Don't go there for service. They inflate labor time and overcharge you by 25%. I had a simple handlebar change on a Dyna. I bought everything but the extended cables. They charged 9.5 hrs labor@ $117.50 hr. +$555. for the cables. I bought the bars ,risers, bushings, wiring kit, and turn signal mounts. $650. in parts. Thats $2400. for a Dyna handlebar change..... These guys are really good at their job.. if it was all about ripping you the f*ck off. I took in my bike 3 times in the same month. Every time one thing was fixed, I would ride home to find out another thing that I did not have a problem with before, was broken. It happened every single time. I wanted to give these guys the benefit of the doubt, but when you go in with one problem and come out with another, you realize that you're being ripped off just to get your bike back in there so they can make more money off of you. I'm a young guy, and this is only my second bike. I'm sure the fact that I can't fix it myself is a major factor of why they think they can f*ck you over. I'm disappointed and now understand why the Harley Davidson company is losing money and now know why I've heard so many bad things about the Service Department here. I bought a used 2017 Harley Davidson Dyna Lowrider with 4K miles on it at Caliente. THINKING it would be safer than buying from an individual. I THOUGHT by it being a "certified" used Harley there would be some type of inspection done with a check list for the mechanic it fill out prior to being sold. That obviously is not the case and I surely should not have bought a warranty from them...there's a $50 deductible for approved warranty work done where you purchased the bike $100 if you take it to another HD dealership, looks like I'll be paying Javelina HD $100 if I ever need WARRANTY work done, because I will not be taking it back here. Here are few things with the bike I found after getting it home and initial happiness from buying the bike wearing off. The front forks were run up through the tripe tree about 1 1/2" to lower the front end that's not the correct way and it should have been moved back to the manufacturers setting. I had one rear shock set to 3 the other was at 4. Took a while to find that one, I just thought it was a horribly hard uncomfortable ride on the back seat. Air cleaner cover was upside down with the warning sticker on the underside instead of on top where it could be read. When I removed it there was oil leaking out of the crews holding the air cleaner because they were all loose. Took it in for warranty work on rear tire, extreme wobble, bearing BLEW out with 11,000 miles on it, which I found is not unusual, HD no longer uses Timken bearings that last about 20,000 miles, but there's nothing in the maintenance part of the book that says this should be looked at prior to 11,000 miles. Got the bike home after over a week being there and saw the belt guard bolt was backed out, one turn and it was off. I then checked the belt and it went all the way up to the top of the guard far past the lines on the guard used for measuring the tension. I sent a picture of the bolt to my contact, Mark,m. I did not state the bolt hadn't been tightened because it was obvious in the picture I sent him, I did indicate which bolt it was...his reply... "Yep that is the belt guard bolt". That pretty much sealed the deal for me. People DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR BIKE. It's blatantly obvious their customers safety is of no importance to them. Oh I bought the bike 11 months ago...since then just about the entire staff is new. That kind of employee turn over is a very telling sign. read more

I was really scared dropping my bike off because of so many negative reviews about this place but I am am 100% stoked on the work these guys did on my bike. Earnesto and that whole crew did a great job on my bike and the cost was very reasonable considering ALL of the work they had to do on my bike. I've been riding since I was 5 been working on my bikes almost as long (ha) so I know just how much BS can go into making a bike just like new. I wouldn't take these negative reviews to heart, if your bike needs work these guys will do it in a reasonable time frame and will produce way beyond you would think possible. These guys don't cut corners at all and delivered my bike way beyond my expectations and under budget. I can't even begin to describe the smile I had on my face the ENTIRE time I was riding. Caliente Harley Davidson would be my last choice to take my bike again! I took my bike in for repair and asked them to fix it. They called me a few days later and said "it was ready to go". When I picked it up and drove 10 miles it shut down while going 70 MPH down the highway. It was not doing this before I took it there. Then, when I got it restarted, my foot peg on the shifter fell off. To return it, they wanted to charge me for another tow bill and another diagnostic charge too! Then, they gave me a more than $1,000 estimate to attempt to guess, um I mean, fix it again after I paid $550 for the previous so called "repair". They did PM on my bike (admitted this) instead of fixing it and charged me $550 and oh, by the way, created a new problem, it appears. These guys are jokes! they will never touch my bike again! Go to Cowboy's Harley on I-35 and save your money; that is, unless you don't like money or good service. No, I do not work for any Harley dealers, I am simply an unsatisfied customer. I paid good hard earned money for a highly trained and certified Caliente H-D mechanic to break my turn signal lens cover and then their porter washed my bike which in turn shorted out my after market LED circuit board turn signal insert. I called the Service Mngr Joel and he blamed me and my old bike(2018 with 11,000 miles). Joel and at least one of his mechanics needs some re-training in customer service. Evident by the way Joel treated me, he has not read H-D U.S.A. 's model to recovery titled "Roads to H-D". Particularly the section sub heading: Stronger Dealers-"We will implement a performance framework to significantly enhance the strength of the dealer network and the customer experience, enabling the best-performing and most entrepreneurial dealers to drive innovation and success for themselves and Harley-Davidson -- while providing the premium customer experience the brand is known for across an increasingly diverse product and customer base." I've been here numerous times looking to get some information on buying a Harley. Not once have I been helped! The salespeople actually stood no more than ten feet away from me without even acknowledging I was there. I looked around at the bikes for about fifteen minutes before I decided I wasn't going to get any help and ultimately walking out of the dealership. The one time I went to Javelina Harley-Davidson I was approached almost immediately and the salesman was incredibly helpful. Caliente is only ten minutes from where I live and although javelina is over half an hour away I'll be going back there to buy my bike. Caliente doesn't even give a discount to veterans. I'd like to hear the explanation behind that one. read more

