Kelli was great! Fixed my car during a national car part shortage. Did extra small touch ups free of charge

Took my car in 8/3 for a quote, Kelli called me later that afternoon with a reasonable quote for the damage I done.

It seems I have a duty to write this review, to help others when choosing a body shop. I was rear…read moreended six months ago and needed repair work on the bumper, quarter panel and rear door, so I chose Gerber after several quotes because the office people seemed professional and knowledgeable. The repair work was actually pretty good, paint matching, body work, all seemed okay. The problem was a failure to *cross the T-s and dot the I-s*, as they say. After picking up my car, I was halfway home before I realized my rear windshield that needed replaced was not tinted after installation (all my other windows are tinted, and so was the rear windshield when I brought it in). While looking closely at it, I noticed the trim panels around the window were not even tucked in around it, either. Panel hanging down, and foam sticking out around it. It was a sloppy install, for sure. I called Gerber and they were apologetic, and said if I brought my car back in the next day, they would get the tint done. No problem. But, they were unable to authorize a second rental car for the day on my same insurance claim (I had just returned the rental car I had for several weeks during my car's repair), so I had to pay out of pocket for a rental and fight with the insurance company for weeks to get them to reimburse me. Anyway, window tint fixed. About two weeks later, I was wiping some leaves off the roof and noticed the trim panel on the roof (the one that covers the mounting brackets for the roof rack) was not fastened back down, and it just flopped all over the place....not sure how it didn't fly off while I was driving during the weeks before! They had not replaced the fasteners to hold it down. Called Gerber again, and they found some clips to re-install it, so I went back down there. Anyway, roof trim fixed. Fast forward to last weekend. Six months after getting my car back. I pulled on my rear door handle while the car was locked, and it opened anyway. After some testing, I noticed the power door lock was not functioning for that door, either with my key fob or the power lock switch, but it would work manually if I flipped the switch on the door. I didn't suspect it was an issue from Gerber's work 6 months ago, I thought maybe some part of the door lock was malfunctioning or something, so I looked up some info and prepared to inspect it. After removing the door panel, I quickly noticed the wiring connector for the power lock on that door was not plugged in, and the connector was actually tucked into the door itself (it's worth mentioning the plastic film inside the door was torn wide open and not replaced or even taped back up). Then it occurred to me....Gerber had failed to re-connect my power lock cable and my rear door had been unlocked for six months since I got my car back, because the switch was not connected. I sent an email to Gerber this week to let them know, and haven't heard back. I don't expect them to do anything about it now, but I felt I should at least let them know about this oversight. In the end, I won't be able to recommend this repair shop to anyone, there were too many issues of things not being handled correctly and "buttoned down" the way they should. BTW, there's also a weird rattle in the back of my car since the repair, but I don't have any proof it's because of something they did (though I suspect there's a 10mm socket rolling around in my bumper or something!). Please use this review to inform your decision when choosing a body shop.

Unfortunately you can't give below a one star review or i would. As another reviewer stated this…read morewas an insurance referred repair facility for me. If you have any options besides this one take it. If you are getting repairs done out of pocket i highly recommend researching others and not using this one. I had minor damages (car was parked on the road and a 5 mile per hour side swap from a neighbor's car) banged up my bumper and a little bit of the fender). I was originally going to get the replacement parts from either pick n pull for around $300 or buy brand new parts for $600 and just replace them myself but the other persons insurance company contacted me so i figured i'd just let someone else do the work. HUGE MISTAKE. They ended up taking the car for two weeks, i called a total of four times (2x each week) to get updates and i kept being told the technician was either out for the day or busy and would call me back. I never heard from anyone. The insurance company called me on the third week and said the quote exceeded the value of the car ($8,000) so they totaled the car. I believe it was an attempted auto body insurance fraud (inflating damage costs, billing for unperformed work or fake parts, and "burying" deductibles by shortchanging quality materials). Save yourself the headache, avoid this place.

They were prompt in taking my car apart and getting an estimate to the insurance company. They then told me it would be a few more days to get parts. When I was expecting a call to tell me my car was done, after about a week of it being at the shop, they informed me that they were unwilling to proceed with the repair, which I understand happens some times for various reasons. They then said that they needed a couple a couple days to put the car back together. After a couple more days I tried to call the shop. It was impossible to get a hold of someone. Your go through voice prompts, then when a human picks up, 3/4 times the phone wasn't working on their end. When the car was finally ready, I had to wait around for about 10 minutes for everyone to confirm that I didn't need to pay anything or fill out any paperwork, despite me double checking with the company before I left the house (and after multiple phone calls through the voice prompts and phone system not working). I wasted 2 weeks of my rental car coverage, plus about $55 in my co pay for the rental car, for the car to not be repaired. But I'm mostly giving the 1 star due to the incredibly difficult communication process
