When they first opened, they had 2 wash techs at the beginning of the wash, one to brush on each side of the car!! . Now, only one wash tech for the drivers side!!! Raise the price an cut extra employee!! So, every time I go thru the wash, I go back around an ask for the right side to be brushed!!! Everyone should start going back for a second wash, maybe they'd start having 2 wash techs again?? The other thing I see occasionally is one or even two washing machine not working!!! Just setting idle as you roll by, again, I go back for a second wash, pointing out that they have broken equipment!!! Busy place but seemed like it had great pressure, decent number if stalls for both vacuum and wash, takes credit cards and was easy to get in and out of. If you don't want to wash yourself it also has an autowash. Only thing I'm not sure about is that I couldn't figure out how to stop the credit card payment. This car wash has both do-it-your self and drive-through options as well as multiple vacuum stations. There are options on the latter (as well as on the manual wash), including power vac, fragrance, etc. I can't compare prices, but they seemed average to me. One thing I would point out to the manager/owner is that my virus software (Bitdefender) would not let me access the California Car Wash website, stating "dangerous URL" issues. I found the address on Yelp, though, without having to go to the website. This might be having an impact on attracting new business (although it seems busy enough at peak times). read more

Hard water at a car wash facility should be a crime. Hard water leaves spots on the car that will have to be polished out if left to dry on the paint. It's hot in Chico, so they WILL dry on the paint. It leaves a residue on the car, especially prominent on black paint. The "spotless wash" helps slightly, but still left hard water spots and streaks everywhere. This place is not up to par with professional detailers, or, quite frankly, anyone with at least one working eye. The owners should invest in a water softening system. That would make it stand out from the many other car washes in Chico. I am not recommending this place and I will not be returning unless a water softening system is installed. read more

Probably the most uncomfortable experience I've had going to clean out my car. I don't know who hires the employees but there was a man with a bright orange jacket with employee on the back and he looked very sketchy but he also made me feel very uncomfortable the whole time I was there. I kept getting glared at and I got an uneasy feeling from this man. I would not recommend coming here if you are a young woman by yourself. Best drive thru touchless car wash!! I'm very picky and only like to hand wash my car, so I was so happy to find this gem! I am so happy I came here! Everything is pressurized so this means no brushes touch your car. Touchless car washes are important to me because I don't take my car to the ones that have brushes (those kind of car washes pick up dirt and small rocks from other cars and scratch your car!!!!!) TIP: On Sundays there's an old man who works there who is soooo nice. One of the vacuums ate my $ and he reimbursed me & sent me to one that worked. Thanks guy!! :) There aren't many options in Chico as far as car washes go, which is a bummer. Especially coming here from LA, where there's a car wash on every other corner. That being said, this self serve car wash is the best one in Chico. Its $1.00 for 4 mins on the vacuum station and $2 for 4 mins at the self serve car wash station. Usually 4 mins doesn't cover it so count on spending $4 to get your car washed and totally soap free. I have found an awesome way to wash my car with out using the soapy brush (skeerd of getting scratches from that thing, who knows WHAT it may have been used on before I got there!). I spray down my car to prep it then, turn on the soapy brush, a LOT of soap comes out of that thing (AWESOME) then, I use the soap from the brush and wash my entire car down with a sheepskin hand mitt. Usually takes about 2 mins, then I use the brush on the tires and finally spray it down with the high pressure rinse. DONE! Total spent on hand wash AND vacuum $5. Yup, five bucks! Best deal in town, no doubt about it. I've got to gloat about the price simply because I happened to drive into another car wash earlier in the day and they had the audacity to try and charge $22 for a BASIC wash. I'd rather invest an hour of my time, get my car as clean as a pro and save a gang of cash. $22 (not including the tip)- WHAT A JOKE... I'M STILL LAUGHING. WHO is stupid enough to pay such an exorbitant amount for a simple wash?? WOW. I know I'm not in LA anymore but most, meaning 90% of the "HAND WASH" car washes there are $10, includes tire shine, vacuum AND windows cleaned. Total out the door, after tip, is around $13-$14, STILL a hell of a lot less expensive then 'Erics' Car Wash (oops, did I just say that?). If that's not some backward logic, I don't know what is. I've brought my car here before and it washed it really well but yesterday I took it in 1/20/23 and it didn't clean anything at all. I got the $14 wash and it was horrible my car looked the same afterwards. I don't know what happened but it was really upsetting to see. read more

