My new-to-me motorcycle, ready and parked in front of The Motorcycle Shop

Jason and family at The Motorcycle Shop are friendly, helpful, and fair. I've bought 3 vehicles from them and traded in 2. I always feel like I'm getting a fair sale from an honest seller. They helped me choose my very first scooter (there are LOTS of options here!) and helped me upgrade a few years later. Bottom line: if The Motorcycle Shop has the vehicle I'm looking for, I have no reason to look anywhere else.

Wow what an amazing store! Jason (owner) and his team are amazing both in knowledge and service. Jason comes from a family history of Vespa, and is third generation to own a motorcycle store! Great family memorabilia and the Vespa and motorcycle miniature collection cabinet collection is amazing! Highly recommend you stop by if your in San Antonio Texas! They have great accessories too including side cars....bought an awesome retro helmet here...Very happy

Proud to have their name on my Vespa!

If only I could give 1,000 stars, this would be the place! So here's the deal. We are on a 27 state, 2 month trip in a motorhome with our Vespa on the back. While in Florida, I made a bone-head move and over-tightened a mirror and snapped it off. In such a way that we would need to tap out a screw to get a new one in, so more than just installing a new mirror. So I looked for Vespa shops on our route, and this one was going to be the easiest to get to in the "sooner rather than later" category. I called them up, and they were beyond helpful. They had the part, and told me they would set up their schedule so when I arrived in San Antonio I could drop the bike off Tuesday evening and pick it up first thing in the morning Wednesday. AWESOME!! We get there Tuesday evening, and first of all, everyone here is just so cool! I mean above and beyond cool. But they didn't have me wait. They did it on the spot, we chatted for a while, and I was on my way. Does the story end here? HELL NO! Later on I noticed that during transport, my steering column lock broke and the bike would not lock. Bummer, I'll just get it into a shop when we get to L.A., where we will be for a good amount of time, But then I find myself riding round San Antonio, and suddenly passing this place again. Hmmmm, let me stop and see if maybe this is something really easy and stupid. Or maybe I am being a bonehead and not doing something right? So I pull in and show them what is going on. Without a word, they bring my bike into the shop, and start taking it apart on the spot. About a half hour later, it is fixed. Not only did they do it on the spot for me, but there was just this overall attitude by EVERYONE in the shop of total coolness. Oh, and when I tried to pay, they wouldn't take a penny from me. In a nutshell, I cannot speak highly enough of these guys! So much that my Vespa now proudly sports a Vespa of San Antonio sticker!

After a return visit, my Kymco scooter, starting issue was resolved. Being from out of town and needing to return, they did me right.

This shop had my Motorcycle since Jan 22nd and did absolutely ZERO work towards it…read more. I picked it up today at 4PM with SAPD and the owner of Eric's Cycle Shop Eric Alborg did not even come outside he had some random guy give me the bike. He was no where to be seen during the encounter. After making it almost impossible to pick up as he was busy. Upon receipt of my bike some of the plastic coverings returned were not my original ones and were ones that were completely scratched up, rusted, and looked like shit.. it was missing screws the front wheel cover was loose the tank was scratched and dented the Ignition switch was gone my license plate was missing and some paint scratched up. That's all that I noticed thus far... I have it scheduled to take to another mechanic next week to assess all the damage caused by Eric Alborg and his shop.. I expressed this to this individual and he said he would relay it Eric and see if they could locate the missing parts as his shop was a mess and difficult to look for anything. An hour later i messaged Eric inquiring about all my missing parts and damages and he claimed that he returned the bike to me as is and its a piece of shit bike anyways not worth anything... We went back and forth for a bit but ultimately he refused to give me any parts that were missing as the bike was returned "As is" and he claimed that I signed the "Assassin document" which frees him of any liability of damaged, missing, stolen property.. i expressed if he simply returns my parts we can be done with each other... if not i would be pursuing legal action.. he responded "Go for it I'm closing my shop anyways so your not going to get shit out of me" then he continued to say asshole this asshole that and went as far as stating "You should remember I have your address when you dropped it off so I suggest you stop while your ahead if your smart".... He refuses to accept any responsibility by claiming this document protects him from anything and that if I want to waste my time and pursue legal action on " a bike worth a Jimmy and 5 bucks" then go for it... ultimately he was blocked and I now have a bike which I turned in to him in that was in tact and just had a leaking carburetor.. BEWARE OF ERIC ALBORG FROM ERIC'S CYCLE SHOP. HE IS LITERAL SCUM AND WILL NOT ONLY BE A HORRIBLE BUSINESS OWNER AND INDIVIDUAL BUT TREATS YOUR PROPERTY AND INDIVIDUAL SELF JUST AS SHITTY!!

I am a 62 year old man who has owned and ridden numerous motorcycles since I was 14. I can recall…read moreevery experience that I have ever had dealing with private sellers and motorcycle dealerships over the years, and on the whole, I have found the private sector to be far less exasperating. Until today. I had been searching for a well maintained, low mileage, later model Honda 919 for the better part of a couple of years to retire my beloved but ageing 750 Nighthawk. I checked Craigslist at least every other day throughout this period, and was disappointed to find that examples of the model were becoming as scarce as hen's teeth, not only nationwide, but particularly on the local front. Having located a rare potential candidate being offered by a private party about an hour away in San Antonio ("In perfect condition, excellent shape"), I took advantage of the chance to investigate at my earliest opportunity. As has happened on numerous occasions in the past, I found the description of the bike advertised falling far short of reality... the right side of the tank was badly dented and patched, with plenty of scrapes on both frame and motor indicating at least one nasty low-side crash, with a diverse array of aftermarket parts used to minimize the apparent damage. I had also been following an ad for an identical bike posted by a place called Extreme Motorsports, and since it was located not far from the private seller's residence, I decided (out of desperation and scarcity) that I would try to overcome my long held prejudice and at least check the place out. What a pleasant surprise! Not only was the bike a much better candidate than I had previously uncovered in my two year search, the owners and staff , to a man, were among the best that I have encountered in any vehicular retail setting. I found that every person I met was pleasant, informative, helpful, respectful, and professional... though not to the extreme of being off-putting. Indeed, that was perhaps the most enjoyable aspect about the whole experience. This jovial group acts like a band of brothers who love their work, and their enthusiasm and camaraderie will put you at ease and make you feel like one of the family. My sincere thanks to all that I met, and to Dave and James in particular, the owners from whom I suspect all this motorcycle nirvana flows. You have provided me with an exceptional bike at an exceptional price, and perhaps most surprisingly, an exceptional experience!
