I called mid-afternoon on Monday (President's Day) to make check if they were open, and was told that they would be open until 6:00-6:15. I made an appointment for 5:20pm for a gel manicure and a pedicure as I also had to work that day. When I arrived I was incredibly rushed. They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time, which usually doesn't bother me but it was incredibly clear they were trying to rush me out. My pedicure was great, the younger woman who did my pedicure did a nice and thorough job. The woman doing my manicure was clearly perturbed that I was there. She rushed through the manicure, got polish on my fingers, did a terrible job on the design (I wanted small hearts, they look like blobs.) She barely massaged my hands, and she was clearly making comments about me that the woman doing my pedicure laughed at. They both made a comment that "if they don't have any customers they get to leave early" so they wanted to get me out as fast as possible. At the end of the services they rushed me out and had be pay without even letting my toes dry. I tipped the woman who did my pedicure 20%, and the woman who did my manicure a little over 15%. When she took my cash and she immediately counted it, threw it down on her counter and scoffed. Today (4 days after I went) the gel polish on my fingernails has peeled off. I am disappointed, I was previously a frequent customer but I will not be returning. read more

been going for several years but most recently new ownership and today was my last time. they try over and over to push another $5 since your heels are rough or another $5 for another few minutes of a half good massage. todays girl did my pedi ALL out OF ORDER! no oil or massage or hot stones yet but did the polish...then the oil and tiny massage and she had to stay clear of my feet since they were freshly painted! hot stones were cold...the two women next to me had the proper order and I get them all the time so I knew she was off! first time I had this same girl she forgot to put the final coat for the gel and when I mentioned it she says shush and laughed! and she said I didn't need the bowl of water to soak, said they don't do that anymore....YES THEY DO!! read more

Nancy was so kind and even though her English was limited she tried hard to communicate and she did a fantastic job! Nothing hurt during my pedicure or manicure. I even had a sore on my finger that was healing and she worked around it so gently. She was meticulous and I was thrilled with the smoothness of my feet, the cleanliness of the foot spa, and the gel manicure is perfect even on my little nail beds. Every experience I've had here has been great. I got a gel manicure and my nail tech thoroughly cleaned and shaped my nails. They have a huge selection of polishes (gel and regular). The polish has stayed on perfectly for over 2 weeks. Plus, they give you a discount if you pay for your service in cash! read more

Not very clean, the water for the pedi was cold, I asked for it to be warm and they added more cold. The whole place smelled like onions and just seemed super dirty. The pedi chairs are so close together two people can't have their side tables up at the same time. One side of the massage chair was also not working. The tech added acetone to the polish and a lot of the polishes on the wall have separated which means they are old. The plexi glass between the tech and me was dirty as well. read more

Love this place for the most part. I gave it one less star though because the woman I've had the last three or so times does not give good pedicures. She skipped a few things all the others technicians always do and she rushes through them.. I've never had quicker pedicures in my life and thats not a good thing. The first and last time I will ever go here to get my nails done...the girl who was doing my nails, just got up in the middle of doing my fill to go sit in one of the pedicure chairs and was talking with another one of the field who worked there without even saying anything to me that she had to go on lunch or had to excuse herself. She sent some guy over to take over for her, again without saying anything to me and he did such a horrible job that he must have left crazy air pockets on almost all of the nails, resulting in a fungus. I've had acrylics for years, and have never had this problem until then. Thankfully I caught it in time where it was just on my nail, and not underneath. I went on a Sunday and there were only two other people getting treatment, so it felt like I had the place to myself. The stylist was EXCELLENT! My nails haven't looked this good in a long time and I get a lot of manicures. Since I live in Norton, I will now only go to California Nails. I highly recommend it. BEST PEDICURE IVE EVER HAD! First of all I am an esthetician and I have worked in two spas that offered nail services. With that being said I have NEVER had a pedicure even close to this one. My feet were scrubbed, filed, massaged with hands (5 mins), hot stone massage, and efficiency shaped. All the tools were removed from a sealed packet and the pedicure area is perfectly clean. I got my eyelashes done here this evening. I went in for a fill and I do not typically come here but was recommended to go from my mom. She said it was quick and they did an okay job. I also think they did an okay job. The set up for the room was nothing special. I was kind of sketched out because it seemed a little uncleanly compared to other places I had been. The tech doing my eyelashes also did not have the proper eye pads to glue down the bottom lashes and instead used scotch tape which I was not very happy about as it hurt when she peeled it off. I don't think I will be going back. Although it was quick and cheaper than some places I think I'd rather pay more and take longer than going here again. I was really hoping to find this place to be great as other reviewers had said but sadly I am disappointed. read more

I was coming here for a while almost every two weeks but then I just felt the customer service was off. I went back today..I was surprised they looked they had more colors and the music on was better. All the staff had their earplugs on listening to shows on their phone and then didn't take them off during service. The male that actually did my manicure..did a great job but he pretty much was allergic to acetone and admitted that and that was awkward he should been wearing gloves as his fingers were alittle messed up and skin was repairing ... I had to yelp this place finally bc I would over look it all except he literally took a black and decker to the service table in my face and didn't listen to me in regards to the accent nail. I got a Mani and a Pedi and the woman who did my nails paid close attention to details and was very thorough. I normally do not like Pedi because it hurts my feet but she inquired if I felt pain and was sensitive to my reactions. ***Warning the messages, warm rocks and clothes do take up time so if you want a Mani/Pedi treatment, expect it to take about 1hr and 1/2. read more

In all fairness, I feel I should say something positive about California Nails in Norton, Ma. I have been going to this establishment for 7 years. I was a walk in when I moved to Norton. They did a great job and their prices are the best around. So I continued with them, and I have been satisfied ever since. I have been in the salon when a client will come in and feel that they haven't gotten good service. And no matter what they try to do to fix it , the client is not satisfied. Definitely one of the worst nail salons around the girls are very rude and get aggravated when they have to do their job I went in there for a gel manicure and regular pedicure they told me to pick my color and got annoyed with me because I asked them if I could have the matching OPI color in regular polish for my toes the girl who was doing my nails got up and walked away and was talking about me to her co worker right in front of me! No people skills and did not have a conversation with me at all she then proceeded to file my nails after I asked her four times not to change the shape of my fingernails I was annoyed with her and she removed my gel polish with a cuticle cutter and scraped the hell out of my nails I just had to put acrylics back on because she damaged my natural nails so badly with her intense scraping with the cuticle cutter this place sucks so bad don't waste time going to these jerks read more
