One water promised soft water but their products did not deliver that promise. We purchased their elite 15 system + the additional Central water descaler. Both were recommended to achieve softer water. The water is so hard, I'm unable to wash my hair properly. It feels extremely sticky/waxy after washing my hair due to the calcium and magnesium in the water. I've been having to wash my hair with distilled water, which helped however is extremely inconvenient. With further research, I came upon a salt water shower head, which worked! We've tested the water with testing strips and it shows the water is extremely hard, with the one water systems installed. Extremely disappointed, as we spent thousands of dollars promising soft water but promises were undelivered. We had a pipe leak that caused major damage to a bathroom. We had a lot of calcium build-up on our valves and we were told by the repairing plumbers that we should have a water softener. After much research and consulting our hydrogeologist daughter, we decided that the One Water System was by far the best. We like that it removes toxins from the water with carbon and breaks down the calcium/magnesium into microparticles instead of adding salt to counter the hardness.Two weeks after the installation, our water tastes so clean and fresh. In addition, his tech conducted only 9 check ups or services, not 11, for due to Covid-19, there was no service in 2020. After my last review I met with the plumber and owner of the plumbing company which was contracted by One Water Systems to perform the install. While discussing the issue with the owner we all agreed that the the dry wall was indeed burned/singed by the blowtorch which is used to solder copper and that damage should have been repaired. Unfortunately due to the interactions previously mentioned in the original interview I no longer wished to keep the system. I was able to work out an agreement with One Water Systems and the plumbing company which the contracted with to perform the removal. The removal was done this morning and was ultimately satisfactory. I was provided some compensation in lieu of repairs + a full refund which is about as good as I can hope for given the situation we were in. So while my interactions were not the best with One Water Systems I think both sides wish this outcome could have been better but ultimately we found a mutual parting of ways. Despite some negative interactions (part of which can be seen in how they responded to my original review), we were able to find some mutual ground to resolve our issues. So while I can't say I give them my full recommendation they did ultimately own up to their mistakes and I'm satisfied with the outcome. I would probably give the resolution a 4 star so when combined with my original review of 1 star I would leave my review as an overall 3 star which I think is more than fair. 2 additional points to make: The work was in fact from One Water Systems and I can provide documentation and pictures showing the tank if needed. I was asked to remove my original review but to comply with Yelp suggestions and policy I was asked to provide an update instead. read more

It's really unique because one thing we did is we set up a couple of rain barrels and once a week they unload the water, unloads the gray water. We have a pump and we have our plants watered with it. So it works out really well for us on that aspect. Then in addition, when you want water, you just go right to the faucet and turn it on. So, I think too, I feel like our clothes are cleaner and also the service, they have a great service plan that if there's any situation that we need help with, they'll be right there to help us. I called the company, they said it was due to water pressure and warranty is not covered. I checked the water pressure in my home, it was under 60psi. I explained the same thing to Kevin and team. But they didn't accept it, and they are taking very rudely. They are trying to escape in fixing or replacing the system with warranty. They were asking for $1750 for fixing. I feel once the system started giving problem they don't support. I requested atleast to remove the system from my home with free of cost as it was broken within few years, but they said the cost is $750 to remove the system. Many months ago I called One Water to ask some questions about my existing water softener. The owner (Kevin) not only answered the phone and my questions, but volunteered to come out and give me a free water and air test. He arrived promptly and analyzed my water. He educated me about the problems with a water softening system that used salt. He also educated me about the reverse osmosis system that I also had. He then analyzed my air quality both inside and outside (around) my house. Next came the recommendations. He never tried to sell me anything or use those high pressure sales techniques on me. His passion for what he was doing, the systems that he sells and believes in sold me on getting some of what he had to offer. I then agreed to purchase both the air and water purification systems. However, my budget was a bit tight and although O had agreed to purchase the systems and had a scheduled install date, Kevin put my order on hold until I was ready! WHO DOES THAT??? Anyway, fast forward 3 months and as of today, I am the proud owner of a One Water purification system as well as a Healthway pure air system! The installer was awesome as well, he knew his stuff and was very thoughtful and thorough. We purchased the system from Kevin, the owner, in 2014. We were given a 10-year warranty. Kevin told us after the 10 years, we'd only have to pay $900 to replace the filter, which will be good for another 10 years. As the 10th year was approaching, I contacted Kevin. He said it would be impossible to install a new filter without potential damage and possibly not being able to get the replacement parts to make it work. Kevin offered a new system with a 15-year warranty and current technology for $3300, which he claimed was a $1,500 discount.. Since the 10-year warranty had no value, I don't see how offering a 15-year warranty is a benefit. Heck, make it 50 years. What's the difference if you are not going to stand behind it. Over the years we had the water filter, the water was tested, an annual free benefit offered at purchase, only happened about half the time. Offering a warranty and then essentially voiding it is a deceitful business practice. For slightly more money, we decided to purchase a system from a much better rated company.
