I live in La Habra Heights and have a ton of trees on my property. They came out and gave me a super reasonably priced quote. The best deal was to get them to send a crew out and do 8 hours worth of work. They came out and did an excellent job!!!! They took out a huge pine tree adjacent to my chimney, a pepper tree dangerously hanging over my garage and trimmed back like 3-4 trees. They navigated all of this down my steep driveway (having to manually lug it all up by hand). They then got on my roof and blew off all the debris and picked up pretty much every single leaf. California arborist has been trimming our 40+ year old carrot wood tree for many years. They are extremely fast and efficient. They arrive with a virtual army working like a well-oiled team - one guy up the tree, one guy prepping the chipper, two or three clearing branches and bam, done. They are fast but havent damaged any property and do a good job of cleanup. (Sometimes too good. I like to keep a little leaf litter under the tree to keep the weeds from intruding, if I don't remind them, its clean as a whistle.) read more

I have several water valves break in my sprinkler system. We live in La Habra Heights and saw California Arborist in Height Life. Figured they would understand a complex system for lots of land. Called and spoke with "Rita" who scheduled two people to come out the following day. It ended up that I had a larger problem because wires were broken under ground as well as the valve. The following day I received an estimate which was very competitive. I called and scheduled and the guys did the work. The process was pretty seamless and best of all my broken valves are no longer leaking and my wires are once again connect and the system is working. The service was so seamless I called them back to add a new hose bib, clean up some land that had deteriorated and cut a few trees. Again great customer service and got just what I asked for. I've decided to do hard scape work where pavers need to be replaced as the person who previously placed did not do correctly and pavers are moving as sand has dissolved. They will also fixed cracks in the stamped concrete. I'll keep you informed. read more

I have used California Arborists for two large jobs. One was for a huge 50 year old Oak tree and a skyscraper pine tree. They were meticulous taking them down and grinding the stumps. It was a huge job and when they left, they left my yard completely cleaned of all debris. On my second job, another huge oak, also 50 years old in my back yard. I only wanted it shaped and thinned out. All I can say is they are very thorough and take their time deciding which limbs and overgrowth to remove. Our community hired CA Arborist for several years for landscaping and during a windstorm tree limbs broke off and fell to ground. We shopped around for competitive quotes to remove the downed limbs. This procedure upset Don the owner as he thinks that his company is automatically entitled to the job. Needless to say, his quote was three times the price of his competitors and was not selected for the job. During a meeting, he became irate and used profanity to grieve about the current landscaping contract with us and that it's an insult not selecting his company to do the aforementioned job. He left the meeting and stated he quit the landscaping contract effectively immediately (no prior notice was given). I don't think the owner is mentally stable. read more

We have a 50 year old Brazilian Pepper tree in our front yard. California Arborist came out yesterday to prune the tree and did the best job on that tree. We are more than happy with their work. Scheduling was a snap and Fernando gave a knowledgeable and fair assessment for our tree removal (one tree quite large and near a wall). Scheduling the service was easy and the team was able to come out quickly. We were told a general time frame at the time of scheduling and a follow up call the day before to confirm the timing. The confirmed time was a bit earlier than we had planned for, but worked out ok.
