I must say before writing my past experience from last year that you can take into consideration other's experiences but you don't know until you give yourself a chance to have your own! I am truly grateful for the amount of empathy and compassion these people have, I value and appreciate the way I have been treated here that's on the top of my list when it comes to ANY type of business. I have had a cleaning, I got my oral surgery referral here and everything from day one has been excellent! From the quick entry to answering my questions about whatever I was concerned about and the professionalism of the staff here is just amazing. I cannot boast enough about the quality of people in this establishment! So to my last dental visit and up until now, the consistency is there the care is there and the fact that I don't feel uncomfortable in any aspect visiting is something I would like to share. Do Not Use This Business!!! They don't answer the phone, return messages or answer emails. My daughter had her last visit in June to adjust her braces. The last 2 appointments I've had to drive down there in person. Just ended an 11 minute phone call seeking the office manager who's on a phone meeting and she'll call back. Yeah sure she is. Now I need to waste more of my time filing a formal complaint with the CA Dental Board. Part of our pricing was the 2 years of adjustments. Seems like they are more concerned with new patients and collecting that $4k up front than finishing the maintenance on their older clients. Reminds me of most attorneys. I had to get external fillings since I have really deformed teeth since I was like, born like that. It fell out twice and Dr. Rodriguez didn't even do his job by actually looking in the back since the whole filling came out too. I thought he would notice because the pediatric dentist I used to used to pull out these weird mirror things, and they actually looked around to see if the rest of your teeth are also causing problems too. I also got crowns from Calidental and one of them has an indentation that is not supposed to be there. I really wish I could get a refund, since my family is struggling financially and we haven't been able to get good dental care around here. I know it's not cheap, and it's not supposed to be cheap but the assistants and doctors there just do a shabby job on your teeth since they always have a bunch of patients coming in. I broke out in a sweat when I saw a 2.5 stars for this dentistry. However, my care here was pretty good! I think most of the reviews are issues people have with their own insurance companies and not receiving health care needs due to that reason. I got to my appointment on time and was greeted at the front desk. I gave them what they needed and I sat down and filled out some paperwork. After I turned it in, I was called in immediately and was taken to my section. (The office layout was different to what I have seen previously.) My dental assistant was accommodating and caring. She took 18 x-rays and made sure I was comfortable/asked if I needed a break. My dentist, Dr. Kim, came in and answered all the questions I had for her. She did a routine checkup and cleaned my teeth. She also gave me some good advice and I was sent on my way back to work. The whole thing was a quick and easy process. read more

Started going to Cali Dental about a year ago, a few months ago I chipped my front tooth (k-9). Well I went there to get it fixed. After they did whatever they did ( I thought they had fixed it) at least that's what they said. So, three days after both fillings fell out and I had noticed that they had filed my two teeth down a bit. So now I have two 1/2 teeth. So the chip that I did is now twice the size. LOMPOC OFFICE IS COMPLETELY DISCRIMINATORY AGAINST ANY Particular person they might come across that could possibly know what they're talking about because this is the most unprofessional and shockingly ignorant staff of rude all Hispanic btw not one other ethnicity works there in the front end of this horribly rude office. My insurance was taking along time to approve a root canal and cap and so during the appeal process, the front staff made me several appointments in which I was completely unaware of. I was so excited when I finally received approval since your front tooth is pretty important and I'm Completely embarrassed and upset about having to walk around like this for months now, but as I brought the paperwork from CenCal's they told me it was my fault for the appts I never made being missed and i couldn't be scheduled on the calendar and I had to call and beg daily until they "had a cancellation" aka felt like being humane and fitting me in after over 9 months of waiting they've ruined my career my entire self esteem and should all loose their jobs, Oh and they refuse to give me my paperwork from my insurance to take somewhere else and since I did all of the appointments prior to this visitor everywhere I go I have to start all over which takes more time away from me and my horrible issue with one of my most important cosmetic dentistry issues ever. Besides the ft. Office telling me they couldn't see me for a week because they couldn't verify my insurance I'm assuming was due to lack of experience in the job roll. Which left me absolutely distraught... When I was in tremendous pain due to a tooth cracking, ANYWAYS when I was called back for my appointment the dental hygienist and Dentist were absolutely amazing! I like their orthodontist but all of their assistance and front desk personnel should be let go and replaced with quality people. Orthodontist services are only available on Mondays and Wednesdays so rescheduling appt is not convenient. read more

My God these guys are amazing. Especially in a time where it can be hard to get reasonable estimates with and without insurance, I have never seen an office do a better job at providing the quickest appointments and fairest prices. Not only that, but their staff is absolutely BRILLIANT. They addressed every question and concern I had(and I am a pretty high maintenance patient) with so much care and information, I truly feel like I have a greater knowledge of my teeth and a better confidence in my dental plan. I just moved up this way and used to go to dentist in Goleta so I had trouble finding a dentist up here my insurance would cover finally came across call dental and was nervous because of all my bad experiences in Santa Barbara and Goleta. Immediately when I walked I noticed constant cleaning in the main isle while waiting to be called in and the staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and informative. I was there for a exam and X-ray and the X-ray technician/ dental assistant was super sweet and nice I have a neurological autoimmune disease which makes my jaw weak along with other things and she was so good and swift at what she does that I had no problems holding the equipment in my mouth and she said "I know it's uncomfortable because You have a small mouth " but she was quick and efficient. The dentist came in and was examining my teeth and explaining everything I needed to do to improve my brushing because my enamel was wearing due to dietary and medication issues and even recommended a specific type of tooth brush and mouth wash .I thought my appointment was over but he made time to give me two filling right then and there ! I was astonished by the kindness and as he worked on my fillings he kept tapping me on the shoulder asking me if I was ok especially due to my nerve issues from my autoimmune disease and one thing I must point out was the dental assistant and dentist changed their gloves at least 3 times while working on me !! which was very sanitary of them. I left feeling better way more informed about dental hygiene and my dental issues and they all did such a good job I can't wait to go back to get the rest of my work done.Which I've never been able to say about a dentist before my nervousness about dentist is gone, I'm incredibly happy about that thanks to this good experience. read more

I was blown away by the Santa Maria office and all its staff. Every person I met was kind and compassionate and the care I received was all around amazing. The atmosphere they've created put me at ease immediately (I was VERY overdue for a dental appointment and, naturally, really nervous about what was going to happen) - and I'm sure everyone knows how that can make or break an experience. The ladies at reception were so lovely and fun and went above and beyond when helping me to sort the cost of the work. Shoutout to Connie and Lisbeth (forgive me if I butcher any spelling!) who were both impossibly wonderful. And to the dentist himself who was immensely patient, kind, understanding, and made sure to put my mind at ease throughout the entire procedure. The only part of the visit that was particularly unpleasant were the numbing shots lol, but that can't really be helped - and even through that, the staff was comforting and sweet. Thanks again to everyone working there, you really did make it one of the best dental experiences I've had and I cannot recommend you enough. read more
