California Pools is the most professional pool service you can get in the Los Angeles area. My experience with California Pools was simply amazing. I can safely say that whatever issues you'll get with other pool companies, you will not have with California Pools. We've searched around and around looking for people whom we can trust and depend on to finish a job with the utmost professionalism, and I'm so glad we chose California Pools. My family and I came to California Pools with a very basic idea. We want a pool! Fortunately California Pools took our simple idea and helped us turn it into something amazing. There was a lot to account for before starting: the shape of the pool, depth, width. We have trees in our back yard so we had to account for them, as well as placement of the pool in relation to the backdoor and patio. At first it seemed overwhelming, but California Pools guided us on what would be most economically efficient, and aesthetically pleasing. They showed us pictures, designs, they gave us many references on the other pools they have done, and they also showed us various samples of the minerals and materials we could choose from to make our pool. Like most customers, we had a budget. Especially with a project of this size. California Pools understood that. That's why they recommended materials that we could use that were also within our budget. Some people might think that means you wont get good looking materials, or you'll get something that might seem cheap or tacky. On the contrary, proceeding with what they recommended actually saved us money and exceeded our expectations of what our backyard could be. Building the pool took exactly 93 days to finish, including filling the pool up with water. Every day the California Pools team would be at our house, ready to work at 7am, sharp. These guys are quick, efficient, consistent and reliable. We never had a problem with anyone who came to our house. After making the decision of putting in a pool the process of choosing a pool builder began. I interviewed 5 different pool builders and made my decision based on several things. 1. Pool experience and longevity in the business. 2. Their knowledge of the pool business and customer service. 3. Compatibility with me. The end result was DEFINITELY "California Pool and Spa, Ventura. I really liked the fact that Myles and Mike Smith took their time and TAUGHT me the process at every stage, I agree I can be high maintenance, and had a lot of questions which I could text Myles or Mike anytime (which I did). Sometimes was after business hours. It was a long process from beginning to end with some add-ons and changes throughout the 2+ month process. My old and rundown backyard was slowly changing before my eyes into a beautiful oasis that I absolutely am proud to show off and brag about to anyone who will listen. Mike Smith is truly an awseome person to work with, as well as their mason PePe, and electricians are all amazing people and know their stuff. Their entire crew at every stage of the pool process are all professionals. Ryan Skelton from Poolwise is awesome too, I am still calling him for questions regarding the pool equipment and remote and he knows exactly what I am asking and sets it up exactly the way I want. Before I bought my new house, I called California Pools to come and tell me if I could put in a pool. I called 2 other companies as well. Vanz, from California Pools was the one that showed up, on time, and prepared. We spent hours looking at the property and discussing the possibilities. He got excited with us and started showing me the possibilities. He drew up some plans and we agreed on a schedule and budget. Throughout the process Vanz was there. Our project supervisor, Dan, was 100% available when I had questions. It would have come in on budget if I hadn't decided I needed a whole bunch of stuff I hadn't thought of. And those things are great. They came in on schedule, despite a lot of weather issues and changes I thought of too late. My pool is so friggin beautiful I can't even begin to describe it. Every step of the process was handled by amazing professionals. Dan, the supervisor, was there at every crucial moment. My yard looked like a war zone for a few months, but they put it back to normal and now I have a pool that Sinatra would envy. California Pools didn't give me the cheapest quote, but they delivered the best pool with the least drama. They came in on schedule! Can I say that again? They came in on schedule! You want the best pool, spa and backyard...call Vanz Steimle at California Pools. I thought this project was going to be a long and stressful process and I was wrong. Vanz took my ideas and used his knowledge and experience to design my dream pool and spa. Vanz was very patient with all of my questions and concerns. He provided detailed information and options regarding materials and equipment that would be used in my project. He was available throughout the entire project and met every promise he committed to. I also want to give thanks to Mike Williams (Masonry) and his crew for the professional attention to detail with copping around the pool and allowing me to design the huge fire pit. Most concrete decking is just concrete decking, but Mike and his crew surprised me with the detail on the design of the lines and it was all symmetrical to the layout of the backyard. I hope to us him for other concrete work. When you have this type of experience when making a large investment, you want to let everyone know. If I am fortunate to build another pool in my life, I will be calling these guys again. They provided very competitive pricing and after the project was complete, it was worth every penny. We had heard about California Pools before. We started watching "Pool Kings" on HGTV & that really inspired us! The story begins... We've been dreaming of a pool our whole married life (30 Years) Sooooo we decided to finally go on California Pools website. We emailed a message and Myles Steimle - General Manager got back to us right away. Scheduled an appt. for a quote/design & from there it took off. From a computer designed image , to quotes for each step of the way it was all spelled out to us. We had some of our own ideas & CA Pools really worked w/ us to get what we really wanted. Step in Brett Clarke - Project Manager. Brett guided us from our first meeting like a family friend. We had interaction w/ him almost everyday. By phone call or text or just stopping by. We knew the daily schedule of construction every step of the way. Our "Bible" the binder they gave us spells it all out. From choices of material, payment coupons & even a bumper sticker - so much information. All the contractors-Stone Masons, plumbers & electrical have been professional, clean & mindful of their work. We interviewed several pool companies and once we talked with Vanz Steimie of California Pools, we were sure we had found THE ONE. Vanz and his assistant Rob were always available with any answers to our questions. Vanz explained the entire process start to finish so that there were no surprises and was always available with product information and opinions for our(my) nervous choice decisions. Vanz and Rob were always on time and good with fast replies to phone calls and text/emails. Going through any process of construction on your property is stressful - at least for me - but I have to say this was stress free and always fun to see the progression of the pool. We love our pool and would recommend Vanz and California Pools to our friends or strangers for that matter. We recently used California Pools to build our new pool in Montecito CA. We initially chose them because of their responsiveness and the fact that they were by far the lowest bid we received in comparison to multiple different builders. Myles and Mike were amazing throughout the entire process. Their professionalism and willingness to work with us to design, plan, and build our new pool exceeded our expectations. They were honest and upfront with regard to pricing, building timelines, and what to expect every step of the way. When we had questions or concerns about design, tile, hardscape, or plaster, they were very knowledgeable and willing to help us with each of those decisions. While they might be considered a relatively large pool building company, we never felt small or disregarded. In the end, we have a beautiful pool that we will enjoy for years to come. Our recent experience with California Pools went extremely well. From selecting tiles and pebble sheen from their sales rep, Myles, to the actual labor of preparation, tile work, and the application of the sheen, the process went seamlessly and quickly. Mike was an awesome, pivotal person in this project. People showed up when expected, cleaned up after themselves, and dialogued with us along the way, answering questions and outlining plans for the day and for their expected return. The pool, which was in very poor shape beforehand, looks beautiful and the work should last for years and years to come. We coordinated with the Camarillo office, but also selected tiles from the showroom in Van Nuys, where we received the guidance we needed even though they were quite busy on a Saturday morning. California Pools transformed our all dirt back yard with no drainage into a beautiful space that has been great for entertaining! They installed a rectangular pool and spa, with great decking and drainage, a retaining wall, and steps. Myles, the owner, is as nice as they come, and he was helpful and patient as he explained all of the options and we finalized our design plans. He stopped by on several occasions to ensure that project was going smoothly. Mike Smith, the construction manager, has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and always responded quickly whenever we had questions. Not only did they come in with a excellent quote they guided me through the myriad of choices and did so with incredible patience. Myles was informative, gave honest opinions on how he would approach aspects of the project, and made himself available for all of my questions as I worked through comparing quotes and companies. We used California Pools a four years ago. Myles did an excellent job overall. He kept to agreed price and included everything he promised. He took care of all the details, including talking to the homeowners association, advising regarding tree removal and providing a subcontractor to do some work outside the scope of the bid, to help us keep the price down. They kept the schedule of subcontractors moving along smoothly and finished the job as per the agreed timeline. The end result was a well built pool, within our budget, that has remained in excellent condition over the past four years. Various crews were polite, hardworking and professional. Myles and Brett were responsive to our questions and any issues that came up. Wow! We should not have waited so long for California Pools to resurface our thirty-year-old plaster pool. The new Pebble Sheen Blue Granite looks great! Way better than when the original dark plaster was installed. (That was a different contractor, now defunct). Myles and Brett were very responsive and, most importantly, they used high-quality, professional, competent subcontractors that did very high-quality work at every stage in the process. All were respectful and cleaned up well, but noisy and dusty work is inevitable and big trucks fill the driveway for a job like this. Anyway, glad it's over with, but it was well worth the cost and relatively-minor disturbance. read more