I took the basic rider course with this dealer last week; it was the best money I've spent in years. Scotty, our assigned instructor, is a natural born teacher, both in the classroom and at the range, who will make sure his students are ready to be safe riders out in the streets and able to pass the DOT written test on their first attempt upon course completion. He also made learning and training enjoyable which I believe is important especially for first-time riders such as myself. The dealership also seems to have an excellent business ethic from what I gathered during the course. When I start making enough money to buy a brand new Harley, Caliente Harley will definitely be my first choice in town. read more

These guys helped me out big time. I rode in from California and realized my headlamp glass had a spider web crack thing going on. I hit the dealership first thing in the morning. Of course, Harley, being Harley, you have to buy the whole headlamp assembly for $109.00 as they don't sell just the glass. Fortunately my bike was still under warranty. I was told I couldn't get in until Friday and I was leaving town on Thursday. I explained the situation and they got me in first thing the next morning. While I waited I saw every inch of the dealership. Lots of selection, plently of parts in stock, a customer lounge with sofas, tv, internet, and pool table. They also stock and all the little gift ideas that you don't want to spend money on yourself, but don't mind if other people see there way to buy them for you. There's even solar screens over the bike parking; nice! All in all, this is one of my favorite visited dealerships recently. Not only did they do the warranty work for an unscheduled visit, but they gave my ride a complimentary wash also. Now that's just something I haven't had happen in a long time. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars because there's no option for 4.5 stars. They didn't have a sale rack in the motorclothes section. I think that's minor, so I'd give them 4.5 because the bike wash after a service is seriously cool. They honor a discount for active duty military. read more

Within two years, we purchased two new bikes from Caliente and recommended several friends to the dealership to purchase their bikes. We also got all of our service done, all of our parts and accessories, along with a lot of other clothing and merchandise from this dealership. It was our routine to ride to Caliente at least every Saturday to look and shop around. In July, we got our 5,000 mile service done on our Street Glide. When we picked it up, the caps were missing from the tires and there was a small scratch on the gas tank. When I mentioned it to the service manager, he immediately accused us of lying about the scratch. He said he would give us caps for the tires but the scratch was there already. Not at all! Because of this tiny little scratch that the service department is refusing to take responsibility for, and the way we were treated, they have lost us as customers . We haven't stepped foot in the dealership since. read more

Getting to like this place even better. Been to different HDs in the area and always seem to get what i need here more often and at a better price. Service guys seem to do a little extra to help get you what you need. I could list a few examples over the past year but i'll list the most recent. Had a small issue with my battery terminal melting when I try to start it. Electrics I know little, so was getting frustrated, especially with the warm days passing me by without a ride. Finally called Caliente. Ended up fixing the bike with the help of a friend shortly after I called Caliente, but a service guy from Caliente called me about an hour later. Told him the issue and that we got it fixed and he described what the problem was over the phone and how to fix it if it happens again. A little late, but at least I know the cause and what to do to prevent it from happening again. Free advice! Friends have nothing but good to say about the service dept here as well. Next time I have a bike issue thats beyond my knowledge, Caliente has my loyalty for sure. read more

Firstly, I wasn't really impressed when I first visited, but They really earned back my business and then some. I was in the market for a second bike. I had found one at a different Harley dealer, but they didn't really try to finish the sale. So, with just a promise of financing ( my word basically) I called Caliente and spoke to the sales guy who had shown me a few bikes a week ago. One, He remembered who I was, Two, He remembered the bike I was looking at, Three, He helped me finish the financing through my bank no questions asked and Four, I am the proud owner of another Harley. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They will break your bike then try and scam you to pay to have them fix what they broke. Dropped my 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Bob off today for an state inspection and they broke the brake handle causing the brake light to remain on. Nothing was wrong with it when it was dropped off nor when the service person did the inspection before I handed it over. Yet an hour later they call me and say the brake is broken & can fix it for $250.00. Seriously people? When we arrived the technician who worked on it refused to come out front and the service manager was a complete douche. Both the crappy manager and the coward tech that broke my Harley allowed the decent young lady at the front desk to deal with the angry customer. Way to man up Jackwagon! They will try and SCAM YOU HERE. I wouldn't let them touch my motorcycle for any reason. I called the Operations Manager when I got home to let her know that the service department is crooked.
