Stopped at Rickety Cricket Brewing Co. in Kingman, AZ on our way back from the Grand Canyon, and it turned out to be the perfect dinner stop. We dined outside on their large open patio, which had a relaxed and comfortable vibe, exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. I ordered the Caesar salad topped with chicken, fresh romaine, shaved Parmesan, crunchy croutons, and a solid dressing. Simple but well done and the portion was HUGE. For drinks, I had a Prickly Pear Margarita, which was refreshing and had just the right balance of sweet and tart. My sons ordered the Sud Soakers personal pan pizzas. My oldest got the Carnivore which came loaded with house sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, and bacon. It was rich and hearty without being overwhelming. My youngest had the Margherita, which was light and fresh with house sauce, fresh mozzarella, basil, and sliced tomato. My husband ordered The Bichen Burger, which definitely lived up to its name; lettuce, tomato, pickle, mayo, pepperjack cheese, grilled jalapeños, and their signature "bichen sauce." It had a nice kick and was packed with flavor. Overall, it was a perfect stop: great food, generous portions, fun menu, and a really nice outdoor setting. The new location has an open space with a huge patio , we visited last Saturday and a beautiful day for beer , we ended up sitting inside at a table . Located in historic downtown Kingman right off Route 66. We stopped by on our way back home to Vegas for a quick bite. Unfortunately they only had 1 waitress for the whole place inside & out! We were there almost 1 1/2 hours for a drink and 2 personal thin crust cold pizzas. There was no chance we could have got it remade...we didn't even ask. We just ate a couple cold pieces and boxed up the rest ourselves to take home. It's too bad they didn't have adequate staffing because the cold slices we did eat were actually tasty but I have no desire to go back and try it again. We ended up here on a Friday night as we passed through on the way to Vegas. RCB is in the downtown entertainment district along with many other vibrant businesses. The ambiance is super laid back industrial. There were many folks with kids and dogs throughout. The vibe is also super young and hipster. I detected a few wasps of ganja while we were at the bar. The servers were very friendly and the bartender had a great attitude. We had wings and pizza. I would pass on the wings again, but we thought the thin crust pizza was spot on. It came out hot with a mix of crispy and chewy crust. Just Right. Cocktails were basic and not executed properly but they were cheap and used good hooch. There's also new loyalty rewards pricing if you sign up (totally worth it). They've also simplified the personal pizza (Sud soaker) so if you want to get a specialty pizza at a personal size it's a flat cost of $15 - as always service was excellent and the new happy hour menu looks good. Stopped by on our way back home to Cali. Glad we stopped, got a personal pizza and it was really good. Pepperoni, fennel sausage and jalapeño. Made to perfection. Beers were pretty solid as well. First, I'm on a road trip from the Verde Valley...looking to get away for a few days and Kingman has been on my list. I've had my Yelp Kingman collection for a couple of years and Rickety Cricket was on it from the beginning. Old town Kingman is basically a one-way street and RCB is at the end. Large warehouse, industrial styled with plenty of seating and bar space. You can see the entire brewery vats and I love the openness. I arrived around 1 and was surprised to see they have an amazing happy hour from 11-3 which includes food/pizza/drink options. I ordered the Sudzsoakwr pizza with fennel sausage, roasted peppers, mushrooms and olives. Also had a nice selection of beer - the west coast IPA and then a beautiful "guest" tap apple cider....O M G! Staff is friendly and accommodating, location is easy to find and parking plentiful. The pizzas are delicious and the menu also features smash burgers and other basics. Service was very proactive and attentive, yet casual. While the pizza remains as good as ever--definitely a highlight--these changes make it harder to justify frequent visits. The food now is solely pizza with a few appetizer choices that include a few nacho choices and a salad or two. I do miss the burger but the pizza is delicious so as long as the whole group is good for pizza you will be fine The cost-cutting measures, like plastic silverware, paper plates, and packets of salt, could be overlooked given the casual vibe. However, the lack of sports on TV--especially during football season--is much harder to ignore. It is certainly a cost and I can understand that but beer, pizza, and cartoon? For a brewery, not showing even local games or anything beyond screen savors feels like a big miss and takes away from what could be a lively and inviting atmosphere. The server Hannah was amazing and you could see her rushing around busting her butt and being a real credit to the location. She was able to handle a ton of tables and you never felt as if she overlooked you. She certainly raised my ranking.. Overall, Rickety Cricket still delivers great pizza, and great service, but the higher prices, reduced amenities, and absence of usual brewery entertainment like "cable" will most likely have us looking elsewhere. Very casual dining (think paper plates/ forks) They have several dining rooms, a plethora of outdoor patio picnic tables and some bar seating. They had outdoor patio games and live acoustic