My journey to this place happened when AAA gave me the name of the body shop they work with. They had a 4. 3 review, it was close to my home. I then did my own research... found this place that was a 4. 7 (a little closer to 5 stars) on another platform (not Yelp). It is 40 miles from my home and my journey began. I was welcomed by the nice receptionist in the office Janeth. She right away called Fred to help with an estimate. He introduced himself to my partner and I and explained the process and took pictures of my vehicle, explained that once they take out the part and look inside that's when it's determined how long they labor and all work would take. I went to pick up my rental which was a block away. It took 3 weeks to get my vehicle back and even though it was a loooong three weeks their work was amazing! Like new! I called 2x a week to check up on the progress and what was great was that they sent me a link so I can see the stages of where they were working on my car. Any questions I had Fred answered, he is knowledgeable about what he does. Once I received my car I was impressed on the work they did. Fred mentioned that he was able to get original parts from Toyota so it literally is like if the accident didn't happen. I told him thank you and Janeth for also reassuring me of the progress and paperwork needed to be filled. They gave me lifetime certification on the paint if anything were to happen (chipping, peeling) I can return it with no issues. I'm so glad I did my research and took my vehicle to this business, doing my research on Yelp and other platforms paid off. I've never written a review about anything before but my experience here was exceptional! Listen, Jerico is the man! If you want something done right and even better than that, free of anxiety, come pay him a visit. My windshield was broken, my side car panel was completely dislodged and had to be replaced, my rear windshield wiper was oxidized and missing having spent some snow time in Utah, and a whole myriad of other issues, but Jerico brought back this baby looking brand spanking new. I was constantly updated when parts came in and how the repairs were progressing. Small things but they go a long way. Quality of the work was not great. There was overspray and a "temporary" piece put on the car that they were supposed to replace. It's been a year and I have yet to see that. I called twice and no return calls. Terrible customer service and a job that was paid for in full but never complete. I do not recommend this body shop. read more

I got rear-ended on the freeway. This shop is an approved repair place for those with Mercury Insurance so I found myself and my crumpled Honda CRV here for some fixing. Within a few minutes after reporting my accident to Mercury, Fabricante called to set up an appointment to have my vehicle looked at for an estimate. The receptionist was extremely courteous and pleasant. Steven closely examined my car, took photos and gave an estimate; a few days later I dropped the car off. Over the next few weeks they kept me informed of the progress via text and phone calls although communication was much better at the beginning of the process. After one week they told me it would take an additional week and at the end of that second week they told me it would be yet another. I understand estimated time can change if new repairs are unexpectedly discovered but this created some inconveniences (primarily far more out of pocket for my rental car than I expected)...but what can you do? I have no complaints about the work done, they did a fine job with the body work. I appreciated that they washed the car and attempted to clean the interior (but did a lousy job - gritty dust created by the work still covered most of the interior). Although I hope to never have another collision or body damage I wouldn't hesitate to bring my vehicle here again if necessary. read more

I don't write reviews unless I feel they are truly warranted, nor do I assign stars at random. In this case, a FIVE star review is WELL deserved. I chose Fabricante partly because it was on the short list of shops sent to me by my insurance company (although I could have chosen ANY shop), and because I read numerous positive reviews from people who had already had work done there. So... step one... Suzie and Marissa handled the paperwork and communication with my insurance company quickly and efficiently. Though the final bill came to more than the original estimate (from the 'online' insurance adjuster), that was to be expected, and none of it was my problem. They took care of submitting the supplement for payment. Note: They are also being responsible business owners in terms of wearing masks, and requiring customers to do so. Step Two: the repair. A cabinet had fallen on my aging but pristine Sonata's hood, knifing a dent into the raised edge. (She looked wounded!) But, in only a few days, the repair was complete and you would never know the damage had been there. They had my car done on time. Step Three: A little follow-up needed. Okay, no one is perfect, and as it happens, I noticed as I drove home that there was some overspray on the windshield. Further examination showed a little in a few other places. I called and was told to come back as soon as it was convenient for ME, and they would make it right. Well, they did. Derek looked it over and apologized for the error and said he would need the better part of a day to completely clean various surfaces, then clay, and wax again. I dropped it off, talked to Eric, and he called me earlier than I anticipated, and the result.... GORGEOUSNESS. The glittering red of my "Ruby T. Sonata" sparkled in the sunlight. Lastly, I would recommend Fabricante to all. They are certified to repair all sorts of makes and models, including high end, technologically advanced ones that are obviously way more expensive than a Sonata. But they treated my beloved car like royalty, showed an eagerness to get things right, and demonstrated true awareness of customer's feelings... and that matters to someone who loves her car. read more

