shop. So fast forward 4 weeks, the vehicle runs hot again and I had to have it towed. The AAA tow truck driver noticed the lower front grill was missing when he put the vehicle on the tow truck. The missing grill may have nothing to do with the vehicle running hot again, however it was taken into the AAA repair shop with the grill intact. I reached out to Gary @ AAA Elk Grove advising of the overheating and missing grill and did not receive a reply. Truly a most unprofessional, expensive and truly disappointing experience. read more
