I've been looking around for a regular and permanent dentist near home. I had major expectations with Cal Dental Group. Upon my very first AND REALLY MY LAST VISIT I sensed thay the lady handling contracts and payments, I think she is the office manager, approached me while i was bleeding on the patient's chair and she was much more interested and pushy about extracting my money than extracting my teeth. My point and suggestion is the following: I don't recommend this place, their quality of work is average, staff service is average, contracts lady is a money-grabbing character. If you find it that you must go there: JUST BE SUPER ALERT, VIGILANT, AND CONSCIOUS with your money and whatever contract you make. Don't go there, I was the patient in Glendale office for years, they did wrong job and I realized this matter when I meet another dentist. Dr. Krutikov did wrong job. For 3 times the same filling came out. Moreover, during his work my tooth cracked. Also, they put oversized crown. I loose my money and my tooth got damaged because of them. read more

**Fraud Alert** If you actually care about quality care and work DO NOT go here! To start off, you never have one solid dentist that is seeing you, it's always someone new. The only time you'll see the same person is if you're getting root canals done and they only do them once a week because that doctor doesn't work in their office regularly. I had to get some intense procedures done that I won't be getting into, but none of the procedures I had there were pain free. I am continuing to get treatment elsewhere and have not been in nearly as much pain as they put me in for procedures much more intense. So no it is not normal pain. I stopped going here mid treatments because of all the pain and sheer unprofessional. They had a dentist that was working on my teeth, he literally couldn't keep his hand up. The whole time he was resting his hand on my lip and teeth... so not okay. Anyways, for some context you should know that if you are using care credit or lending club this dentist office charges the full amount of whatever treatments before even touching your teeth. So if you don't end up getting something done they have to refund it right? Good luck. It's taken me and my family months now trying to get our money put back that they charged for treatments that they didn't even do. I would recommend to stay away from here and look elsewhere. There are tons of great places to go to. And to whoever is reading this at California Dental, stop calling and harassing me. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this dental office. From the moment I walked in, I felt taken care of and genuinely supported. The entire staff is kind, patient, and incredibly professional, which makes such a huge difference, especially if you're someone who usually feels anxious about dental visits, like me. She answered every single question I had without ever making me feel rushed or confused, and she went above and beyond to break down my payment options in a way that actually made sense. I got a root canal today and they were AMAZING ! The staff was friendly and great. OJ was very helpful and amazing. An asset . And I wish I knew the dentist name , but I don't . She stated that all of a sudden, the insurance was not going to cover that amount. However, the contract I signed stated otherwise. They pulled teeth that were completely healthy. It was a holiday weekend on a Sunday... my poor daughter was in much pain. Needless to say our own dental office was closed and her pain was becoming unbearable. First thing in the morning I do an internet search for local office that may be open. I discover CDG of Glendale located a few blocks from where we live. Without an appointment I rush my daughter over to their office. We are pleasantly greeted by an ever so friendly Maribel. I need to point out that on numerous occasions how I've been greeted by the most grumpy "I rather be somewhere else" front desk at most medical families.Especially with this being the holiday weekend, it wasn't the case for all staff members here. I know they didn't have to see us and I would of fully understood. HOWEVER, OUR HERO Dr. Ramin graciously accepted us in and quickly resolved the painful ordeal my daughter was going through. I also need to mention the wonderful and most charming kind hearted assistant I ever encountered in Martha. She certainly went out her way to make my daughter feel relaxed and at home and even putting a smile on her face. As did another super friendly outgoing fella who went by the name of OJ. I never experienced this kind of treatment especially in our situation. I can only be so appreciative and especially grateful for taking such great care of my daughter. Today I attended this dental office for the first time. I very very afraid of dentist. When I tell you I had one of the best experience that I have ever had beginning with the front office. Jasmine and Susan was so awesome. Very friendly, professional and acommadating. I had to have a root canel. When I tell you Dr. Aiham Machhadani was amazing. He was very patient and direct as to what was needed He explained what needed to be done to where you can understand. This doctor gave me the shot and i did not feel the needle at all. I didn't feel Nooooo pain or discomfort while he was doing the root canel at all. I was just in amazement. I so appreciate Dr Machhadani and his assistant and all the staff. This place is a joke. I've never encountered such a shady business. I've had fillings here and they charge much higher than other dental offices but that's not even my issue with them. They overcharged me $6,000 and it's been months of constant phone calls and constant lies from the receptionists. They said they talked to their accountant to stop billing 6k extra but the next month rolls around and yet another bill. I called again and all I get is a "sorry we will call him tomorrow." The receptionists are completely incompetent and don't know how to work their system to send me a simple receipt. I'm constantly lied to about having it sent. I've been asking for a receipt for 4 days and still nothing. I'm pretty rational and forgiving but this is ridiculous. Save your money and choose another