I love this place! It's a great place to get a touchless wash, or to do the wash yourself. They provide you with all kinds of soaps and protectants and high pressure water. I drive a Ford fusion and I'm usually able to wash my whole car for less than 10$, given that I waste no time. Not sure why there are bad reviews. I've never been to a self car wash place but I paid cash ($5 for 10 minutes, $1 for two minutes) and everything worked great. Was concerned about the pressure at first but the pre-soak is supposed to be low pressure and then the other options are higher pressure. I also used the vacuum station ($1 for 4 minutes) and it had good suction/nozzle to get the job done. Would definitely come back! read more

This place is garbage now. Have the stuff never works. One of the stalls has been broken for awhile. Today I pull into an empty one. It won't take my cash. Then it says card reader isn't working. Ok wtf you don't want my money. So I go down to key issuer and you can't get a new one only reload. I still had one so I go to reload, you can't reload with a card because that's also broken so only cash. I put 5 bucks on the key, then the stall wouldn't take the key either. I drove inside, as the 2nd or 3rd step of the wash proceeded, the damn timing belt somehow undone itself. Emergency bells were ringning. About 10 minutes pass, I was still stuck in the stall. An employee finally comes to the rescue.. Attempts to fix the timing belt but no success. He then tells me to use the DIY stalls. Unbeknownst to me, I was under the impresision that i getting my 12 bux back. The guy completely ignored me. He could at least give me a key or pay for my DIY wash, but he is obviously an omega doosh bag. I know its just $12, its the principle behind it..I payed, I want service or money back. I love this car wash because they use warm water in the pressure washers and it cleans faster. They have lots of options in the self wash, and the vaccuums give you four minutes a dollar. Tip: If you are in a pinch you can soap foam brush your car and rinse for only two dollars! read more

Yesterday my partner and I went to this car wash. We got into the line for the touchless car wash. The machine took our money, 12 dollars to be exact, and as we strolled in the machine did not start up. We sat there for about 5 minutes and it still wouldn't start. There was no sign anywhere that said anything about being out of order. Knowing these kinds of things happened, I called the number they have on a door for help. The owner did not answer after calling about 5 time but again, I understand these things happen. I left a message with my number and asked her to give me a call back. She has not called me back. 12 dollars is obviously not a great deal of money, but it felt like a complete waste. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I used to come to this car wash often and I will never go back, and I recommend anyone that reads this to not go either. Extremely disappointed. read more

They try and trick you into buying the most expensive wash by switching the colors around from the price sign to the machine when you choose. Yellow is the cheapest on the sign but yellow is the most expensive when you go to pay and choose. read more

I use this car wash all the time because it's near my house and has one of the few touchless washes in Chico. Last time I came through I paid 12$ for an extreme wash and the wash was not working, no signage was up to indicate the wash wasn't working, it had no problem taking my money though. I called the number on the receipt asking for a refund or a free wash, never got a call back or refund. That sucked. When the wash is working, it's great, 5/5. I was a victim of the drive through wash not working as well. The drive through with the brushes was blocked off so I used the touch less which has always seemed a little ineffective for my car. The car before me seemed to have no problem. I paid my $12, drove in when it was my turn and then the lights on the directions sign went out. I didn't know if I needed to move forward or backwards. Then they came back on and the arrow told me to move forward. I did so. The water started and covered maybe a foot of my car and then the arm holding the water jets fell. Luckily it was right in front of my car and not on my car. I drove around it to get out and looked for an attendant. Called and left a message but still no reply. It's not making or breaking me but I would like my $12 back. I did not receive the service for which I paid. read more

I like this place because there are many options - you can wash your car yourself in a stall, or use one of two types of automated car washes. They have the "no touch" kind and the rotating brush kind. The machines all take credit/debit cards, so no need to raid your piggy bank for coins. It is clean and well kept. There are lots of vacuum stations too. As far as I can tell, they are open 24-hours, which is a plus. This place is way better than those car washes at the gas stations where you have to wait a long time and they don't wash your car very well. Thumbs up!! read more

This is an excellent spot to go and get your car washed. It is a fairly new spot that has a lot of stalls and vaccuum areas. They take cards as well so that is always a plus. The location is great and they are only full during mid day. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else. read more
