Liberty Mutual told my parents they had to go to this shop to have their Catalytic converter replaced after we tried to go to a muffler shop. Everything was all figured out and paperwork done when I called them to let them know the car was on the tow truck on the way to their place. They told me without any questions that it could not come there and has to be rerouted to Sacramento. I told the tow truck to wait because they are saying they can't take it. After telling them this was already all discussed with us and Insurance and putting me on hold many times and talking to different people they say they could take it. I told the tow truck driver it was going to go so he put it back on. Then they told me they don't need the car just the Vin number so he was going to take it back off when the Gallardos guy said hold on and let me check and came back on the phone to now say they needed the car. At the end of the conversation (now after two long conversations and the car on its way) they told me that the car could be sitting at their place until November. It was July 22. I called the Insurance company and asked to have it moved to the Muffler shop we asked for originally. They said ok but I'm the meantime Gallardos told us we need to come get the car that very day they called becuase " they were not a car storage facility!" Wow! They just put me through all this mess ans never mentioned the car would be out of commission for up to 4 months and they couldn't wait however many hours it would take to get a tow? Horrible service. Will NEVER use them. read more

Great experience. While visiting home from college on winter break, our son's car was damaged when he swerved to avoided hitting a deer. Caliber Collision is also an Allstate-approved facility, which helped streamline the entire insurance/repair process. Nicole, the estimator, was very helpful, courteous and professional. Although his car wasn't scheduled to be finished in time for him to return to school (a 5+ hour drive away) we were happily surprised to find that their team put forth the extra effort to have it ready the day before he left. Reading these reviews I'm kinda stunned because my experience was the opposite.. First off ...front desk girls were the sweetest , big smiles and friendly .. Other employees passing by as well, maybe it's because I have super adorbs baby idk.. Joe was the one I worked with, brought my car in on Mon and had it back by Thursday , was quoted Friday (another bonus) and that was with a couple hiccups in getting a part and a headlight.. I was notified by Joe every time and also received text messages updating me on my car ... I even called last minute to ask something to be emailed to me and it was in my inbox next day.. Good job Michelle My insurance company also recommend them and I'm glad ...hopefully I won't see them again ;) but I will recommend Caliber Collision to someone looking for collision work... My adjuster Aaron kept me up to date the entire time they had my vehicle. When I was unable to pick up my vehicle before close they returned my vehicle to me, AND returned my rental. These guys are beyond incredible. I had a smashed passenger side mirror. Not a garden variety mirror, but the kind that is both electric and has a blind side detector and has a turn signal on it. Based on the Yelp reviews, I took my car to these guys and they didn't disappoint. The service staff is awesome and friendly, all of them - from the front desk to the people who do the work. When I dropped off the car, I was working on booking an Uber ride back to my home, but they said "no - we'll take you home". I couldn't believe it, because I live in El Dorado Hills! I spoke with the driver at length, he was also a body shop guy. He was a young kid, but he told me the best part of his job is making the customer happy and doing work on the car that really exceeds customer expectations. He told me how proud he was that this location ranked #2 out of 480 Caliber locations based on performance criteria the corporation measures all stores on. I was so impressed just listening to this kid glow about how he lives for the customer experience. It's clear they have a culture of performance, quality, and customer service that they hold themselves accountable to, from top to bottom in their business model. Raoul - an outstanding work order manager and body shop expert, who was my single point of contact throughout (they didn't keep dumping from one person to another) - told me that the fact that my mirror has two different colors of paint may mean that it'll take longer than a day to get ready. I told him I didn't know that and I was getting ready to fly out on a business trip and I really wanted the car back today. Guess what, he prioritized my work and got it done by 1:30PM on the same day! Not only that, but he washed and detailed my car so good that it felt like I was getting into the car for the first time again, brand new at the dealership when the car was still new. It even had the new car smell again. I was shocked. And I forgot to mention how I got my car back - they drove it to me! At 2:30PM, the car was in my driveway. And the work they did was flawless. Honestly, I think it looks better than before the damage. It just sparkles. Now here's the kicker: I don't even know how they made any money on this. I didn't negotiate or offer coupons or anything else. I just paid what they told me to pay (after insurance). The TOTAL bill (including my copay and what the insurance company pays) came out to $689. JUST the part was $452. I know that because I checked myself too. That leaves about $235 for them to pay someone to drive me home and then pay personnel to de-install my old mirror, paint this new mirror in two different custom colors that they had to create in-house, reinstall the new mirror - hooking up and testing all those electronics, wash and detail the car, and also have TWO personnel drive both my car and their own car out to my place to drop just my car back off, and then both employees going back in their own car again. I don't see how there was room for profit. I'm sure they were making SOME money, but let's just say that they must price aggressively and focus on lifetime customer profit instead of transactional profit. All that matters is I'm thrilled and they've got a customer for life. Who said all mechanics are shady? Kudos to one of the best run businesses I've ever encountered. read more

