Brought my Lexus sedan in for a repair of a large scratch. The scratch was repaired in a few days and looked fine. But when we picked up the car it was dirtier than when we dropped it off. Then driving from the shop we noticed that the tail light was out on the side they repaired. They tried to claim that the light was probably not working when we brought it in. The car is new and light was working fine. Then we notice a small flaw in a finger print guard that was put on by a sub-contractor. The representative with whom we were working said they would take care of it. That was a few months ago and after many phone calls and in person visits, it has not been repaired. They did a great job promising the world for an expensive repair but when it came to a simple fix, they totally ignored us. They have signs in the shop of "Lifetime Warranty" and we couldn't get a minor flaw fixed! Good luck with anything more serious. read more

Such a wonderful place to bring my car everyone was so friendly and such a clean waiting area.

I was at a doctors appointment this morning. When I returned to my car I found that someone had scraped my left quarter panel leaving white paint on my blue car and then left the scene. I drove to Caliber Collision on highway 301 in Palmetto and asked for an estimate on repairs. They took my car around back and returned in about 10 minutes with all the white paint buffed out and my cat looking like new. They wouldn't take any money for the work. They could easily have written up an estimate and charged me several hundred dollars for a 10 minute fix. If I need auto body repair in the future I will definitely head back to CC. read more

Caliber Collison has had my car for almost a month, I was supposed to get it back Monday and they said they were receiving a part that day and it would bow be ready Friday, i received a text yesterday that it was now being accepted for frame damage, So if had been ready Monday would they have sent it ot with the frame damage!?!?! and why is it just now being expected for frame damage??? I would not rust this company and was forced to use them by Geico as this is an Xpress shop. Hopefully their work is better than their word. Caliber Palmetto, FL has had my vehicle for 34 days as of today 12/14/23 for a repair that was under $3,000. It was dropped off to them as I was in a wreck on my way to a Veterans Day event. After delays I was told my vehicle would be ready on the 6th, no call. Then tells me on the 7th "they are getting close'. Later on the 7th they told me it would be done on the 8th. I get there on the 8th and my vehicle was filthy. Hefty overspray over the entire bumper, overspray on both fenders, scratches on the drivers side caused by them by their own admission, paint lights on the hood in some areas, defects on the hood in other areas. So of course I decline to take the vehicle even after I drove 2 hours to their shop. It is now the 14th and my vehicle is still not ready. Enterprise calls me and tells me Geico stopped paying for my rental back on the 8th and they will now charge me retail. So I haven't had my vehicle for well over a month, have to pay retail for my rental car while Caliber fixes their subpar work and the damage they caused, and they tell me there is nothing they can do and their doing their best. The lack of workmanship and quality control is unbelievable!! read more

I had a horrible experience with this provider from start to finish. I was verbally accosted by the general manager. He caused personal issues between my family members and myself due to miscommunication between their place of buisness and my insurance company. The g.m. told my mother that he would personally handle me hinting that he would comit acts of physical violence against me if I gave my mother any problem. When all I was doing was listening to my insurance carrier they had extended my rental car for the rest of that week and told me to leave my car there so they can conduct theit investigation. The g.m. lied to my mother stateing she would be responsible for futher exspense for the car if it wasnt picked up. All lies furthermore my car now has more damage done to it by their handywork. I now have no windshild wippers and my headlights dont work. I WAS STOPPED AND GIVEN A TICKET FROM THEIR NEGLIGENT WORK PERFORMANCE. I SUGGEST IF YOU DONT WANT HORRIBLE WORK DONE ON YOUR CAR AND HAVE THREATS MADE TO YOU BY THEM FO NOT HAVE YOUR CAR REPAIRED BY THEM. read more

I had an accident in January 2019 and Caliber Collision was my insurance company's preferred provider so I really did not choose them. However, I cannot say enough about the service, courtesy and professionalism I received. My car was pretty badly damaged, and I did have to bring it back for further repair, but Jim and Matt were great! I got updates during all the time my car was in the shop, and I feel they did their best to get it done as fast as possible. This is my worst experience at having my vehicle repaired. The repair date given verbally did not match the estimated time I got after authorizing the repair. I was told that it would take a week for the repair and then got an e-mail saying two weeks. I called and told them that the two week date was not acceptable and they told me that that date was not the actual date and that I could expect the repair to be complete much earlier. I called on the fifth day of the repair and was told that the car was being painted and should be ready late Monday or Tuesday the next week. I went down to the shop on Monday only to find my vehicle still in paint and was told that it would be Wednesday. I called Corporate in Texas to complain about the times for the repair and was told that they were going to transfer me to Lee Marco - Southeast Manager but instead I got Chris from the Palmetto shop he said that they were down one tech and that was no excuse but they would have the vehicle ready Tuesday. I told them I would pick the car up Wednesday. I called Chris at 11:30 Wednesday and he told me that they were putting the back bumper on and it would be ready at 1:30. I told Chris I would pick up the vehicle at 2:00. I was there at 2:00 to pick up the vehicle but was told by Richard the they were putting on a few screws on the back bumper and were cleaning up the vehicle. I asked how long it would take and he said about 1 hour. Went back at 3:00 and the car was still not ready. 15 more minutes and I finally got the vehicle. They did Knock off 10% for my trouble The body repair and painting was great. If you've got plenty of time and want be disappointed in delays then have at it.... read more

I had a bad experience at Caliber Collision's north Sarasota location, so I took my car to the location in Palmetto. The work at Caliber's Palmetto location was exceptional. The paint matched up perfectly, and they restored my car to better than new. The service was fast and the people were friendly.
