What a professional team of people! After having a fender bender in a parking lot I went straight to Caliber Collision in Rancho Santa Margarita to get an appraisal on the damage. Ashley took the time and listened to me. I have a clean, but older car and not wanting my insurance rates to sky rocket I asked her for the best solution. I am writing to share my recent experience at your Caliber Collision location. While the initial drop-off was handled pleasantly by the manager Chad, the rest of my experience did not live up to your company's high ratings. I was called to pick up my vehicle, only to find that the repairs were incomplete and a panel was improperly installed. It was clear that no quality inspection had been performed before I was notified. When I rejected the vehicle on Wednesday evening around 5:00 PM, the woman at the front desk was dismissive and offered no apology, merely stating that the work had a lifetime warranty and they would call me. While I am grateful for the gentleman who eventually handed over the keys--who was very apologetic and professional--I am deeply disappointed by the initial lack of oversight. Insurance paid for this repair in full, and I expected a professional job from the start, not a rushed attempt that required me to reject the car. I hope you will use this feedback to improve your quality control and front-desk customer service. read more

I personally had a bad experience at this RSM location -- poor communication and lack of transparency. I have a Mercedes GLC with slight hood and bumper damage from a low-speed rear-end accident in a parking garage. I called ahead to schedule an appointment -- they knew the make and model of my car and all other relevant details. I live near Costa Mesa, but I chose this location because I had heard it was one of the "better" Caliber locations. When I arrived, Eddie and his manager assisted me. They informed me that since it's a Mercedes/European car, it wouldn't be repaired at their location -- instead, it would be sent via truck to the Costa Mesa location. This made no sense to me, and I was frustrated that no one had mentioned this earlier. I could have just dropped the car off at Costa Mesa myself, especially since I live nearby. Still, I remained flexible and figured at least I'd be working with the RSM team -- particularly since the Costa Mesa location has terrible reviews. After I signed all the agreements and forms, Eddie told me the car would be transferred the next day and that someone from Costa Mesa would contact me. I asked for clarification: Won't you be working with me on the repair? He said no -- once the car leaves, the RSM location is no longer involved, and I would deal directly with Costa Mesa from that point on. So, why wasn't this communicated to me ahead of time? It was completely pointless to drive to RSM just to have my car shipped to a location I had purposely tried to avoid. The entire experience at RSM was confusing, and there was a clear lack of transparency. I had to initiate every question, and it felt like they weren't being honest about the process from the start. As for the Costa Mesa location -- it was indeed a nightmare. Cory Nguyen was extremely dishonest. We ultimately paid $500 out of pocket just to have our car reassembled so we could pick it up and take it elsewhere. They told us it could take two months to repair, and that we'd have to leave it there the entire time while waiting for parts, along with several other questionable practices during the quoting process. So thank you, RSM, for absolutely nothing. I strongly recommend being more upfront with customers -- especially when their car will be transferred to another location. That's a basic expectation. Let me know if you'd like a more formal or toned-down version -- or if you're planning to post it as a review and want it adapted for Yelp or Google. read more

From the moment I dropped it off, the staff was professional, organized, and upfront about the process. I dropped off my Honda Civic Si 2015 after Having a front end collision 02/24. First of all they didn't meet my expected time date. They kept telling me That the technician was Having a hard time. They didn't fight for me for shit. They are really bad people here are this shop. Won't even help you get a ride home in the rain. I told the lady about my gears and she said it was wear and tear on my car I took it to Honda dealership and they found 2 loose bolts where my clutch pedal was at. My car was recently broken into on the drivers side window. I called to schedule work with this location & had an excellent experience from speaking with Tasha and the having John be my point of contact. Even though it was a stressful experience having my car broken into and all my belongings stolen and needing to rent a car for 4 weeks. John did everything he could to help me through the experience with peace of mind. When the shop received the replacement glass window, they received damaged pieces two times-glass is sensitive & can break easily. John made sure to find another vendor that was able to replace the glass. It required more time, however it was worth to me to have the job done well the first time & to be updated throughout the process! John needed to work with the local Santa Margarita Toyota dealership yo take care of my keys & reprogram them.
