First time coming to here as I was referred to by a guy an employee at Home Depot. I was looking for a particular hardware for my toilet. I walked in and saw an employee on the floor working. I just wanted to ask a quick question if they had that particular product (my phone out with the image displayed). He said," Hang on a sec." Told him airtight do your thing. He proceeded to then to continue what he was doing as I stood walking around isles clueless. 10 mins past and I just said fugit I'll ask the guy at the front. Stood in line and a couple were ahead of me. He sounded so polite and gave excellent service to them. As soon as they were done, I barely had a chance to finish my question and he abruptly said "Hang on, I have another customer on the line that I need to finish an order for." AT this point, I'm like wtf is this place so I walked out. Never I have ever experience such crap customer service. These 2 clowns weren't busy and could have spared me 1 min of their time to simply answer if they carried a product. I ended up ordering the part from Amazon and had it sent same day. Honestly, this is why retail and stores are dying because of this BS. Don't come to this lame as place for your toilet needs. You'll have a better experience at Amazon. Bunch of Bums. read more

This is the place a real pro goes. You better know what you want. Items are easy to find. Prices are more reasonable than the big box stores. Service? I was thrilled to call ahead, pick up my order and get back in the road in minutes. Elsewhere this would have cost me $100 more plus the time. I have to laugh when I read about good customer service. For my experiences in the parts department, it has been very poor. My last (and it will be my last) visit to Ferguson's was to find fittings for my plumbing project. Surprisingly, at least to me, there is not much of a variety in stock. I was going to ask for some opinions of what I had planned to use in the way of parts, and the guy mumbled incoherently to me. I asked him again and he pointed to somewhere else in the store. Finally, I heard someone say in the distance, "I'm already too busy." Then, someone did appear and asked how he could help. I explained what I was hoping to do, and he simply said that I should go to another store for my project. I showed him the Ferguson parts and how they could work for my project. Still, he said it might not work using the fewest words necessary-and with no other suggestions, or possible options. I could see from his expression that I was nothing more than a nuisance to him, so I returned the parts to their bins, and left the store. read more

Their support team is beyond excellent. I was looking to replace a broken tub spout. I brought the part and when we can't find a store replacement, Greg went out of his way to search the part in the Delta catalog. Came in for a water heater, had old one on truck, they helped me unload it and proceeded to sell me one that was 10 gallons smaller than the one I unloaded. Returned the unit and was charged 15% restock fee because I opened the box. Customer service is slow, the guys working there don't really seem to want to help. My guess is they really only cater to professional plumbers. Go to Lowes or Home depot for great return service and customer service. If the wanted to get rid of this customer for future business they succeeded. (also better warranty at Lowes) read more

Wow my first experience and it will be my last. Called asking for information on bathroom faucets and was placed on hold by someone until I finally gave up. Tried calling back a short time later. I was screened a second time for residential or commercial products and promptly placed on hold before having the same thing done to me again. Poor customer service. If you don't walk in there with the knowledge of a plumber, they have no time or patience for you. Asked them to order an alarm for a septic system. No return call. Didn't even order it. Looking through all of the Ferguson Plumbing location reviews...and it appears they have some real customer service issues across the board. We're building a house right now. Well...I was sent here by Lowes and told they have a large selection as well as people who have good product knowledge. Not my experience... Poorly marked entrance so I went through an office via which I was (dismissedly) sent to the shop. Located one person working who told me he couldn't help me because he was doing inventory. (Let's see... Customer standing in front of you trying to spend money or paperwork. Which is the priority?) Then when I finally found someone else he said they don't carry the product for which I was looking but he could order it. I can do that! If I didn't want to see something before I bought it why did I come to your store? Repeatedly I hear about wholesalers and retailers struggling yet a basic level of customer service is non existent. I'll not be back, nor will I work with a plumber who purchases from this business. read more

Here I walked up to counter, person I talked to knew exactly what I needed, found it and I was outta there in no time. Too easy! I try not to come to this location for one reason only... the customer service is below satisfactory. Even if I'm working in the area. I try and go to the mercury street location because those guys are great. I have been to this location about 3 times in the last 2 weeks because I have a job going about 7 miles away so it's really convenient but each time I have dealt with a different employee at the parts counter. And each time they have all acted like they didn't even want to help you. I tried doing will call twice because I was in a rush and with the other locations when you do will call everything is usually ready. Well when I did it the first time I ended up spending literally 1 full hour waiting for the guy to get everything together and re doing the paper work because when called in the order I told them that I would have a PO when I got to the store and that I needed to add more parts. Well when I got to the store they had nothing pulled. I ordered almost 200 ft of gas pipe , I had to go with the guy to measure and cut what I needed . Then they had the invoice closed out before I got there with a PO that I have no clue where they generated it from . It was a huge waste of time and defeated the purpose of calling in my order ahead. Luckily that day they had another vendor there giving free breakfast so I had time to eat while I waited. At the end the guy told me that next time tell the people over the phone to not close it out so I can add stuff when I got here. (Which I pretty much did but I wasn't going to argue). Which brings me to my 3rd visit ( the second visit was a quicker one because I was just returning a rental but the young man that helped me was kind of annoyed when I asked him if I can have a total price for my rental which wasn't on the invoice. And I kinda need to know that ) so back to the 3rd visit. I called in another will call and I talked to Lita from the mercury location. She is always really good to deal with so I was pleasantly surprised when I heard her taking a order for the Escondido store, but anyways I told her 2 times not to close it out after I have her the PO because I still needed to get more stuff. Well sure enough when I'm in the store putting my stuff on the counter the guy asks me what was the PO I told him it's the same one. He didn't say anything then ended up printing out 2 separate invoice (1 for the water heater I will called and the 2nd for the other parts. ) which at the company I work for it's a big no no to do that . I don't want to explain that to the guy because I would be there for another hour having him re do it and I didn't need anymore attitude from him because i would have matched his reaction. Anyways I don't like doing too many bad reviews because people write reviews on me too so I know it's sucks when you get a bad one but after having 3 separate interactions with employees that have very poor customer service skills I just had too. read more

I don't think anyone here has ever used a phone before. I called to get a price on an item and was helped by Michelle. She was very friendly and said she'd check on the price for me and asked if I'd hold. As soon as she put me on hold, the phone rang and someone else picked up. I told them Michelle was helping me and they said they'd transfer me back. The phone rang again and another guy picked up. I told him the same thing and he again transferred me. Again they phone rang and yet again a different person picked up. I asked to speak with Michelle and they asked for a last name. Like employees give their last name. I asked if there was more than one Michelle and they said "we have lots of Michelles". What? I asked how many where working right now and she didn't know. I wanted to give them my business, but I guess I'll be going to a big box store. I can't believe I was on the phone for 20+ minutes and never even got the answer to my question. Not sure how this place stays in business, they basically turn away business with their inept customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else, don't even call, it only makes it worse. read more
