I had a problem with an accountant before her, and I hired her to help me fix the issue, which as far as the returns go she did. I also asked her to help me deal with FTB about the debt, and she basically did some procedure with them that took 6 months, before which I HIGHLIGHTED REPEATEDLY that I did not want to pay more interest, she responded that that account would be on hold and there would be no interest. Well at the end of 6 months, I ended up having to take the matter into my own hands, pay nearly 2000.00 dollars in interest. When ever I have any questins about anything I have to wait 2 weeks to a month, and our appointments never seem to resolve anything I repeatedly ended up calling FTB myself to resolve it. I am now about to pay more money for something she did and didnt take responsibility for. if you want straight forward work done, she will do a good job, but don't hire her to clean up any messes, it will end bad. I am grateful for her help, but it was AGONIZINGLY SLOW, and disappointing to have to do everything extra myself. I dont know that first thing about talking with FTB, or maneuvering their systems, and I was forced to resolve 'clean up' part of the issue my self, paying over 5000+$ for a bill that was originally 1800.00 or 2000. She made excuses that seemed legit but was really hiding behind the confusion left by the man who messed it all up in the first place (before I hired her) the extra money was over 60% interest for her mis information, and misleading me by telling me that the account would be on hold, and despite me asking and insisting if that meant NO INTEREST, AND HER SAYING YES THATS WHAT IT MEANT, I payed the interest.

Her response was "I've never heard of that, it must be a system error!" That was her reply via email! I was in shock. She didn't even try to find out. I don't appreciate that type of response. I expected her to look into it and get back to me at minimum. I now know that the "key code"is found on your billing statement which is mailed out each month to customers. This was my first time going through the insurance process, and looking back, I feel like my lack of experience was taken advantage of. I trusted their guidance, but later realized I was paying for coverage that didn't really align with my needs. At the beginning, I was given several discounts (like a student discount) that I later found out I didn't actually qualify for. When it came time for renewal, my premium increased significantly after those discounts were removed. The most frustrating part of my experience was the lack of support after I was in an accident. They were very unhelpful during that process, and I ultimately went to seek help from another local Allstate agent. I ended up canceling my policy. I did have to pay about 10% of the remaining balance (around $20) to close out the policy. Overall, the experience left me feeling like I wasn't properly guided through the insurance process, especially as a first-time customer, and that my trust in their advice wasn't respected.