music the day we were there. The beer is great, I had scotch ale and hubby loved their hazy ipa (they make several ipas) We loved the concept of spent grains to make their dirty dough pizza crust, special pizzas. This time we ordered the hand tossed Jersey girl, which was fantastic, great as far as amount of sauce, cheese, toppings and that ricotta whipped as a topping, like whipped cream, lol, it was crazy tasty. My husband and I visited this restaurant on Sunday, anticipating a pleasant lunch as we had enjoyed on previous occasions. This establishment has typically been our go-to-spot when passing through town, in fact it was recommended by another local business owner. Unfortunately, this visit did not live up to our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we noticed the staff was inattentive. It took nearly twenty minutes to get a server's attention. When the bartender finally approached our table to take our order, we learned there was an issue with the fryer, and the menu was limited to pizza, salad and desserts. Despite the restricted options, we placed our order and expected a quick turnaround, especially since we ordered a salad, which should not take more than ten minutes to prepare. However, we waited forty-five minutes for our food to arrive. When the pizza was finally served, we discovered the crust and edges were burnt. We asked for a replacement, but the server responded with an unfriendly attitude and left before we could finish explaining the situation. About thirty-five minutes later, the cook personally brought out the pizza, apologized for the issue, and offered an explanation. No explanation could justify why a chef would consider serving burnt pizza to a customer. It seriously raised the question - would you serve such a pizza to a friend or family member? Throughout our meal, the service remained disappointing. The bartender came over as we were finishing our meal and apologized for the long wait and lack of service and took care of our bill for us, we still offered a tip to him because he was the only one that really showed some service and empathy. We honestly really like the food here, but the service is terrible. The owners needs to get it together and hire more staff and train/retrain your staff with customer service etiquette. read more

I've been tagging along on my fiancé's work trips to Kingman and we always like to try new places. A quick search brought up Rickety Cricket Brewing, which as a fan of Always Sunny in Philadelphia I was immediately intrigued. The reviews and photos confirmed that this was the next spot to try! We arrived around 6 on a Wednesday, so it was pretty quiet with a handful of other tables. We initially sat at a table in the bar, but the bartender mentioned there was a dining area in the back with air conditioning, so we decided to move. The decor was fun, lots of posters of their craft brews and the music was amazing- a mix of classic rock and reggae. Our sever was friendly and attentive. She let us know about their Wednesday special, which is $5 for beers and margaritas. We decided to try the huckleberry margarita and when offered to make it a double for $2 more we couldn't pass it up. The drinks were refreshing and subtly strong, but definitely lacked true huckleberry flavor. I'm from the Pacific Northwest, so I didn't have high expectations of finding authentic huckleberry flavor in the desert. We were informed that they no longer have their food truck, which meant they didn't have their burgers and sandwiches. Not an issue for us as we came here for the pizza. We started with an order of the Frum Unda Cheese Sticks, which we expected to be like mozzarella sticks, but were actually cheesy bread with a yummy beer cheese on top. The marina was delicious and offered a reprieve from the indulgent carb load! When we saw the jalapeño pineapple pizza we had to get it as that is my favorite- I made it cool before it was cool. We did ask to hold the ham as we are vegetarian. The crust was crispy and had a caramelization. The one ding was there could have been more jalapeno, we had to add quite a bit of red pepper flake to increase the heat. My fiance said the pizza "was fire" though. Stopped in for lunch after seeing the Route 66 Museum, Super fun looking Brewery with an outdoor area and seating on the front patio also. Place was clean and the Bartender was super helpful and friendly my Husband got a flight so I could figure out what beer I wanted she came back right away and I ordered the anaconda it was quite tasty. Don't come here if you're looking for a sports bar. It's labeled as one but all the TVs are playing cartoons or cooking shows. We were trying to watch the Colorado game. We asked the waitress if we could get one of the TVs changed and she said no. And wasn't helpful in trying to help us. If she was just friendly we would've grabbed some food to go. This was our second visit to Rickety Cricket - The first visit was in 2021. We enjoyed the experience so much the first time, we had to come back on our way to Scottsdale from Las Vegas. We ordered the house salad and "dirty duh" style pizza, Prickly Pecker, which had blue cheese, red onion, chicken, prickly pear BBQ sauce, and Nashville hot sauce. All the food was delicious! I was pregnant on this trip, so unfortunately, I couldn't have any of the beers, but my husband got Aiming Oil, and he very much enjoyed it. The service was good - we sat at the bar and they also had live music at the time of our visit. My only complaint is that all the doors were open and it was pretty hot.
