UPDATE: I spoke to Sandra the manager who claimed she didn't hear Bailey yell at me. I asked her to check the video footage and get back to me. She never did. I also requested that the District Manager Yolanda call me, I doubt she ever got the message. Sandra may be GM but she clearly has no authority to actually do anything about her employees behavior. The corporate office has since gotten involved they also have no record of me asking for Yolanda to call. No one has reviewed the footage because apparently that isn't something Sandra has access to. Bailey deserves to be fired because of her behavior, at the very least she should be written up. Doesn't sound like the management team knows how to train people in customer service given that they cannot even return a phone call. read more

I went in to receive a western union transfer. They wanted my SSI number,where I worked and my phone number. Then she handed me a sheet telling me they will sell my information including my SSI number. Wtf!!! read more

So I came here because I didn't want to drive across town to Walmart to cash my check two weeks ago. What should have taken 5 minutes took almost 45. I'm not entirely sure what they were doing but it seemed like they did a whole background check, for what reason? I have no clue. Then when it came time to actually cash the check it was about 8 dollars to do it. The lady could tell I was pretty upset and she apologized for the wait and told me that it would be faster next time. Fast forward to today... I got my check and came here because she said it would be faster and I had an appointment I needed to get to so I thought why not.... well, it was faster this time but they ended up charging me an almost $15 fee!!! When it was only 8 the first time. I didn't have time to argue so I left. I'm definitely not going back. This place is hella whack it took them over a half hour to cash my check trying to verify it like I'm some sort of delinquent, or trying to cash a fake check..... the only reason I came here is because my bank is closed on the 4th of July... plus they charge way too much here to cash a check. I'd avoid this place. Horrible experience today. Went to this place on my lunch break today to cash my $2000 check just because it was closer than going to the actual bank plus I was on my lunch break. Anyways walked up into the store, patiently waited in line and patiently waited for all paperwork to be processed since it was my first time they needed to some verification on there side. Come to everything being done the teller lady tells me it's going be $200 to cash my check. That's 10% of my check my hard earn money for a quick transaction. I laughed to myself and told the lady to give me my check back, told her that there was no way I was going to pay 200 to cash a check. Than she stated " we can negotiate an amount"? I told her no to please give me my check and Walked out. Moral of story is people whoever is reading this don't let greedy unfair business like this take your hard earned money. This is the worst. Went there to buy a money order last month no problem. I found that this place offered so much more than loans , infact DMV affairs can be handled there in addition to an automatic refund on the money order should it no longer be needed they'll cash it out with receipt off course at any amount. "Good deal ." Not! Today I went in to purchase money order stood in line for 20 minutes, "no big deal it's the 1st people paying there bill", however; the irritating part was that out of the 6 terminals only two where operating. " At lunch time on payday you would think they would want to collect money in person ." Instead the people occupying the non operating registers where making phone calls, while over seeing g the line growing to at least 8 or more people. One of them looked higher than a kite tapping and continually licking her lips . Sketch! Once it was my turn I was told that in order to by a money order I need to open a file with them. For the purchase of a money order far less then the original previously purchased. Wow! I was then told ,after inquiring that in order to use any of their "convenient" services you have to open a file with them. read more

I would never go here again my husband and I have been a customer for about 10 years and because of a federal holiday My Paycheck was delayed they would not work with me and Jeremy the associate threatened that they're going to cash my check anyway bad customer service would not recommend any one to go there. read more

I've been using California Check Cashing on Mangrove for over a year now, for payday loans and money orders. Once my info was on file, I get in and out quickly, and the staff is friendly. I really like the fact they can do larger amounts for money orders! Instead of paying for two smaller amount money orders at Walmart, I can buy one for a larger amount for only 75 cents. read more