dental office. The dentists are extremely rough and not attentive to the patients sensitivities as well. I made an account just to leave this review. This Dentistry is truly magical! Once you walk in, you are immediately greeted by Jasmine. I had two root canals done by Dr. Oleg Krutikov and I couldn't be happier, he doesn't stop until he is completely satisfied with his work. He takes pride in his work and is the epitome of patient care. I had a problematic tooth that was infected and had been previously treated. Two dentists had advised that the only thing they can do is an implant and I was insecure to be left toothless for months. I showed my x-ray to Dr. Krutikov and he advised to save the tooth for as long as I can with apicoectomy. Today was my surgery with Dr. Krutikov and I couldn't be happier. Roobina, the Dental Assistant was an absolute pleasure to have there the entire time. She was compassionate and personable throughout my procedure and constantly checked with me to make sure I didn't experience any discomfort and I didn't. If you're local, you're lucky, otherwise it's worth the drive. From the front staff to Dr. Krutikov, you can feel the genuine compassion and knowledge. The service is still consistent and concern about our safety from Covid-19 with hand sanitizer, checking temperature on my forehead and rinsing my mouth. I went to pick up my night guard with some adjustment and came out fast. They just opened this week after postponing my appointments 2 times to avoid Covid-19. I'm about to tell you some unbelievable stuff from a horrible experience but...seriously...I'm not making this up. I am new to Glendale and looking for a new dentist. I have a cracked tooth and it really started pounding lately and I wanted an extraction....and a future appointment for a cleaning with my new dentist. I had digital x-rays done by the hygienist. As I was sitting in the chair, I was faced toward a 50 inch LCD monitor on the wall with a calendar. The calendar listed NAMES of patients, PHONE NUMBERS of patients, and REASON FOR VISIT of each patient. I'm pretty sure this violates HIPPA laws, as well as is extremely lazy with private patient information and just horribly unprofessional. Dr. Oleg Krutikov came in and suggested a root canal. I have had root canals, crown lengthening, filling, caps, crowns, posts...I did not want to experience that again, especially with a molar in the far back. He reeked of cigarettes and never once listed to my needs. He reached in my mouth with tools poking around with out ever putting gloves on! A clear health code violation. After the 5th time telling him I was not interested in saving a #17 molar that was cracked in half, I just wanted an extraction...he told me, "well, I am not interested in extraction.." and barged out of the room. . . . The shocked hygienist apologized and said, "I'm sorry, I don't know why he said that". I jumped out of the chair and left. On the way out and told the receptionist at the office, that Dr. Krutikov is the rudest dentist I have ever seen and he reeks of cigarettes.... I worked for a nation wide company, representing dentists for dentist for 5 years and am pretty knowledgable about how front offices are run, when certain procedures are necessary, latest technology, etc. Normally these "dental groups" are bad. Take California Dental Group. You have an established Doctor Sahabi Kamran DDS who creates a business and files for a D.B.A (easy to obtain, I have one...) then lets a bunch of doctors practice out of his facility. They benefit from his good name and he benefits monetarily. Where this system is dangerous is the lack of standards as to who can work in the office. Should there be a case of malpractice...all the dentists are Independent Contractors, so the actual dental practice or business is never at risk. So, no need to screen for good dentists... Stay far away from California Dental Group and Dr. Oleg Krutikov. I sure as hell am. read more

With my new insurance, I thought I'd give this one a try for a basic cleaning. This location seemed a little run down or not very clean or fresh. It was very busy bc I came on a Sat. i waited 40 min! The office refused my former Dental records or xrays so they said they had to take new ones! They were very uncomfortable but when are mouth x rays fun? Then the hygienist and dentist rushed through everything, didn't listen to me, and told me I'd need a whole lot of extra work! Deep cleaning, fillings, and a mold/ mouth guard! What?!! So then I waited to hear on Mon. they called me and found out I would need poor auth, and then a week goes by and I get an estimation of costs and it's over $1k! No way! So I came all the way from NJ and needed a specialized surgery. This office was the only one within an hour that had the specialist I needed. Most of the staff is super friendly, and almost "cosy" with the exception of the snippy and slightly b***y receptionist. They were extremely helpful when I was extremely stressed, going into my surgery. **: i had lost one of the prescriptions needed before the surgery and was running late. The helpful and understanding staff told me not to worry, they rearranged their schedule to accommodate me, AND were able to call the prescription into a nearby pharmacy for me to pick up in time. Also, their gum specialist is the best, and he explained what he would be doing and made sure everything was great. over all I really do like this office, (way better than my family dentist back in NJ) although there is the one not so happy or nice receptionist, the rest were just peachy. Got my two front teeth bonded recently by Dr. Emad Bishay who is amazing! He is truly an artist:) He really took the time to explain everything and walked me through the process so i was very comfortable going into the procedure. I must really commend him for taking his time to work on the small details because he makes the teeth look even better than before I chipped them! This had been my 3rd time bonding my teeth because they kept chipping. This is the first time I went to California Dental and hopefully I won't have to get them bonded again anytime soon:D Also got my impacted wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Woo who is great as well!