I am truly not sure how this body shop has such stellar reviews. Perhaps I am simply the most unlucky customer to ever walk through their doors but here is a following of my experience so far. TL;DR: People there are nice enough but the lack of communication with me and their own internal team is shocking. Delays are never communicated and the staff disappear for weeks at a time. My case with them has been ongoing for almost 2 months now, and counting. My first interaction with Fabricante started Feb 16 or 17 when I called to schedule a time to have them appraise the damage to my vehicle. I chose them because they're very highly regarded by my insurance company AND they appear highly reviewed. They told me the earliest they can fit me in was Feb 22nd (or thereabouts, I can't remember exactly) and they had no earlier slots available. That's fine, I figured they're busy because of how good they are. I show up and get the repair quoted. My case is handled by Fred who was very nice and put together an estimate that he said he would email me later that day. I receive the quote, compare it with a few others and decide to move forward. I email Fred back on 2/24 (Friday) and receive no reply. I follow up by calling the office on Tuesday 2/28 and Thursday 3/2. The front desk lady assures me that Fred will get back to me. He does not. I call again on 3/3 and I'm informed that Fred had met with some sort of accident and had not been into the office all week. I feel bad for Fred but my case should have been handed off WAY earlier, in my opinion. Steven picks up my case and moves my quote forward. I get an email later in the day (3/3) that parts were ordered for my vehicle and they'll wait for the parts to arrive before I drop off my car. Since my vehicle is still drivable, it's a good deal. The parts take a while to arrive but Steve gave me a call when they did and we scheduled a drop off time. I left my car with them around 4/3 and into repair it goes while I get a rental that my insurance covers for 30 days. Steve calls me about a week later saying that some more parts need to be ordered since they were missed in the original appraisal. No big deal, go ahead and order them. Fabricante uses a text system with carwise.com to update customers on the status of their vehicles. I get a text on 4/10 that the OEM has not provided an ETA for when parts will arrive, however, I get a text on 4/13 that the vehicle repair is scheduled to conclude on 4/28. Excellent, I have an anticipated completion date and assume that this update only came because they now have some sort of tracking - boy am I wrong. I get additional text updates on 4/14, 4/17, 4/18, AND 4/24 that they're on track and if there's ANY delay they will contact me. Of course I get one more text on 4/27, the day before completion, that the finish date has been moved from 4/28 to 5/05. I'm PISSED. I had already scheduled the day off. I call them to find out what's going on. I'm told that Steve is out of the office and that he'll call me back. He does not. Today is Monday, 5/01. I FINALLY get a call back from Steve. Not because he took the initiative to call me back, mind you. Only because I called the shop again. I'm informed that he had been on medical leave for the last COUPLE OF WEEKS (WHAT!?). While I'm sympathetic to his situation, I cannot believe the lack of initiative or this company's inability to cover or have processes in place to make sure customers are taken care of while their employees are out of the office. It is absurd to me that the person handling my case can be gone for weeks and my case is just AWOL and not being handled in any way. I'm informed that the parts will not arrive until NEXT MONDAY 5/08 and that if all goes well the vehicle will be completed 5/12. My rental coverage only lasts until 5/03 so I'm going to have to figure out alternative modes of transportation after this. At the end of the day, the OEM parts are the limiting factor for the repair time. This review is not based on Fabricante's workmanship, its' timeliness, or its' friendly staff. This review is a reflection of the internal process, or lack thereof, of the company that's supposed to ensure that customers are kept appraised of the status of their vehicles AND to pick up the slack of employees who have unexpected leaves of absenses. It is wholly unacceptable that an employee can be gone for a WEEK, let alone MULTIPLE WEEKS, where the customer is just left in limbo. I want to like this shop, the people seem friendly and my interactions with them have been genuine, but my god am I annoyed by how my case seems to have fallen through the cracks. I hope that no more of their guys get injured or sick, for their sake and mine. read more

Alex Gaytan was friendly, professional and kept me updated on the status of my car. He explained that there could be more damage, but that until it was taken apart, we wouldn't know. The dealer didn't want to touch it. So here is where my challenge changed from frustrating to awesome! The front office was very helpful. The manager was great and took on the task. They did the job above and beyond what I ever expected! No damage and no sign the stickers were ever there! I couldn't be more impressed with the whole experience. After getting some scratches on my car in a parking lot incident, I contacted my insurance company. They had NO "approved" auto body shops that would work on my car (Land Rover) in all of San Diego County or Orange County. They referred me to a shop near LAX (2-3 hours away). I called the local SD dealership and they referred me to a shop near my home. The insurance company would not approve the quote (the insurance company employee in Texas did a quote by photographs). An OC dealership referred me to Fabricante Auto Body. I was able to get an estimate appointment within a few days. Fred greeted me at the shop. He explained the process clearly. Though they aren't an "approved" shop by my insurance carrier, he said he has access to their system (by using the estimate I had previously received). I was able to get my car in for repairs quickly. The repairs were initially expected to take 7-10 business days (due to potential part delays). I dropped my car off on a Monday and I received a call on Thursday that the car was ready! I highly recommend this shop. I received daily text updates on the progress and was treated well. Fred was able to work with the insurance company directly so that I didn't need to get involved/frustrated. read more

So when my wife clipped the mirror on her Audi Q5, leaving the mirror body loose and the mirror dangling, I said just take it over to Fabricante, If anyone can fix it quickly it will be them. I highly recommend this place. I forgot to do the review right away but I didn't forget how great Joey Gomez treated us. My husband was upset after the first paint on the bumper of his car. He kept on complaining when he look at his car on certain angle. The color was totally off. After couple of years I finally went back to Fabricante auto body. I told them the problem and Joey was totally cool. They repainted our car and cleaned it and made the little scratches disappeared. They did a great job. Perfect! What really made my experience amazing was Joey Gomez, one of the sales representatives who kept me informed play by play. Returned calls when I was unable to reach him, and initiated contact without request nor hesitation to ensure things were moving along. It could have taken a year (which it didn't!) and I would have thought it was a couple of weeks as he walked me through the details and was very knowledgeable and technically sound with details and status updates. I brought my car through the insurance for repair on 5/28th and took 5 days to repair and everything has started well until the end except we had been promised for partial refund on our car rental fee which was really nice of them to offer help since my insurance wasn't cover ours and we have not got it yet which is almost a month . also, there is rear bumper tow hook cover eye cap that was loose and it fall and now it's missing. The bumper black color has changed to almost gray which also wasn't like that before and It used to be all black . Tried to keep on hold to our person but it seems they have been busy with their other clients to respond back us regarding our matters. I would be more happy to bring the car back for technical review and check the issue also get the respond regarding our check. read more
