I had a crown put into my mouth and it was too big and it was too tight and I said something, but nothing was done. I woke up one morning and half of my face on the left-hand side was numb. I couldn't feel my face. I immediately called the insurance company and they recommended me to another dentist whom I've been going to however, when the dentist asked for a x-ray of the tooth concerned they sent nothing but blurry pictures. I got the picture from my new dentist. I had to have several teeth redone crowns redone, and now one of my teeth have fallen out of my mouth because he made it where I put a hairline crack into it. I've been going there since 1978 three or four Dentist have gone through that office since then but just did it for me. I'm leaving on bad terms. read more

My family has been going to this dentist for close to 20 years if not more. Dr. Matossian is excellent. He understood my anxiety about getting dental work done and always makes sure to explain what he is going to do before he does anything. This helps reduce my anxiety greatly. All the staff are really nice from front desk to the hygienist and dr Nishan is very knowledgeable and smart dentist. He ll tell you exactly what needs to be done. Let me start by prefacing that my insurance is accepted here. I only had to pay my expected co-pay for this visit. Overall, I had a really pleasant experience. They have a private parking lot with access via a couple of stairs or ramp in the back. Dr. Matossian and the assistant we're friendly, patient, and had good bedside manner. After X-rays and exam. Dr. Matossian went over my treatment plan. He let me know what I was in immediate need of, up to optional procedures to improve my smile. Worst dental treatment I ever had. I was patient of Dr. Laleian for the last 25 years and was told that he had retired and his practice was transferred to the Glendale Premier. Dr. Laleian was an excellent dentist with superb ethics, and I thought he would refer his patients to a dentist with equal integrity. So, I went to Glendale Premier expecting the same standard of dental care, without even checking out the Yelp reviews, which was a mistake. During the initial consultation, which cost $160, Dr. Matosian's pitch of the treatment that I needed was very convincing -- he was going to remove a bridge mounted on couple of implants, check the implants for any movement, examine the area with an apparatus called Perioscope which would guide him through a precision treatment of any inflamed areas. A few days later I went for the treatment. First thing they did was charge me $1,299.00, which I paid. I never saw the doctor. Instead, a nameless woman, who I thought was the doctor's assistant, put me in a chair, applied anesthesia, and cleaned the roots of one wisdom tooth that I had next to the implants, and then she scratched a bit the areas around the implants. Then she applied antibiotic, and that that was that. Altogether, the whole procedure took about 30 minutes. And it wasn't painless. So, stay away. This place is a ripoff. read more

Dreadful!! Avoid at all costs! Sara is the worst. This business tries to rip you off. After initial consultation, they made a follow-up appointment and provided us with a care plan that was thousands of dollars, almost all of which they claimed was not covered by insurance. So I called the insurance company, checked all the proposed services and found that they were marking up prices by hundreds of dollars. I sent them two emails over the course of two months asking them to review and correct the care plan. They never responded. In advance of the follow-up appointment, I called Sara, who was rude and hung up on me. Then she sent an email saying they "no longer take this insurance," which is ridiculous because it was Blue Shield; they informed us that they had cancelled the appointment and that was that. Another time I had to go home after waiting 1 hour for my appointment (and being numbed, mind you.) The dentist was very nice and took me the following week on time. NOW I am told I'm being charged a cancellation fee for a mistake the receptionist made. I literally have a voicemail from her saying my appointment is at 11:30am and she insists my appointment was at 10:40 and is proceeding with charging the fee. I will not be returning. I don't have much to say about the doctor. He's a nice guy who likes to converse and always has a smile on his face. But the front staff, mainly Sarah. Omg. She never recalls anything, and the patient seems to be in the wrong. Our situation was a bit on the odd side. We came in December, my husband got his temporary crown and we ended up moving to South Carolina for 3 months. When we came back we kinda picked up from where we left off. Well, bad call. Not only did they throw a $800+ payment in our face, they said that they had pre authorization and that the crown was covered....only to find out that it was not. So since we have been back we have been to the office maybe 5 times. And we just found out about the bill two weeks ago. Something does not seem to be right. I got another story from the other lady working in the front who I trust 100%. I will not be coming back. On top of all of this, my character was questioned, and false information was said about me. So apparently my options are as follows; 1) Go in and have to pay for services my insurance covers and tells me not to pay for. 2) Pay the $250 cancelation bill. Be very wary of this place, and if you do decide to go here, read your insurance benefits thru and thru and then double check with your provider. My dentist of 20 years Dr. A Laleian announced that he is merging his practice and provided us with a new address and phone number. When I called to make an appointment for my next cleaning I asked specifically for him, and was given a date 2 months later which puzzled me as they usually accommodated me within a week or so. My husband and I arrived on time to the new location which turned out to be Glendale Premier Dental. From the start I was concerned - the office looked dirty, old and shabby (with very dated dental equipment). Patients in the waiting room were not wearing masks and no one bothered to ask them to. We were then sent to two separate rooms and the hygienist came in asking when was my last cleaning. I told her I got a cleaning with Dr. Laleian every 3-4 months for the past 20 years. Dr. Laleian did the cleaning himself with the help of his assistant using an ultrasonic scaler. He also took X-rays every year. The hygienist told me I was due for X-rays and took them. After that the horror began. Aggressive painful scaling and probing of my teeth and gums. I was bleeding profusely and in in enormous pain. Not even comparable to my previous experience with Dr Laleian. After 10-15 minutes of this torture the hygienist told me she will take measurements but she is certain I need deep cleaning. At this point I simply said: that's it, I need to go. I knew this was a scam to get as much as possible $$$ out of patients. Not even once have I been told I need deep cleaning and I have had regular frequent visits and maintained meticulous dental hygiene. I went to the reception and explained I would like my records as I would be looking for a new dentists. At this point it was obvious that I was lied to-Dr. Laleian was not practicing there, he simply sold them his practice. Why was I told I am getting an appointment with Laleian when I booked? I wasted my time and money when I could have gone to a reputable place recommended by friends. The receptionist told me that the reason for my discomfort was that for the past 20 years I was getting a cleaning by a dentist vs a hygienist which is not as good (??????). They would not give me my X-rays and said my new dentist should call to request. A day after this experience my teeth are sore and I feel discomfort from the rough treatment I got yesterday. DO NOT GO TO DENTAL PREMIER. Also disappointed that I was mislead by Dr Laleian and not simply told he is retiring. Clearly the maneuver was to try and sell a robust practice but I guarantee his old patients will feel cheated and betrayed and will shortly realize it and leave the new practice. read more

