After a couple of leaks due to our old pipes, we decided to go ahead and do a whole home repipe. Since it's a major project, I got about seven bids. There was a wide range in price, materials used, warranty, and customer service. I liked that many of Petar's positive reviews included happy full-home repipe customers, whereas most plumbers only had a couple of repipe reviews. He uses top-quality copper pipe that's made in the USA, provides a long warranty, and is easy to work with. He gave us his professional opinions on things like Pex vs Copper, but ultimately left the decisions to us. While not the absolute least expensive, we decided his estimate offered the best long-term value. Despite him being booked out a few weeks, we decided to go with Petar. We're very happy we did. Him and his team worked efficiently to get the job done well in a reasonable amount of time, and kept the home clean throughout the process. His Mom is such a friendly person and made sure the house was protected and cleaned up throughout the project. Petar was even nice enough to make a few upgrades to our water heater during the project and only charged us for the parts. Another huge bonus is he's very talented at drywall repair. After we painted, you really can't tell where they cut the drywall. I would say his drywall repairs were even better than a professional painter we hired for some work previously. As with all major projects, there were a couple small hurdles, but we were able to resolve them without too much hassle. We had our whole house repiped with Pex pipes. Petar's price was reasonable and included a city permit and inspection, and also drywall repair and texturing when the plumbing work was completed. Petar was careful to cover furniture and flooring and put up plastic sheeting to protect areas that were not part of the job. Work areas were swept clean at the end of each day. When I looked at all the holes in the walls and ceiling (and there were many), Petar said, "Don't worry. When I'm done, it will look like we were never here". I admit, I was skeptical. But I have to say, he is more skilled at drywall and texturing than some drywall "specialists" that I have hired in the past. I would even go as far as saying I would not only hire him for my future plumbing needs, but I would have him come back when I need drywall or texturing repairs! One more thing: although it was not really part of the job, Petar corrected plumbing mistakes that were made by the general contractor who remodeled my bathrooms. read more

We were in trouble, as our water pipes were over 35 years old and starting to disintegrate (the old, gray polybutylene (PB) ones), so we needed to have our whole house re-piped ASAP! (I had already repaired two leaks within the last three months myself up in the attic.) We had gotten two other quotes and his was by far the best and most comprehensive. A friend recommended Petar and his company and I'm so happy I found him! A little backstory: my son had hired a "general contractor" to he found on craigslist to remodel his master bathroom. Thousands of dollars later and the work was terrible and everything that gentleman did was wrong, including the Plumbing, tile work, electric etc. To make things worse, the new shower was leaking! We needed a repipe and weren't sure where to start. We first called Peter at California Repipe after seeing so many positive reviews. About 5 minutes into our consultation at the house, I knew he was going to get the job, but I felt I should get another estimate for good measure. The other quote was actually slightly lower, but my mind was made up. The reason was simple, I could tell that Peter knew exactly what he was doing and that he took enough pride in his work to finish the job. Our house had some unexpected things get in the way (HVAC, electrical, etc.). Peter put in the time and effort to figure out a way to make everything work flawlessly. We decided to install a whole house water filter at the last minute. Peter worked with the manufacturer to get the exact model we needed and performed a great install. Our water is clean and hot water gets to every faucet quicker than before. We don't have to worry about any more pipe leaks. Our neighborhood has a ton of issues with slab leaks and we will not have to worry about that ever again either. All drywall patched up and ready for our painter to come in and finish things up. I don't do many online reviews because they take time and effort. However, I was so impressed by the professionalism, quality of work, honesty, and great value for the work done by Petar and his entire crew at California Repipe and Plumbing that I literally jumped at the chance to give my review. My wife and I bought our house 24 years ago and the poor quality of water in our area caused our pipes to erode faster than normal. We had three instances of pin hole leaks in our ceiling and walls in the past couple of years, and we finally decided to get our entire home repiped. The company that fixed one of our pin hole leaks gave us an estimate that was in the several tens of thousands of dollars. I decided right then to get a few more estimates. Frankly, most of the companies coming out for estimates, gave very generic, fast, non-specific and costly job estimates. I called California Repipe and the owner Petar said that he would personally come out and do the estimate. When he came over, he spent a great deal of time in each area of the inside and outside of the house, and walked me through each room of the house to tell me what would be needed in each room. He explained that the job would take him a specific amount of time and perhaps a day or two longer because his company also included the drywalling after the repipe. The very next day, Petar sent over the estimate, which itemized every little detail that would be included (and a few exclusions, too), time involved, warranty, and finally the total cost of the job. To my surprise, Petar's price (which included drywalling) came out considerably lower than the majority of the bids. My wife and I looked at the quote, discussed how comfortable we felt and trusted Petar, and immediately called to accept the bid. The job started on time, and each and every day Petar and his crew made sure that we had running water, a working toilet and shower, and that the home was cleaned up enough to be livable each evening. To our great surprise and delight, Petar's work crew is also his family. Petar's mother, his sister and brother all participating in the opening of the walls and ceilings, creation of new copper pipes, moving of furniture and materials, installing all new fittings for each water hookup, and finally the closing up of the drywall and texturing of drywall to make it look nearly matching our paint! They did take two extra days to make sure that the drywalling was properly done, but it was told to us in advance and we are so glad they took the time to do it right. Sorry for the long review, but home repiping is a major job, and California Repipe are specialists at what they do, and they do it every week at different homes and businesses, and do it right. It is important for people shopping for repiping their homes that this construction job is a major one, and it is paramount that you choose a company that you can trust and that will do it with professionalism, craftsmanship, and at a price that is reasonable. We started having rusty hot water and I thought I needed a new hot water heater tank. I called what I thought was the warranty number but instead a company came out with my new hot water heater tank and said it's fully covered but I needed to choose from their different plans - all huge rip offs! They wanted to replace my whole house system with tankless or water purification system. So I refused and said just leave the tank. They laughed and said no, then forced me to pay $99 for the trip out which they scheduled without my knowledge the day after I called. Well, Peter saved the day! He suggested that I call the actual manufacturer of the tank and they asked Peter to call them. He did this above and beyond extra work and went and got a new anode. Came out to my house, flushed the tank, not only replaced the anode but took pictures to show me everything in detail and explain it to me! He saved me hundreds of dollars!