When my car was rear ended at a stoplight my insurance company recommended Caliber. They were able to get me an estimate appointment quickly and began work the following Monday. Despite paperwork postponing them starting (not their fault) they were done with my car by Friday. Some things that stood out to me as excellent service: Enterprise came to pick me up when we were still doing paperwork and refused to wait so one of Caliber's employees drove me to the Enterprise location. They kept in contact throughout the process. I was notified as soon as there was a delay. The ladies in the office were very sweet, asking how I was feeling and offering coffee and water. My car was returned to me clean and the repairs are undetectable. Perfect paint match. They offered to stay late so I could pick my car up when my work schedule interfered. Someone rolled over my red jeep car door that our mutual kids had laid in their garage. Their insurance company worked with Caliber Collision so that's where we took the jeep to get fixed. I really appreciated the communication with Jimmy during this not-so-fun experience. They did a good job with the color. They had some staff issues but, hey, that happens. Vehicle very dusty/dirty/ inside after repair (not before), lots of scuff marks on inside trim (outside had been washed). 3. New small dent on driver door caused during repair of rear bumper. Clearly, one of the workers in the shop new they hit the car, but turned a blind eye hoping I would not notice. In fairness, new dent was repaired at no additional cost. I work in the insurance industry and only knew Caliber Collision as a franchise of body shops, but when I needed my own vehicle repaired and found this particular shop on State Farm's Select Service program, I figured I'd try it out. I first called and Marlo greeted me on the phone. She very pleasantly and thoroughly explained how the program worked. She asked if I had 20 minutes, I could stop by and get a quick estimate so they would know what parts to buy in advance which would decrease the repair time. True to her word, I stopped on my way to work, Joe wrote an estimate, scheduled a repair date and sent me on my way all within 20 minutes. On the agreed date, Caliber arranged for a rental car (I have rental coverage on my policy). They promised the vehicle within 3 days. Joe kept me apprised on the status of the repairs. When he found hidden damage, he was quick to contact me to let me know that he would need another day. Throughout the process every staff member I came into contact with, was professional, friendly and instilled confidence in their ability to get my car back to pre-accident condition. On the day my car was ready, Joe called and told me the time I could pick it up. When I arrived, I found they had detailed and washed my vehicle. She sure looked purdy! I was quoted a 3 day turn time for my car repair after being involved in a rear end accident. My car was finished within a day and a half (so I could get rid of the dumpy rental) and Joe even helped me install the car seat. Car looks like new and they did a great job cleaning it for me. Can't say enough good things about the crew at Orangevale Caliber Collision. Not only was the repair work outstanding, but the Customer Service was extraordinary. We live in West Roseville. After the collision, our car was taken to the "wrong" Caliber Body Shop as directed by our Terrible Insurance Company. That's a different review. The "wrong shop" proved to be the RIGHT shop, thanks to Joe [estimator] and Jennifer [Manager]. When Joe and Jennifer assured us they would take care of us, they Meant It !!! After the work was completed they delivered the car to our home AND returned the rental car our insurance company had provided. We needed a little rework as a sensor in the rear hatch door did not perform "hands free". Joe then ordered the part from Hyundai and they picked up the car at our house and drove it to the shop for the fix. Wrong part. They brought the car back to us. When the correct part came in, they AGAIN repeated the pick up and delivery process. I called Caliber Collision Orangevale at 11 AM on Friday and had an appt to see Joe at 1:30 that day. I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted warmly by the office staff and Joe was all ready for me. He looked at my car, and within 10 minutes I had a printed estimate of damages and cost. I was able to get an appt to drop off the car at 7:30 AM the following Monday. I received a call early Tuesday morning letting me know that they had the car apart and there was some internal damage as well, which we expected. Original estimate of completion was 7 to 8 days. This morning (Friday) 4 days after I dropped off the car I received a call telling me my car was fixed, detailed, and ready for pick up. Amazing job! Worst service and team full of layers, charged my insurance company for a job that never been done