Had the worst experience at this office. Went in to get a cleaning that I had not had done in almost 2 years. Was told I needed a deep cleaning, which I knew I would need. They quote for my co-pay was going to $1650 when I questioned why the lady got very defensive. I called my insurance co and they were trying to bill me for a procedure that is not to be charged when I questioned her she would not give me an explaination as to why. I tried to talk to the dentist who would not help either as he claims he knows nothing about insurance. I tried to explain that she was trying to charge me for something insurance said they should not. Long story short I got mad, said a few things I shouldn't have but will not recommend them to anyone. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE! In mid-March I went in for a regular cleaning. I had been told earlier I should have bonding on one of my teeth so I asked the hygienist if I could talk to the dentist about getting it done. He came in and told me I needed to have a procedure called "pin-holing" done because my gums had receded. He said it was practically painless and not too expensive. Also, they would hook me up with a company to let me make payments for two years without interest. I was skeptical, but the dentist also told me that if I decided to cancel, just call and they would cancel everything including the no-interest loan. The office manager had me sign the paperwork for the loan and five minutes later came back to tell me I had been approved. She said they gave me a 50% discount, so the six teeth I needed to have pin-holed would only cost me $600 each. I made an appointment to get the procedure done, went home and did some investigating online. I found out pin-holing is basically a fake procedure in which the dentist sticks a needle into your gums, irritates them into swelling up so it looks like the gums are no longer receding. As soon as the swelling goes down, the gums go back to where they were originally and you are back at square one. I called to cancel the appointment and was informed the office was closed. I explained the situation, emphatically telling the person on the phone I was cancelling the procedure and needed them to call the lending company and cancel the loan. The person on the phone told me she was not in the office and could not look up my account, but would do so in two weeks when they re-opened. She also told me the lending company was closed. This was a lie. I called the company myself and explained the situation. The company rep called Glendale Premier Dental, before coming back to me to let me know they could nothing until the dental office re-opened. But don't worry because I would not be billed until the situation was straightened out. By the way, the amount of the loan is $5,864.00, so how six teeth at $600 each (6 X $600 = $3,600) comes to this total, I don' know. Yesterday I got a bill for the first payment on the $5,800 loan. Again, called the lending company and they called the dentist office. Was told they are now closed until at least May 04 because of COVID-19. The lender's recommendation is that I make the payments and when the dental office re-opens, the money will be reimbursed. Yeah, right. If I do not make the payments, I will incur a $27 late fee and my no-interest loan will become a 26% interest loan. The dental office closed without informing me, the patient. They also charged me $195 for x-rays which they did not take during my original office visit. If possible, they were get no stars on this review. read more

The worst part about this one star review is that I haven't even seen the dentist. The front office staff are some of the most inept people I've dealt with. I went there weeks ago with my daughter who had broken a tooth for a referral to a pedontist. I had called ahead of time to make sure they accepted my insurance and was told they did, so I stopped my search and made an appointment. The day before the appointment at 5pm they call me to verify my insurance, with the possibility that they may not accept it. I was furious. I already had the time off work and at 5pm how am I supposed to be able to call another dentist to make other arrangements? Luck was on my side (well not really) and they did accept it. The appointment consisted of the dentist confirming the tooth was broken and authorizing the referral, which took all of two minutes. I know a referral can take time, so I waited almost 3 weeks before checking with my insurance for an eta. Lo and behold... they received nothing. I call Glendale Premier on Friday to follow up and am told they'll call back in 15 mins. No one ever calls. I call today.. and I'm told they need to pull her file and they'll call in 15. Nah uh, I make them put me on hold cause I know no one is calling me back. Turns out, they never sent in a referral! So, I probably won't ever return to this wretched place and their glorious ineptitude. I wouldn't recommend any one else go there also. Shame, the dentist might be a decent guy. read more

Highly recommend! Just had a visit with Dr. Matossian and I can say I left there feeling great. I woke up Sunday morning with a painful toothache thinking it will go away in a day. Monday morning my jaw was swollen and I was in extreme pain. After calling a few places I was rejected due to my last minute appointment request, however Dr. Matossian's staff was able to book me an appointment for the same day! They were extremely busy but after asking a few questions to gauge the severity of my pain I was told to come into the office asap. I walked in and was greeted by such a warm receptionist who helped me fill out the paperwork and prepared me for the x-rays. When Dr. Matossian saw my x-rays he immediately got right to it and didn't waste my time. Unfortunately I had to get a root canal and had a massive tooth infection. The process since day one has been absolutely painless and I did not feel beat up the next day. I appreciate how straightforward, honest and calm he is. Hard to find that among many doctors these days. I have a few more appointments left to complete my treatment and I can finally say that after many years I have found a dentist I trust. I can't say enough about the quality and professionalism of the office and the stuff. I have recommended them to many friends and will continue to do so! read more

The place had a weird and unconstructed atmosphere that made you feel uncomfortable.
