This is my ongoing experience where the merchant can't even reimburse my funds back to my credit card because as most banks the original credit card has since been replaced with a new one. This happens to almost everyone, I understand it's frustrating in itself, it shouldn't be prolonged by waiting on the telephone for excessive amounts of time listening to repeated elevator music and robotic voices.