My car was hit by a woman backing out of a parking space. State Farm (her insurance) suggested these guys. They did good work on the body and paint, but they missed 3 things after having the car 2 days more than they planned - 1) there is still a bolt rattling around in the body somewhere after I told them about it right up front - 2) the sub-woofer was not wired back together correctly and cost me money to buy a part that it needed - 3) the door panel was cracked in 2 places. They were nice and friendly when I brought the car in and as they updated me along the way - but there is no WORSE offense than picking up your car, discovering it wasn't fixed right, and then having to take more of your own time to let them fix what should have been done right the first time. I had to take time out of my schedule to drive back to the shop and show them the damage they missed. Then, I had to take pictures and send those to them so they could order the right parts. I had to bring the car back AGAIN so they could install the door panel. I fixed the sub-woofer wiring problem myself, and that bolt is still rolling around in the body somewhere. I don't have the time or the rental car anymore to let them fix it. I forgot to add - when I picked up the car the first time, the Service Writer told me how important it was for me to give him a "10" on the survey I would receive by email. This from the guy who's supposed to quality-check the vehicle to make sure everything is done correctly. A "10" is hard earned. That employee needs to ensure the job is done right and the customer is satisfied with the experience. The opposite of those occurred here. Never again for me. read more

I cannot express enough how happy I was with their service. From the awesome girls that made me laugh at the front desk, to Raul the mechanic who had me cracking up my overall experience was beyond excellent. I was rear ended recently and the other insurance company paid for me to get my bumper replaced. Not only did Raul replace my bumper, touch up the paint, made my rims sparkly, cleaned the inside spotless, but it even smells great in here, and I feel so giddy! I feel like I got a brand new Charger! I was so happy I had to give him a hug Even knowing I didn't pay a dime and they had the rent a car guy waiting there for me so I didn't have to go out of my way at all for anything, I saw the price and it was not bad at all. A few months ago my car was broken into. My insurance company recommended Caliber Collision. My car was brought to Caliber. The deadline was met for it to be fixed, however, it was not returned to me in the fashion at which the vehicle was in prior to being broken into. Throughout my whole vehicle, I use 3m tint, and specifically requested it be the same, so my car is uniform. My adjuster at this specific location promised me my vehicle would be complete with 3m product. The company that Caliber contracted to do my tint however, did not use 3m, and use a no-name window tint that now has my windows green. I confronted the adjuster about this problem, and was told "I will figure it out and get back to you." I tried to give Caliber the benefit of the doubt and trust them, however that was over 2 months ago, and I still have not heard back. The body work seems to be decent, however that is because their shop personnel work hard, but I would not trust the personnel in their front shop at all. read more

They fixed the front bumper on my Honda Ridgeline. The bumper came loose, leaving a gap in the front side panels, they fixed it again in about 20 minutes, but a 3 day wait for a small part. fix lasted about 6 months, came loose again and they fixed it again with a 5 day wait for a part, but I had to call them and remind them to check and see if the part was in...it was, car repaired....fender panel has come loose again for the third time and I suspect the original repair may have been defective...I called again about getting it repaired, but now they don't return my calls...This is affecting the rhythm of my life. read more

I was very impressed with Caliber Collision in the way they handled my Silverado. I had some severe damage to the front and they didn't give up on trying to find a way to salvage its use for me. They spent a lot of time on trying to get to an estimate that would keep me below the "totaled" amount that would cause my insurance company to decline paying for the repairs. That showed me they were committed to trying to get me back into the favorite ride of my life. Their diligence in pursuit of the best available option for their customer was exemplary, it's worth mentioning that their office space is very welcoming and comforting with ESPN magazines and bottled water available for customers. The thing that pleasantly surprised me the most was their frequent electronic updates via email to keep me abreast of their process in analyzing my truck's condition. They have multiple locations in Sacramento which indicates they are a successful organization and their relationship with AAA (my insurance company) says a lot about the quality of their work. If I could vote for NO Stars it would be a -10. They have had our truck for over a month. Way longer than needed. No phone calls to update us, broken promises to have it done on a certain day. One excuse after another. Our Insurance also recommend this place to us. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS REPAIR SHOP.... WORST PLACE EVER.
